Boston Chops - South End
Excellent service! The server Kevin (I think that’s his name) was really attentive. The food was delicious. Overall an amazing experience.
This is a great place to go to for special occasions. My rib eye was cooked to perfection. Their mushroom side is my go to every time I have the chance to eat there. Their brussels spouts is also one of my favorites but the portion here is a little small; more like for one than a side to share. The onion rings needs to have more flavor; not something I'd order again. They have an impressive wine list.
This was my first time having dinner at Boston Chops. We were celebrating our son's college graduation and decided to try the restaurant. We were so happy with our choice as the food was delicious, our wine was wonderful and our waiter was terrific. The Seabass is prepared perfectly and was great. The pork belly mac and cheese is delicious and the broccoli is outstanding. Our dinner was so good, we made a reservation for dinner the next night before we left.
Best steakhouse I’ve been to in Boston. There was an interesting spin on all the usual steakhouse food, with some great creative additions, and the service was impeccable.
Excellent food and service...really what eating out is meant to be!
Another great meal from start to finish. Love the honest opinions from the waitress with food recommendations.
My family and I had a great time for mothers day . Only thing was the family next to us made us feel like we weren't welcome (we are an African american family). Other then that the beef short rib was to die for =)
Definitely one of our favorite Boston restaurants. Beautiful setting, great food and professional servers! The staff graciously accommodated our request to turn our rectangular table into a square.
This place was awesome for Mothers Day! I will come back for engagement party!
Food was delicious! I would highly recommend for to anyone
Perfect Mothers Day Brunch spot- the menu was fantastic
Great food, great service. Perfect spot to celebrate my son’s graduation. Highly recommended!
Everything was perfect from the table to the service to the food! Sea bass crusted in sesame was amazing.. a little pricey but really really good. 290.00 with tip 4 people with 1 drink each.
Excellent experience overall: the food, drinks, atmosphere, and the entire staff.
Boston Chops is our go to place for Sunday brunch. It's not noisy or crowded. The wait staff couldn't be more helpful. The food is very good, especially those naughty sticky buns that come automatically.
Worth a try if you haven't been.
Outstanding service, every dish was absolutely delicious! Out steaks were cooked perfectly! The French Onion soup is a classic! I can’t wait to go again! My #1 Steakhouse
Came on a Friday. Love coming to this location. Bryan or Byran (forgot) was our server, he was very attentive and professional. Had him in the past as a server and he never disappoints. The only negative I would say which was not that big of a deal was the bartender. He wasn't attentive or welcoming and he was sorta stand offish to me (at least) and never asked if I wanted another drink as I was nearing the end of mine. Maybe he was having a bad day? Nevertheless, Food was great as usual! Overall it was good experience of course I'll be back!
Outstanding service and ambiance. Very attentive and responded to my inquiry about a children't menu multiple times (in a good way). Food was outstanding. Expensive but well worth it for our Graduation Celebration! Thanks for making it special.
We just love this place! Food is so good, fun atmosphere, and service is always fantastic. Alessandro made sure we had a blast. One of the best run restaurants in the city.
One of the best steak restaurants I’ve ever been to! Outstanding service. Knowledgeable wait staff.
The Food is phenomenal. Definitely our favorite eatery in all of Boston. Everything from start to finish was prepared perfectly, even the Boozy Milkshake which I asked to open up with. Our Server, Leah, is the best person we have ever had take care of us at a restaurant. She is attentive, friendly, always making sure everything is perfect. #WeLuvLeah
Everything was outstanding. I had the short rib and it was divine. Who would have thought they would have the best onion rings you’ll ever experience? Yes, onion rings. Go figure. Highly recommend.
Brought my family from NY in for brunch and had the best time. The food was great, service was beyond excellent and overall vibe and atmosphere was on point. Y'all slayed it. Thank you!
This is a comment about service in Boston in general not Boston Chops specifically. Why are maitre Ds and wait staff in Boston always ready to argue with you? I have not experienced this anywhere in the world. Is it because they are part time students or artists and don't like the job?
I asked for our steak to be sliced and split like I have asked at 100 other establishments in NY, Chicago and LA and everywhere it is done without a word or a comment, silently, quickly and happily. But not Boston, here we need a treatise from the waiter on why they don't do that because blah blah blah. Then the kitchen goes and does it and the waiter needs to explain why he was mistaken. Really? Only in Boston.
Unbelievable experience for 7 people. Great steaks and cocktails. Finished with a couple esspresso martinis.
Will come back again.
I like this spot a lot. It’s a little quirky, great food, service, and ambience. Steakhouse but with a twist. It’s a bit pricey.
Excellent meal, though service was slow ..
Easter Brunch was delicious and value great! The service was wonderful
Family together for holiday weekend. Great Oysters, steaks cooked perfectly
Fantastic steak house with a large variety of choices. Creative side dishes and desserts...
The food was delicious and Thomas was a wonderful server. Definitely a place I'd recommend. I plan on coming back soon!
Terrific!! It was my husbands bday and also marathon weekend the server Leah was wonderful. Although the 4 of us didn’t order an app she had onion rings(amazing) sent over. Food was great and we were stuffed and didn’t order dessert but my husband order an after dinner drink and she brought it and also brought an after dinner drink for all of us complimentary. Leah was amazing. Ask for her!!!would definitely go back.
A fun, lively spot for a birthday dinner! The food was delicious, and our server was attentive and knowledgable. Definitely recommend!
Geat food and amazing service! Made my birthday feel special !
My first time here. Lovely neighborhood steak place without all the corporate feel. Nice helpful waiter. Tremendous bottle of wine. Great food. A bit pricier than expected. But a great overall experience.
My wife( it was her birthday dinner ), my son and I went for dinner on Sunday evening @ 6:30. We had a private booth and we could easily hold a conversation. It was a quiet night so I wonder how it would be when it was really busy. Everything we ordered was delightful.
Boston Chops always deliver! The food, the service, the atmosphere, the welcoming and hard working staff. They never miss! Best Boston restaurant ever!
I recently went to Boston Chops with some friends to celebrate a special occasion and really enjoyed our time there. I love Boston Chops for the food, ambiance and the overall experience. It is a classy, but not stuffy Steak House. Alessandro was our server and he was excellent. Very nice, attentive and made really great recommendations for us to eat and was spot on with them. The manager also came over and checked in with us during our meal and she was very pleasant and made sure we were enjoying our meal which I greatly appreciated. We ordered a lot of food, for appetizers, we started with the shrimp cocktail, kale salad, and tuna tartar. Then we ordered a couple of steaks, one that the server suggested and I never tried before, which was great, couple of sides and I don't know how we had room but we did get dessert. Overall, it was a great time, really nice experience and the food was awesome. Will be back to enjoy another great meal there.
This is the best steak house in Boston according to my girlfriend and myself as we eat out a lot. I brought my parents here who were visiting solely because of that and to try the chateaubriand which is the best steak in the city. Their shrimp cocktail rival Island Creeks for the best in the city in my opinion as well. This particular visit was a little bizarre because although we have eaten here many times, we were told we had to place our entire order at once which had never been the case prior. The waiter stated it was “chef’s orders” and he would of course space the meal. The exact opposite occurred. All of our appetizers and salads came at once which was frustrating. The other item that was a little odd was the wine “specials” started at $155. Lastly, just felt we were overall being upsold on stuff like an extra steak needed ($65 bone-in ribeye) for the table which with the amount of food ordered really wasn’t. Obviously, we will be back it was just an odd one off experience of the staff and I love how this place prides itself on not being a pretentious steakhouse for the quality, but again, wasn’t the case this time.
