Comfortable at the bar, excellent service. Bone in filet was delicious. Went here based on reviews, didn’t disappoint. I’ll be back.
Went out with a group of 8 guys here and had a blast. Great service, food and drinks. It's a lively vibe so if you're looking for a quiet meal, might not be the right spot.
The best service and food!
Our favorite restaurant!! Great service and great food as always!!!
It was a quiet Sunday evening and the food and ambiance was exactly what I needed!
We always love it here, first time for brunch which was as outstanding as dinner. Cannot wait to come back with friends, for both brunch and dinner!
Amazing restaurant but parking was tough. Loved the food and service!
We were excited to have a nice night out. The restaurant was crowded and service was slow. Steaks were over cooked. Probably wouldn’t go back
Great food & service. The tables are very close so it’s kind of noisy but not unbearable. The spicy broccoli was the best!
We had our family Thanksgiving dinner here and it was a great experience. We arrived early and were seated immediately. The staff was attentive but not over bearing. Even with a full room the were no wait times. Everything from the cocktails to the desert was perfect
Loved this place. Great atmosphere and food. We had the Thanksgiving meal but all the regular menu items looked fab on the tables around us. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a fun and tasty meal in Boston.
Great experience as always. Oysters were fresh. Oxtail croquettes were delicious. Steal tartare was spot on. Bone in filet, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.
Perfect anniversary dinner. Vinny took care of us from the start and answered all of our questions. Favorite item was the chocolate cake with black peppercorn ice cream.
The atmosphere was stylish and comfortable. The food and service was fantastic throughout the entire meal.
Everything was perfect! The warmest staff and amazing food make this our special occasion go to.
Special BDay celebration and they missed it when serving dessert, yet the table next door was celebrated. Very embarrassing. Food was good but expensive. It took a while to get to the table compared to adjoining tables. Servers seemed distracted by a large party. Change the Cesar salad to a chopped serving. Romaine leaves with sliced cheese on top is not a Cesar Salad. It's what I'd eat if I was picking it at a farm. Not worthy of the expense or the atmosphere of a high end steak house.
Popovers were excellent as was the Shrimp cocktail (outstanding) and Warm Chocolate Cake.
Took the wife and a few friends here for her birthday. The service was outstanding! The food was amazing everyone’s dish came out perfect. We dropped a fork on the floor and they gave us another one without us having to ask. The staff goes above and beyond to make your experience delightful. Very professional I would highly recommend.
Ambiance service was great. I felt the food was ok nothing amazing. I added the lobster tail which seemed more than Caribbean lobster than a New England. Very small for $35 extra and was overcooked
Excellent food and service. Waiter was very attentive and knew the menu and wine list. Would recommend and go back.
Great time, great food, great service. My only issue was the menu saying a lobster tail for the listed price and it was only a half of tail. The manager acknowledged the issue and resolved it and took the item off. Service was great!
Oysters and crab cakes to start were amazing, steaks and veggies were cooked to perfection. So good
The food was terrific and the service was superb! Lucas and the rest of the staff were very attentive. Interesting drink menu and excellent wine list. One tiny complaint was the music was somewhat loud and offensive to me but didn't seem to bother my guests. Highly recommend!
nice place, great service, food was good but not great. Expensive.
We had varieties of steak, chicken under a brick, spicy broccolis and sautéed mushrooms. All were delightfully delicious. Popovers were perfect start to the meal, unique. Drinks were delicious and unique too. Spicy drink was quite something! Dessert is not to be missed, especially the peppercorn ice cream. Noise level and lighting was a little too loud and dark for me; and the table could have been bit larger. Got crowded with the plates easily. Service was excellent!
Great place, great service. Wagyu was terrible, needs to be changed
Celebrated my birthday with my daughter and son-in-law visiting from NYC. Was as nice as anywhere we visit there!
My wife and I are in Boston to see the Titian exhibit and decided to go Boston chops as nice dinner out since we had a little freedom this weekend. The red brick, quasi industrial decor with Edison bulbs in all the fixtures and low level modern music was hand a great ambiance.
The restaurant was full in the front inside but had two out door areas with heaters that were less full. While seating is a little close in the covid world inside the heaters do a great job for folks who were looking for more air between u and other guests.
The wait staff was thoughtful and attentive, and the noise level while a little loud want so bad that one couldn't hear the specials.
The lauded French onion soup, I found, to be a bit thin and needed more salt and pepper for my taste. My wife thought it had good flavor but agreed in the salt. The shrimp cocktail was 3 to four bite per shrimp (so very well sized). I was also enticed to the restaurant by the promise of "popovers" which I like to make at Christmas but never see on a menu. They were well cooked and made me wonder why more restaurants don't make them.
The steak dinners were excellent. The filet mignon was flavorful and tender. The New York strip was cooked to perfection.
The sides of sautéed mushrooms and horseradish mashed potatoes were excellent.
All in all a great upscale steak dinner.
One Note from the evening. I found myself at the end of the night having to make a stop in the lieu, maybe to much wine and water with dinner, at any rate I was interested in the provocative pictures in the mens lavatory of scantily clad women in an embrace. I mentioned this to my wife who In turn had to make use of the women's restroom. She reported to only find pictures of people having a good time. Is this sexist that men are provided provocateur and the ladies are not provided equal pictures of half naked males? Not a complaint, just observing. Probably the wine still making my mind go round.
For a place that is high scale, I was extremely disappointed to receive McDonald like french fries and bland arugula with my $50+ steak. The steak was not seasoned at all, but cooked to perfection. I understand the steak takes appx 30 minutes to prepare, but our waiter kept rushing us to put an order in. Overall, just an okay experience.
The tables are little to close together but other than that it was the best steak I’ve ever had.
It was our first time and it was sensational. Our waiter, Thomas made the entire evening enjoyable. We loved the food and the vibe. We will definitely be back.
Restaurant is very pricey but service and food were sub-par.
Thomas was awesome!
Fabulous steaks and service! Enjoyed the cocktails! Came here early before seeing a show in the theatre district and would recommend.
Wait staff was excellent! Prompt and polite. Great ambiance. Food was less than desirable. Caesar salad was a piece of cheese with four full leafs of lettuce and piece of toast ??really?? Filet portion was thin like a flank steak and over cooked. Strip steak had no char or flavor. Expected A LOT more for the hype and money.
Returning again!!! I miss the other location in downtown area but this one fine as will
The staff, food, and drinks at Boston Chops are always top notch and amazing. Love the ambiance and also a great value. This is my girlfriend’s and my favorite place for a nice date with a steak and a martini.
Great atmosphere and food was just excellent. Great service as well. A real find - we will definitely be back.
Fantastic. Food was on point. Service impeccable. Great for a date night out to a romantic start of the weekend.
