I daydream about the meals I've had at Boston Chops for weeks on end. Always top notch.
Always great. Best steaks in Boston.
I've been going to Boston Chops South End since they opened... it's the place for good occasions and to empress. Always good... best place to enjoy stake...
My girlfriend and I were out celebrating major life events and landed on Boston Chops. We decided to be seated at the bar since we both haven’t been able to have that experience since April. The seats were spaced out evenly with large plants in between which provided a feeling of privacy and a romantic ambiance. Our bartender provided excellent service and helped us pick a lovely wine. The chateaubriand was cooked to perfection with a delicious peppercorn sauce on the side and the mashed potatoes and pea shoots were delectable. I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. 5 Stars.
Great service, food was delicious and we can't wait to visit again.
Was one of the more disappointing experiences there. No more free popovers which I always look forward to, steak wasn’t well cooked, and the fries just come on the plate now, arugula salad was super salty. Some of it was changes due to covid protocols I’m sure but will think again before rushing back.
Another great celebration--a friend and I had yet another wonderful meal that was a bit of a splurge for us but completely worth it! The wine paired beautifully with our steaks, and the tuna tartare did not disappoint. Once again, the bartender and every other server I knew made me feel like I was one of their favorite uncles.
Had a great time at Boston Chops as always. This was our first time back since COVID and we felt comfortable with the tables spaced out and everyone wearing masks. The food never disappoints!
Great food, atmosphere and service!
Our server and the hostess was outstanding, the food was amazing wasn’t a huge fan of the fire and ice cocktail and parking was difficult, but other than that, no complaints
Love the restaurant, in these miserable times some of my favorites are not back on the menu yet but still a very good restaurant. Great waiters and excellent service. I would recommend it.
Our server was Melanie. She definitely was attentive but not excessively so. Her communication style was engaging and endearing. She was top notch.
The food speaks for itself. 👍🏼👍🏼
Out door dinning was very nice. Service and food very good. Try the popovers!
We ate outside - heat lamps made it very comfortable at 58 degrees. The service and the overall experience felt very safe.Food was truly delicious.
So happy that Boston Chops in the South End is back! We sat at the bar (our preferred seating prior to COVID) and were so happy to see the clever ways they were able to keep the same excellent and personal level of service with masks and social distancing. Use of large palm plants to separate patrons dining at the bar was delightful -- and added nicely to the club-like feel of the place. The menu has changed a bit, but our go-to favorites were there. The tuna, the frites, the excellent cuts of beef, the oysters and of course the popovers. Alas, they are no longer complimentary. But you can order as a side off the menu now. Hey, if I have to sacrifice a free popover in order for our neighborhood steakhouse to keep its doors open, it's a small price to pay! Thank you Boston Chops!!!
Sadly I don’t remember my servers name but she was fantastic! The food is always great but she is top notch really made it fun in the midst of these horrible times. Keep up the great work all around !
Service was horrible
Don’t think I would go back
Top end prices for bottom end service
We had a fantastic dinner. Boston Chops was very Covid safe. The food was good but our Server Kiko was GREAT!!!! He made our experience exceptional. We were there for a special occasion and he made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant.
Thus is our favorite steakhouse. So glad they’re open again. Never disappoints on food,, service or setting.
I visit Boston Chops often and each visit is top
Quality. Always look forward to next time I return
So happy to fine dine there
Food was amazing. Great menu selection. Cant wait to come back again! Service was great with plenty of space for social distancing.
We had reserved high top seating. It wasn’t available and we had to wait 1/2 hour to sit at a table inside in the doorway. The menu was limited- not as it used to be.
We dine there every time we are in Boston and it wasn’t the same. Guess this is our new reality. 😞
Food was metza-metza. They cook a steak really well, but lack seasoning. Shrimp overcooked. Sides were done well. Outdoor seating was awkwardly set up on the side walk. Other restaurants have more private seating.
The best food in town excelente service excellent time
Wonderful! Impeccable service. Outstanding food! ♥️
Service was awesome and was a great dinner spot to take a friend from out of town! Great atmosphere and food is always incredible.
Really enjoyed getting out to restaurant and appreciated the doors and windows and access to the outdoors were all open. They observed all the covid related guidance and the food was just as good as always. Some reduced menu items from pre-covid times, but the wine list was good and the food we had was excellently prepared.
Where do I begin? The portions have decreased in terms of food and wine, and the presentation is lackluster. They now charge for popovers and blamed it on COVID? Odd. They don’t seem to be trying very hard, and I won’t rush back at their price-point. There are many more options I’ll return to first.
My friend recommended this place to celebrate my birthday and it did not disappoint. The wine selection was incredible. My ribeye was cooked to perfection. All-round fantastic place. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a traditional steakhouse in Boston.
It was just ok
Expensive and flavorless filet mignon!
One of our favorite restaurants. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The filet mignon is tender and mouthwatering, the ribeye robust and flavorful, and the Pappardelle Bolognaise is the surprise of the menu considering Boston Chops is a steak house.
Always. Every. Single. Time. Perfection. Coming up on the special bottle offer, cherry on top! Thank you for your continued service and excellence. Service did not skip a beat even during these distant times. ❣️
Meal was excellent except that I am extremely skeptical that the portions advertised in the menu are the ones being served. I ordered the 20oz Chateaubriand ($99) and 2 half pound lobsters ($24 each) and the portion sizes were much smaller. The lobster looked more like a jumbo shrimp (definitely not half pound). When asked the waitress she said that the filet was the correct size and that the lobster was half of half pound and that she got complains from it all the times since it was misleading in the menu... the food was good but I cannot recommend this place because I didn’t feel they were honest about menu portions/sizes.
The staff were very pleasant and we loved the ambience. The food was absolutely delicious!
Loved the atmosphere. Really dark and nice for a dinner for 2. The food was very good steak was great well cooked proper flavor in the sides and appetizers. Will definitely come back.
Service was great and very safe. The food was five star!
Food was great, drinks were very expensive though for the sizes!
Great food, great service, and great ambience! Will def visit again
