Always a fabulous experience and never disappoints. I have always been here for dinner so brunch was a first time experience. Just as wonderful for brunch as it is for dinner. A great bloody mary and fantastic menu. My guests and I loved our server Tyler and enjoyed our time at Boston Chops! Can't wait for our next visit!
Amazing food and ambiance! Steaks melted in your mouth, so delicious. Even the croissants was amazing.
The food was great but the people (staff and customers) were even better! I will definitely recommend this place :)
It was kind of odd how the huge sides of arugula and generic French fries took up 75% of the plate. Would have expected something more classy for this kind of restaurant.
Was odd that it was set up as an ala cart steakhouse but had special entrees and a value section of sorts on the menu. Steak was fine, sides were good.
Slightly pricey but worth it! Everything we ordered was delicious and service was top notch.
Went for lunch/brunch after church. Food was great: avocado toast, eggs, wedge and steak salad. Jalapeño Bloody Mary and Fire and ice cocktails were great. Will go back.
The food is always excellent and if you have the privilege to have Brian wait on you Boston Chops will be one of the best dining experiences in the south end.
Enjoyed the food. Waiter was not very attentive but that may have been a one time thing. I would go again.
It’s was great! Staff friendly and polite was very helpfully describing the menu.
Alex our server was fantastic. The food was amazing and delicious.
We spent Thanksgiving dinner here and it was just amazing!!!
We are pretty regular visitors to Boston Chops, as it is a couple of blocks from our home and always consistently good. This year we decided to have Thanksgiving dinner there since it was just the two of us and we were leaving the next morning. The restaurant did not disappoint! From the warm service to the welcome glass of bubbly, and certainly to the great food (including easily accommodating one of us being gluten free), it was a special and festive holiday meal in the confident hands of experts. Boston Chops is not the fanciest nor the sexiest steak house in the city, but overall it remains the best.
They kept rushing us the whole dinner. They took the mussels appetizers even-though there ware couple left without asking.
That was the worst dining out Thanksgiving ever!
Delicious food, excellent service, good value
The food was wonderful, I mean if you love stake. We also tasted the beef tartar and spicy broccoli. Let’s just say the only thing I didn’t eat was the plate. Usually, I try to keep a fair and balanced review but I cannot say enough good things.
Melanie was an awesome server and the waitstaff paid close attention to my reservation notes to include a slice of chocolate cake for my sister’s birthday. The whole family enjoyed the dinner and we will definitely be back again soon! Thanks, Boston Chops!
It was a very enjoyable night. The staff was attentive and the food was excellent
A wonderful spot with equal parts fantastic food and attentive service. We'll be back for brunch soon!
Food was outstanding! Great portion sizes, very filling didn't have room for dessert! Staff was excellent!
Excellent meal for our Anniversary.. great service, great atmosphere
The onion soup was great, the filet and the salad were average while the fries were dry and Luke warm at best . Service was extremely inconsistent. Last time for us at Boston Chops .
Everything was delicilus as usual
My partner and I came here for our date night looking for a fine-dining experience in a more modern setting. Boston Chops South End definitely fit the description. I ordered the Filet Mignon and my partner ordered the Sunday Prime Rib Special. We shared the twice baked potato, pork belly macaroni and cheese, and oxtail croquettes. Our food was delicious and our server was friendly and attentive. There were a couple of young children at the table right next to ours which took away from the experience, but that is at no fault of the restaurant's. We would definitely recommend.
Out favorite restaurant - great food, super service and very nice special touches!!
Excellent as usual. Alessandro is an excellent server., he is professional and has a wonderful personality and manner.
The braised ribs were out of this world :) amazing place to go for date
Another awesome meal. The NY Strip steak frites never disappoints.
Oddly enough I was in the mood for fried chicken and not steak—and given that this is a steak house, they make a delicious fried chicken! Our waiter was great as was the rest of the service. He also was helpful with explaining various wines which was appreciated. Loved it!
Everything was great. For the price it better be. You will not leave hungry. Huge portions
Food took 1.5 hours to come out. We had to ask for bread after 45 minutes. Who the hell need to wait so long for food...Sunday night - it was half empty. Hard Pass.
Best Steak in Boston!
Extremely nice service.
If you want a great steak and a superb atmosphere this is the place for you!
The ambiance is great. It's a beautiful restaurant but I was expecting more of the food, particularly of the steaks. My hanger steak was not cooked as I had ordered it originally and it was chewy. The chimichurri sauce on the side did not have any flavor. The fries, the side bread and the wine were good but overall disappointed on the quality of my steak.
All around fantastic experience! We went for our one year anniversary and were treated with excellent food, drinks, and service. We can’t wait to go back. South End gem.
Excellent service and food & cocktails were amazing!
Terrific ambiance, very quiet tonight probably due to Patriots football game. Service was excellent with Craig...very attentive and not overbearing. Knew the menu very well..food was spectacular. Popovers to start, cesar salad w white anchovies. Entrees Bone in tenderloin wild mushrooms and bearnaise sauce with roasted asparagus, other 3 guests had 16oz prime rib special...cook was spot on medium rare on all. Sides of creamed spinach, roaster fingerling potato. French Onion Soup, wow. Grey Goose Cosmo experty made. Very quiet atmospher, romantic atmosphere. Creme Brulee and Sticky Toffee Pudding, outstanding finish to an amazing meal.
Went for a celebratory Sunday brunch with some girlfriends. Since we had a reservation we were seated promptly. The space itself is lovely, nice atmosphere. The food was excellent; we all had separate items from the brunch menu and were all very happy. The service, however, was just okay. Drinks took a long while to get, as did the food, though it wasn’t extremely busy. Overall a good experience and I’d return next time I’m in Boston!
Our server Bryan rocked. Attentive and provided excellent and authentic recommendations. Answered questions about the menu with the right amount of helpful and useful info. The other staff (who cleared the tables, brought fresh plates and utensils, and refilled our waters) were also excellent and efficient. Marcos was friendly and upbeat. Excellent “rarely appreciated” menu and steaks were done exactly as requested—they have a “doneness” description which they indeed follow.
Our weekly staple in our dining experience - if you come early it is reasonably quiet. The service is outstanding and the food is always top level - whether it is the signature steak frites or any of the specials.
There is a reason why a self-proclaimed foodie comes back very regularly. :-)
