Great food very tasty and the service was amazing, Bree was personable and genuine. We will go back for sure.
Surprisingly bland steak. Service and everything else was great!
This was a meal for clients of ours and I can only thank you for the impression you helped us make.
The place is great, you can have a conversation, the food and drinks were elegant and our server (Alex) was present, but not over-bearing.
Well done; we want to come back next year.
Chops is a really good steak house but they were out of my beef choice. I had to buy a much more expensive dinner in order to get a similar cut. Onion rings were amazing!!
I visited this restaurant during brunch for the first time. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great however the drinks and food were lack luster. I have no doubt that the restaurant is amazing during dinner time! I
Excellent brunches here.
The staff was very attentive and often checked on us. The noise level was high but we were seated close to the bar so not much to do.
Order wagyu 30oz steak medium Well and I got a medium rare. Also steak had no flavor no seasoning
Amazing time , our server was impeccable ❤️☺️Food was out of this world !!
As always - great food, incredible service. They really are great at making the special occasions special. The servers are all very knowledgeable and there recommendations are always on point.
Unlike other steak houses in the city which can seem a bit all the same, Boston Chops is a cut above, with unique twists on the menu that elevate it above all the others. If you haven't ever been here - book your reservations now!
A little too crowded, a lot of "pda" and quite 1loud for my taste. The food & drinks were decent but pricey for the portion sizes. I appreciated the popovers - that was a pleasant change from the average bread rolls at other places. The bone marrow was a delicious bite, literally. Dessert sizes were very small. The short rib itself was phenomenal.
Delicious food for a good price! Happy to have come
Love the experience wait staff was awesome and food was absolutely delicious! two words oxtail crochettes !!!
Food was delicious the steak was delicious tender well seasoned. The noise level was pretty high luckily for us there was great conversation going at other tables. Overall great stop for steak.
Food and service was great. Had some obnoxious diners at the two tables next to us that kind of dampened the nice atmosphere but otherwise it was a great experience.
As always outstanding! Love this place!
Need to learn how to make such tasty asparagus!
The wine that was recommended by our lovely waitress was delicious!
Thanks a lot!
We love Boston Chops for its atmosphere and great drinks and the food is good, but we wish they would offer some additions or nightly specials to their menu. Also, consistently we've noticed that some of the dishes (the fries, the salad dressing, the steaks) are over salted and we are big fans of salt and not sensitive to salt, but think this could be corrected. Otherwise, its always a great experience.
There were some high's and some low's. The service was superb. The dinner -- a chateaubriand for two -- was wonderful, but an awfully big portion, enough to take home for another dinner the following night. Very good, typical steakhouse sauces. excellent mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. An appetizer of ceviche was sent back -- the fish had gone bad, and apparently was not checked before serving. An excellent manhattan, and a very interesting -- if very expensive -- wine list. We will return when the next craving for steak strikes, but the portions are truly huge and it would have been nice to have had an 8 or 10 ounce strip steak that was grilled, for example, on the menu.
a bit more on the expensive side but it's a great place with really good food.
Food and ambience was good but the menu is overpriced for what it is. we originally went for Restaurant week but their restaurant week menu was not great so instead of spending $38 a person for our meal (minus alcohol), we spent about a hundred or so each as their restaurant week menu did NOT have sufficient choices.
I had high expectations given the reviews but didn’t experience this restaurant in the same way as others. The steak was mediocre - the fries were good and I liked how they continue to offer hot fries during the meal. Service was attentive but he wasn’t overly friendly - in fact a bit stand offish. I am not sure we would go back again.
This is one of the few great neighborhood steak restaurants. Service and food were excellent. My wife had steak (of course) but I had the fried chicken (exceptional). If you like chicken, get this! Wonderful sauce. I really like the ambiance, it's welcoming to all and the clients are from all age groups. if you can't get in here, try the sister restaurant (Boston Chops Downtown on Temple), same menu, same great food.
OMG! WOW! MEGA! etc, etc, etc...
Klare Empfehlung meinerseits!!
I loved this place and the food was outstanding. My only comment is the wine. The wine menu is wonderful, but hard to find a great wine value. Most were above $175.00 and that can really eat into one's budget when ordering more than one bottle. Yes, there were lower price wines, but not of great value. Will for sure be back and again Love Boston Chops and highly recommend it. Just would love to have a great bottle of wine too!
Crab cake was very little crab and mostly breading
Our waitress was the absolute best and the food was wonderful
Our favorite restaurant!! Superb dinner, as always!!
Kiko makes it happen. The food is great.
Food was very good. I had the short ribs. Great flavor, tender. The mash potatoes were excellent. However, for 42.00 the ratio of short ribs to sides was not equivalent to the price. Very little meat. For 42.00 the amount of short ribs I can buy and cook myself would been easily 4-5lbs worth. I got on my plate less than 1lb of short ribs.
The other issue we had in my group of six, was that they would not divide the ticket. For us it would have been only 4 separate tickets. The gratuity was not included, therefore I would suggest to ask upfront if you want your ticket divided. Our ticket came to $360ish and the waiter was expecting a higher tip. We all felt had he divided the ticket he would have made more than the 10% he got.
Overall, it’s a nice plan to go. The food in taste I give it a 8-10. I liked everything I ordered. Will I be back? YES. I will bring my husband, but I know the yay and nays of going there.
Boston Chops is our favorite restaurant in Boston- we eat here every time we are in Boston.
Nice date place, solid steaks and awesome wine list!
Although the food was good it was way overpriced for the quality. I paid $140 for a grisly tomahawk ribeye. I was not impressed.
Oue favorite steak house. Such a great vibe. Elements of tradition with maroon button tufted leather banquets and silver coat racks, but lighting and music make it so fun. Food is unbelievable. Never had anything we didn’t think was delicious. Service is excellent.
Food was great, but the service was OUTSTANDING! Just the right amount of delivery speed and personal touch.
It was our first time there and we were not disappointed. Everything was excellent .
The server was rude and undermining. When I asked about a wine she didn’t give any description other than it’s not good, get a different one. It would have been nice for her to offer a tasting but since it was the least expensive glass on the menu I assume she just wanted to up sell me. I could have marked it as a mistake if she was kind and attentive the rest of the meal however that was not the case. The food and the ambiance were very nice and it would have been a great experience had the waitress not ruined it.
Boston Chops was close to being great - but was just too inconsistent. The steakhouse atmosphere was nearly perfect, vibrant but intimate. The ceviche and crab cake apps were top notch. Braised short ribs was one of the best first three bites ever - the sauce tasted spectacular. But the (only) two ribs were extra fatty and tasted like they had been browned in bacon fat. Couple that with the bed of sour cream mashed potatoes and the thick sauce, and the dish was just too rich and fatty, especially when it began to cool. It needed something acidic to cut through. On the other hand, my companion's filet was said to be very tender and very good. Finally, we shared a pineapple cheeses cake that was...meh. Not much pineapple gelee flavor, and if there had been, it would have been overwhelmed totally by the sccop of super sweet, lemon sorbet that accompanied it.
Went for brunch on Sunday. Steak and eggs were completely dry and rough. Server had too many tables to even pay attention to our table and ask if we enjoyed our food. We ate it because we were hungry, but very disappointed in the meat. Another guest on our table ordered the chicken and it was great, but super super smalll. Overall disappointed
Really nice atmosphere, great service and great food.
Wonderful evening celebrating my sons birthday. Food and cocktails are always fabulous even to this non meat eater. There are plenty of other choices. Menu is pricey for regular visits, but well worth it for infrequent celebrations
