   The interior is beautiful. It was originally an old bank and the bank vault is still there to this day. We had Lauren B as our waitress and she was amazing. She recommended our wine bottle and entree. Everything was just a lovely experience. Will definitely be going back!

   A really cool ambience with a great cocktail and wine list. In addition to huge steaks there are many options for those who prefer a smaller but high quality cut of meat. Excellent service from real professionals.

   Had reservations for 6pm but arrived early for a drink at the bar. The bartender was welcoming and extremely informative. We decided to dine at the bar and enjoyed perfect martinis, pop overs, a filet, NY strip, brussel sprouts, and a warm skillet cookie to end it. Everything was cooked perfectly. Staff was seen but not heard and everyone worked well together. Great experience and will be back.

   So great to have this Boston Chops back on line after more than two years. No one has missed a beat. Each of three steaks prepared to the different preferences of the three diners. Everything that was supposed to be hot was hot and everything that was supposed to be cold was cold. Service was excellent but not overbearing. Will be returning regularly.

   Unfortunately this was not a good experience for me, however my fellow guests faired better. My Rib Eye which was supposed to be 14oz but certainly seemed much smaller, came out extremely over cooked. I sent it back and its replacement was raw. I ended up cancelling my meal which was disappointing and disruptive for the group

    The food is excellent and the wait staff bent over backwards to make smooth out the small issues we had during dinner. In all I wouldn’t hesitate to dine here again.

    We were big fans of Boston Chops Downtown before the pandemic having been a few times and so were crushed when they closed. To hear of the reopening we were beyond excited, and so last night prior to seeing a show we returned and wow, it's *better* than it used to be! The staff and management have just absolutely nailed this reopen--the restaurant looks incredible (the bull mural is A+) and staff are super polished and professional. The ambiance of the restaurant is just top notch. Food was excellent, our oysters had no shells and were chilled, steaks cooked perfectly to order, and the best was our incredible server Lauren B who provided a superb level of service that really set the night. Drinks were fantastic, our martinis were perfect (my husband said his extra dirty martini was the best he's had recently). And you can't forget about the fries. The French fries are still sensational and taste even better than McDonald's--if you don't order the fries you are really missing out, get them! We didn't grab dessert (the Espresso Martinis were extra yummy) but that warm chocolate cake is mine next time. Overall it was a grand slam night that we really enjoyed, thank you Boston Chops Downtown and congratulations on the reopening.

    I was thrilled that Boston Chops Downtown reopened after being closed for a couple of years. It is truly one of my favorite placed to eat before the theater. We were very happy to have Vinny as our waiter. He made our dinner very enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. I would certainly request him in the future. All the staff greeted us and bid us farewell. The food is amazing. The atmosphere very relaxing and quiet. Can't wait to go back!!!

    Boston Chops Downtown Crossing is BACK! The dining room is beautiful, the staff is amazing and the food was delicious. We have so missed this place, and are so happy to have a neighborhood gem back!

    Excellent experience! Vinny was the epitome of professional! I inquired about the the onion rings but decided against them but Vinny offered a half order s of course I had to try them. Without doubt the best onion rings I’ve ever had. In that was just for starters. All the food was prepared perfectly and presented beautifully. While not inexpensive, it was all well worth it

    It's quite pricey. I ordered the prime rib and no side was included. I had to pay extra for a side. Everything should be included with atleast one side. Especially for the price you charge. And you all charge for bread and that's not cool. Otherwise than that we enjoyed our dinner.

    It was really great to see the restaurant open again, and to have the opportunity to enjoy an excellent steak. Superbly cooked and delicious. Certainly one of the best that Boston has to offer. The oxtail appetizer was also especially delicious. Don't forget the specialty drinks. The take on the greyhound with passion fruit juice was really a show stopper.

    What an amazing experience we had through the Dine Out Boston/Restuatant Week. It was one of the best meals that we had in a very long time. While this restaurant may not be normally in my price range, I cannot wait to go back again.

    The service was outstanding and the food was terrific. Two things to work on though; three different 'managers' stopped by our table to check on things and that was a bit much. The other was that although the fried fish sandwich was tasty, it was sorely lacking in fish. Plenty of fried coating, just barely any fish. We will definitely be back.

    Another great experience at this Boston Chops location! Tuna tartar was great, sweatbreads and braised short ribs were exceptional! The service and the atmosphere were very nice as usual. Will be going back soon.

    Took my husband for his birthday dinner after the Celtics game. Although it was late and we were the last table seated our waitress was wonderful. She surprised us with glasses of champagne (I had told the restaurant it was my husband's birthday when I booked the reservation). The meal was paced perfectly, even though it was late, and the food was excellent. Really had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

    We came here for Restaurant Week and thought the food (spring green, oxtail croquettes, steak frites, toffee pudding, le délice) and wine were great. Their normal menu is a bit on the pricier side, but based on our experience, we'd come back.

    Went for Restaurant Week lunch and the kitchen was incredibly backed up - over a half hour between appetizers and entrees. The steaks were cooked perfectly to order though and the different steak sauce options were all great.

    A bit hectic, especially since waiters have to climb quite a few stairs to bring food up from the basement kitchen. Beautiful decor in refurbished old bank building. The food is very good, but not great for the price. But, of all things for a steak house, the mussels are outstanding, as are the complimentary popovers. French fries are just so-so. Service is friendly and professional. No valet parking for lunch and the nearby lots are expensive. (Try finding a spot on the street. Good luck.)
