Awesome service, creative cocktails, diverse and delicious food options! We were in the mood to chat with our table neighbors this evening but the two-tops are pretty close together if you don't want others to overhear your conversation :)
Not going backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Great service. The tasting menu and wine pairing for their Valentine's Day was spot on. Complex mixture of flavors and textures of the dishes created an exciting dinning experience.
I have a tree nut allergy and was not very impressed with how they addressed. I kept having to remind different people that brought food to our table. The food was yummy but almost too fancy, we thought.
Our server Zaq was great! It was our Anniversary and our first night out in a long time since we have a 2 year old. He took really good care of us and started the dinner off with a little surprise for our anniversary. The food quality was wonderful and the portions were just right. I did feel like the salt cod was pretty bland so I would try something different next time for the second course. My husband loved the tartar, octopus and the Smore dessert. Overall a wonderful night out for some first time guests!
Stopped in for brunch. Found ala carte menu of breakfast type items. Food came out slightly warm not hot. Flavors just weren’t present. Everything we ordered was like this except fot the side of hash browns. They were in a puddle of grease on a plate. Obviously not drained of grease from griddle.would not visit again or recommend to anyone
Food was fabulous!! The chief made unusual combinations of flavors that were awesome!! We totally enjoyed our first experience to Borough!!
I would be more inclined to recommend this restaurant if you are in a party of 3 or more. The seating for 2 is terrible, unless you don't mind sitting extremely close to neighbors and hearing their conversations. The tables are so close that the server is forced to turn sideways and shuffle step in between them. Other than that, the food was outstanding (a little overpriced) and the service was good. The seating just completely ruined the experience for us.
Fabulous experience- fun atmosphere, great service & amazing food.
Celebrated my friends birthday here and it was fantastic! Didn’t feel rushed, they gave her an amazing birthday treat and the food was phenomenal! Little speedy, but all around worth it!
As always, tremendous experience! Food was fantastic, my client was MIGHTILY impressed
Borough is definitely a new addition to my list of favorites. The food and service were both excellent -- beef tartare, octopus, pork belly, trout, burrata, brussel sprouts, and scallops were all fantastic. Great wine list too. Can't wait to go back.
Borough has become one of our favorite restaurants - for both dinner and Sunday brunch. The dishes are unique, beautiful, delicious and prepared with the utmost care. Even things I'm not sure I'd like, end up being fabulous. Haven't yet found something I didn't like. My husband and I like to order a variety of small plates and share them. Borough is perfect for this. Highly recommend it.
It was good, cocktails were absolutely fabulous!! Super disappointed that our waitress would not serve us the parlour burger. The last several times we’ve come we were able to order it. Last night it suddenly wasn’t an option. Exceptionally disappointing.
Great happy hour prices!! Bar wasnt too loud and had nice atmosphere. Great for a girls night out! Especially loved the lamb meatballs!
We went to celebrate our anniversary, the service was fine, nothing special. The menu was limited but the food was good except the desert which was very disappointing. Probably will not go there for a special occasion again since there was no acknowledgement.
The specialty drinks are terrific. Each course of the meal was a delight. The beef tartare was sublime, the quail was tender and the pilaf it rested on was a complex mix of flavors all in perfect harmony. The highlight was the lamb meatballs; they were incredible. The entrees we had, the beef and the scallops, were wonderfully prepared. The meals are expensive but for a special occasion the food is fantastic. A slight complaint: the lighting is very dim.
Casual but classy North Loop spot, quiet but not stuffy so great for conversation. Food was amazing. Octopus was unique and tasty and fun. Squash soup was a thing of wonder it was so good. Love the atmosphere, love the food. Staff was terrific as well. A great place for a not-too-stuffy but still classy and hip dinner out.
Loved the ambiance and decor. Most of it is reused materials in interesting way. Railroad ties on the walls, cheese graters as light fixtures. I loved the personal coffee cups as well. Food was delicious and at a reasonable price.
Loved the atmosphere and the staff, so friendly and helpful. Food was great if not a little adventurous for me. I’m glad I ate the waiter recommended octopus; I would’ve never done so otherwise and it was great. I would definitely come back.
You helped make our 10th wedding anniversary awesome! Thank you!
Very nice cocktails, good pasta, the burrata was beautiful but a bit too much melon in the accompaniment for my taste. i prefer mine with savories. But if you like the mix of sweet and rich, go for it.
Terrible food, slow service. Out of Jameson.
Took too long to get food. 3 hour experience! Too long!
Food was Awesome. Service was on point. Beautiful urban rustic vibe. My only negative about this place is the seating. They had separate tables, but 1/2 the place was long bench/booth style on one side and a chair on the other. I hate this style, cause they always seat someone right next to you.. I feel like we are sitting at the same table- and the conversation is no longer private. It's like our table for 2 just went to a table of 4 and I don't know the other two dinner guests. I like more private seating options.
Borough always delivers a great time. The ambiance is understatedly rich; the dinner was excellent with subtle and outstanding preparation and they delivered excellence on every level. Of course I’d come back again and again.
We enjoyed two first courses and two second courses, which filled us up. I suggest arriving very hungry and allowing for plenty of time to enjoy the variety of flavors they offer. You must order the brussel sprouts and the octopus.
We unfortunately were on a bit of a time crunch due to the weather but the staff was very accommodating, recommending items that would work for us. The food was excellent, the staff was very attentive and the atmosphere was great. Can’t wait to come back!
First and second courses were terrific with nice presentation. Both our main different were over salted
