Food was great but service was extremely slow. We had reservations at 7:30 and didn't get done until 9:30. And we didn't even have dessert. The good news is that the manager gave us our main courses for free.
Havent been. Was pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere and decor. Server was good.. attentive but not in our face. He KNEW his stuff about the food. Timing of dishes was fairly good. Presentation great and food was very very good... highly recommend!
The smoked chicken dish was OUTSTANDING!!
One of our favorite restaurants, and there are only a few at this level! Borough/Parlor do not dissapoint.
Juicy melt in your mouth goodness with some crispy salt flavor on the outside on a toasted egg bun
Also a good green salad a tasty complementary side to the burger
I was recommended The Borough for my Birthday so we thought we would give it a shot, and it was a hit! We had awesome customer service, and the food was amazing! Our waitress gave us wonderful recommendations for drinks, dinner, and dessert and all of them were fantastic options! I would definitely come back, and I would for sure recommend to a friend!
Fantastic food, a great spot for a date night. Menu is expensive but it is all very shareable so you can try to limit the expense that way. My husband and I split our first course, second course and entree and there was plenty of food. Great presentation and everything was delicious.
Pretty good food, but small portions for the price. Went for a birthday. Enjoyed our pre-dinner drinks and burger at Parlor more.
Borough was amazing!! Can’t say enough good things about both the service and the food. The plates were not too big which was nice so we could order multiple different things to try without feeling stuffed. Our server was excellent and was raving about their octopus dish...we NEVER eat or order octopus but since he talked so highly of it we decided to give it a try- and we loved it!! We will be back!
Our Easter brunch was all we expected and more. Thanks for a great meal, good service and drink.
Food and presentation was amazing. We went for brunch, ordered 6 or 7 main dishes and shared them all. Highly recommend the scrambled eggs with crab on toast, smoked salmon salad, gnocchi, and of course, their amazing pancakes!
Borough has become one of our top 3 go-to restaurants in the twin cities.
Birthday dinner. Drinks and food were really great!
The server was very nice and very friendly but she was extremely slow at getting back to the table. We had to wave her down anytime we wanted to order something or needed something.
The handle on my friends coffee mug broke right off and coffee spilled all over him. No one at the restaurant even apologized or offered to cover the cost of dry cleaning. I was shocked by how unapologetic the staff was given the situation. The food was great though.
Great atmosphere and food! You can’t go wrong with the burger and fries - even for brunch. The fresh pastries are also amazing! Don’t skip the craft cocktails either, the brunch bellini was fantastic. The bar is beautiful with a ton of character, charm, and super classy. Tons of light in the dining room from the large windows.
We dined early at Borough prior to a Saturday evening concert and overall it was a good experience. The food is really excellent - tasty and attractively presented. The scallops and salmon were perfectly cooked and our friends enjoyed the quail and octopus small plates. The restaurant got very busy about an hour after we arrived and our server was not able to be as attentive as she was initially. Also, one component of the order, the roasted brussel sprouts were omitted and we had to remind our server they had not been delivered. Also the noise level increased dramatically which detracts from being able to enjoy conversation. Borough is one of my favorite restaurants and I will likely return but on a week night when it might be quieter.
Borough's is FABULOUS and I don't understand why it doesn't receive more press. Everything we had was fabulous... the octopus, the scallops, the beet pate, the squash soup, the bread plate, and one other dish. The green salad was a bit tart but everything else was out of this world! Really. And I'm not one to be easily pleased. I will return here!!!
We love Borough's attention to dining. This super-power team consistently curates a creative, delicious, and outstanding dining journey. Dishes are built to share... or for those who prefer to "fork it alone"... to enjoy completely by oneself. Our fresh salad and salmon toasts tasted as if they were fresh plucked from land and sea... the lamb meatballs with harissa tahini/cumin are not to be denied ... the brussels spring to life with fig and mustard. For entrees...the salmon with fennel cream is as inventive as tasty, and the scallops on a bed of deep wine risotto prepared to perfection. Borough's wine list is smartly crafted for the casual as well as discerning wine lover. Craft cocktails are vigorously delightful. The restaurant setting is architecturally inspiring, its a visually beautiful space. And last but not least, one feels like a treasured guest at Borough - the hosting/ service team is talented, knowledgeable and professionally en pointe. Our server, Zachary brought our birthday dinner into a new dimension that can only be described as a luxury experience. Dine at Borough early or late but dine often! They deserve every accolade possible.
Borough continues to exceed our expectations. Our meal and service was extraordinary. This is one of our favorite places to dine.
My parents were in town and we wanted to have a nice family dinner at an upscale restaurant without breaking the bank. I’ve had drinks and dessert here before and eaten at Parlour, but had not tried the food at Borough.
The food was incredible. It was very delicious and the portions were not too small as happens sometimes at these types of restaurants. I have left Spoon and Stable feeling hungry and am a small person. Between five of us we ordered four first/seconds to share, individual entrees, and two desserts to share. The food selection rotates, but the sorbets are always sublime. I think this will be my go-to higher end restaurant for a nice night out from now on.
The ambience and service were great as well. We got there earlier in the evening and it was pretty empty, but it filled up quickly as the night went on but our server remained very attentive and it wasn’t overly crowders or noisy.
Great service!!! So good with allergies!
thank you doran excellent experience! food and service was on point
Borough’s menu offers unique items and everyone that I have tried is delectable!
Met friends on. Saturday night. We were seated right at the time of our reservation. Our server was very friendly and she offered her honest opinion when asked by our group which I appreciate. Not everything on a menu can be fabulous. A bit noisy but that is to be expected on a Saturday night. Good time.
The people are very friendly. Amazing food for the price. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. The server comped both of our desserts. We go out alot to fine dining like Burroughs and we've never been comped on both desserts. The place and staff are amazing!!!!!
One of my favorite dining experiences in recent memory, and absolutely the best meal I’ve had in the Twin Cities. Extraordinarily good, we’ll definitely be back.
First, the handcrafted drinks are unique and AMAZING. We sat at the bar prior to dinner; this decision allowed us to see a few handcrafted drinks and the 3 we ordered (not 3 each, 3 total) made the experience 100 times better. The cosmo's were perfect too. We shared the brussels sprouts as an appetizer (yum!), then the scallops and flat iron beef for our meals. The scallops were disappointing, they were crunchy. The flat iron beef (cooked to medium) was AMAZING, I wanted a 2nd plate!!! Maybe it was an off day for the scallops, but at this time I wouldn't get them again...because we will go back without question. The restaurant is very open, making it a louder experience, you sit closely to people next to you unless you have a a group larger than 2 (I didn't feel too crowded but you are close), and the lighting is a little darker. You can also eat at the bar without feeling cramped.
we were driving in Fargo on Thursday evening. we called a friend for a evening restaurant. he recommended Borough. we had never been to the restaurant before. we ere very elated at the serving plates. the taste of the meal were exceptional. we will be back next time we are in town. hopefully we will bring friends to enjoy this great experience.
Excellent, cheerful service. Outstanding menu. Thank you for a great evening meal.
The food was amazing, great taste pairings! The service was slow and distracted, possibly to many large tables for one server. Friendly but not attentive.
Always love everything about Borough. Fantastic every time!
The food was amazing, the staff was phenomenal. Parking can be a little bit of an issue if you self park, but there is an inexpensive valet option as well. Highly recommend, and will definitely go back!
When we arrived the restaurant had only a handful of patrons. The hostess suggested we sit at a tiny table by the kitchen instead of nice table by the window. This is the second time this has happened. We asked and were seated at a better table. Half the tables stayed empty during our hour and half stay. Honestly who are they saving these tables for. It's amazing food but a little too uptight for us.
Everything was absolutely great. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars was because the dessert was mediocre.
Fantastic food, service, and ambiance. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Go and just enjoy!
Awesome service, creative cocktails, diverse and delicious food options! We were in the mood to chat with our table neighbors this evening but the two-tops are pretty close together if you don't want others to overhear your conversation :)
Not going backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Great service. The tasting menu and wine pairing for their Valentine's Day was spot on. Complex mixture of flavors and textures of the dishes created an exciting dinning experience.
I have a tree nut allergy and was not very impressed with how they addressed. I kept having to remind different people that brought food to our table. The food was yummy but almost too fancy, we thought.
Our server Zaq was great! It was our Anniversary and our first night out in a long time since we have a 2 year old. He took really good care of us and started the dinner off with a little surprise for our anniversary. The food quality was wonderful and the portions were just right. I did feel like the salt cod was pretty bland so I would try something different next time for the second course. My husband loved the tartar, octopus and the Smore dessert. Overall a wonderful night out for some first time guests!
