The 1920s/1930s concept was refreshing. Restaurants aura and ambience, amazing. Meal was delightful. Nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Highly suggest.
Excellent as always. We travel to San Diego from Houston to visit our son and his family, and this has been a regular stop on our agenda. We are hopeful the current crisis passes quickly so this fine establishment can resume business as usual.
Great decor , great ambiance. A little expensive but worth it for a special occasion. Suggest you sit on the upper deck

Month of March is the perfect month to dine at the BAR for a double birthday celebration for my husband and I.
As soon as we entered the restaurant we were welcomed by the hostesses and brought to our table in less than five minutes. Not sure if this was the norm on a Friday but we’re not complaining! Our server, Bogdan greeted us right away and was professional and helpful with our order and very friendly. Gave us free champagne and even cider for our 10 yo child. Food was delicious and drinks were good, had the Japanese wagyu (very tasty wished we ordered more) dry aged t-bone, cauliflower, mushroom fricassee, potato purée and bread w/ butter. For drinks, pisco punch, mamie taylor and a mocktail.
Super satisfied with no room for dessert and still gave us a bag in it was two macaroons.
Oh also, one of the hostess took our curious daughter for a glimpse of the kitchen. She was amazed.

Fabulous service and venue. The tableside Steak Diane was magically delicious.
My 3rd time there, always fantastic. Celebrated a birthday this time and they added several touches to make the evening celebration extra special.
Took my boyfriend for his birthday. Had the rib eye, Mac n’ cheese, dirty hash browns and a couple cocktails which were all phenomenal. Great ambiance, staff, food and beverages! Would return for another special occasion.

This restaurant lives up to the hype of its name completely. I would recommend anyone planning a more expensive dinner option to go to Born and Raised.
This was a great restaurant from beginning to end. Roberto was our waiter who did an outstanding job!! We started off ordering the bread, delicious! Then I enjoyed the potato leek soup with lobster, mussels and scallops as my appetizer, delicious! Next I had the filet mignon cooked to precision and a side of squash, beets and arugula. Our other side was an incredible mac and cheese with Panko bread crumbs, cheesy and to die for!! Our party consisted of 3 other people who ordered entrees of steak Oscar, filet mignon, and a dry aged bone in New York strip. The gentleman who had the NY strip said it was "the best steak he ever had". For dessert we had one order of the NY cheesecake which was incredibly tasty and unexpectedly light. We also ordered the homemade ice cream made with nitro, what a show stopper!!! This was very creamy and a brilliant and memorable production! Having spent many years in the restaurant and hotel industry and working at some of the finest restaurants in the United States, head waiter Ritz Carlton Hotel for 13 years, Wally's Desert Turtle, Mamma Gina's, Ruth Chris and LG's Prime Steakhouse, I would have to rank this restaurant in my top 3 so far. If you come to San Diego and want to check out Little Italy, this dining establishment is a must do!!! Outstanding job Born & Raised, I'll be back, THANK YOU
It felt like I was in the Great Gatsby. We sat near the chefs and butcher and loved every experience of it.
The food is pricey, but worth it. I love the ambiance of the restaurant and the service is always excellent. This place is great for both romantic dinners and night's out with girlfriends. They're also super accommodating to any dietary restrictions that you might have. Thank you, Danielle for such a great experience!
The tomahawk and bone in ribeye were amazingly delicious! I recommend the dirty hash browns, mashed potatoes and mushrooms as a side. For dessert, the cheesecake was my favorite. Roberto, our server, was great! Make reservations at least a month ahead to get a good time slot.

Born&Raised always has exceptional service and offers the finest quality dining experience. My most recent time there was especially outstanding. Amy was the most fantastic server with great menu recommendations and even offered an extra sherry luge which was a fun new experience for my girlfriend and mine’s anniversary. We got there when they opened so it was nice and quiet but even by the time we left and it got busier, it wasn’t loud at all like some restaurants get. I can’t wait to come back again and try even more of their wonderful food and drink options.
