   I have dinned at BORN AND bread several times. My wife and I were slightly late. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. It was Friday evening. Looks like it was nice business going on anyway food was very good. I had the simple pasta Bolognese and Caesar. My wife enjoyed hers too. I’m going back.

   This is the worst and most bizarre dining experience that I have ever had. Let me start by saying, when this place bombs it will not be because of the food but because of the service! We ordered our meal and the waitress told us they had just served the last pork tenderloin dish and were out (at 6pm on a Friday night). We then ordered the short rib and asked for the same vegetables but they could only bring the mash potatoes. I asked if we could get a side of Brussels sprouts with it and the waitress said yes. I, apparently misunderstood and she was actually bringing a whole appetizer order with it. She then proceeded to bring the meal out in stages. Two of us were served and then one more entree came out a bit later, and then the last entree came after the 1st two were almost finished with their dinner. As the waitress set the plate down she said it did not look pretty enough and she had to have them remake it. When the bill came, I noticed that I was charged $15.00 for the Brussels sprouts appetizer and asked to have her speak to the manager because that is not what I thought the order should have been. All of this was bizarre up to this point, but NOTHING prepared me for the manager’s attitude and demeanor!! She was rude, condescending and wasn’t going to even empathize with our situation. We were wrong from the get go. She told us Brussels sprouts are way more expensive than carrots and they would never serve it as a side. She did say she would take $7.00 off the bill which she never did! She also said the pork tenderloin my niece had ordered has been off the menu for two weeks and they don’t serve it anymore, even though my niece had been told they just served the last one. Not the same story, so someone was lying! I worked in restaurants for many years and would never have treated a customer with such a rude attitude. This manager is not good for your business. This was not an inexpensive bill and I will not be returning here.

   Excellent Cosmo and draft beer choices. Their burger is amazing, the bolognese delicious and the Caesar wrap is huge. The servers and bartenders have always been friendly and knowledgeable. Love having this neighborhood place!

   Stopped by for both brunch and dinner on the same day because this place is so good. Food was phenomenal and the staff was a delight. Would recommend for any occasion!

   Had a terrific meal all around! We enjoyed each dish including the burrata, shrimp pasta, and the pretzel bread pudding. Great dessert drink in The Newcomer! Our waiter and staff were so pleasant and loved being able to sit outside. Highly recommend.

   Great find in Scottsdale! I highly recommend the pizza, one of the best we’ve had here in AZ. Pasta, burgers, meatballs were all delicious! Service was excellent, our server gave great recommendations. Don’t skip dessert, the pretzel bread pudding will not disappoint! We will be back!

   We went on a Sunday afternoon. There was only us and one other table. The service was attentive, but the food was just so-so, unfortunately. I had the grass fed burger with no cheese. Why would you serve grass fed meat and pair it with ultra processed Velveeta cheese? Seems kind of defeating if you want it to be a bit cleaner. My son got a pepperoni pizza. It was super soggy. My husband got the pork bolognese. Definetly not an Italian making it. Very acidic. I think the place is known more so for drinking than food. Just my opinion.

   Service sucked. Waitress failed to mention the croissant sandwich wasn’t going to have a croissant because they didn’t have them that day and just served sandwiches on focaccia bread. Chiliquiles were sloppy wet with grease and this place is very overpriced for what you get. Very disappointing for what I thought we were going to get.

    Our server was awesome. We asked for dinner recommendations on the pizza and pasta and both were great! The bolognese was rich and flavorful. I wouldn’t recommend the fries. I could be wrong but the texture of them felt/tasted like reheated fries. We only ordered them to try the aioli sauce that came with, which was pretty good.
