Very good local fare. Waitress was very accommodating. As we were from out of town she explained the local traditions and not only what the food was but what the food tasted like! Would definitely return

Each dish was amazing. The appetizers, especially the mushrooms, were delicious. The “fish in a bag” was perfectly cooked and seasoned with perfectly cooked vegetables. Delightful. I️ ordered three desserts for the 8 of us and they were each perfect. The key lime pie was some of the best ever. And the peanut butter was perfect for sharing.
Our service and wait staff were excellent. The entire evening, including atmosphere and especially the spacious seating, was great after a busy day.
Definitely going back before we leave New Orleans!

The food was good, but only that. I will say that the Spanish meat pies we had as an appetizer were very good. The elephant in the room was the noise. You could not carry on a conversation without shouting.

I usually don't eat at the restaurant in the hotel, but I was too tired to go out. I am glad I tried it. Good food and service. The bartender made my special martini perfectly. Oysters were super fresh. Gumbo was excellent.

Love Borgne, pecan crusted drum is my favorite. Will go back during Jazz Fest for the crawfish bread. Very good food and reasonable prices with excellent service.

We ate at Borgne relatively early on a Friday evening. The restaurant was about half-full. It was moderately loud; had it been full I think it would have been very loud. The food was very good but a bit overpriced in my view, especially the seafood appetizers - portions were small but expensive. The entrees were delicious all-around; we especially liked the fish (sheepshead) in a bag. One of our party had gluten sensitivity issues and they accommodated that easily with modifications that were every bit as yummy. Would definitely go again.

My husband and I were staying at the Hyatt and Borgne had been recommended to us as a good restaurant. Our servers were great. But when we got our appetizer of shrimp and raw oysters, our shrimp was inedible. The servers were great and offered us some options but we decided to cancel the shrimp order. My angel hair pasta with crab was delicious! My husband's fried seafood platter was only so-so. The coating was bland and not very tasty. We did get a complimentary dessert which we enjoyed very much. I was a bit disappointed after hearing such a good review of this restaurant.

We were surprised it was in a hotel-we missed that while looking for a place to eat. It was a beautiful restaurant, but was a bit loud. Our server was so nice and attentive and the food was delicious! Especially the shrimp toast and stuffed flounder.

Overall, it was a great experience. Walked in, shortly after 7 pm. There were only a few tables seated at the time. We were greeted promptly by the staff, who were extremely attentive the entire evening. With the restaurant being a little slower at the time, the food arrived promptly, hot from the kitchen. We didn’t have a bad bite, from the “duck poppers”, gumbo and cauliflower soups, to the special of the day, sheepshead. It’s with the trip! Oh yeah, cocktails weren’t bad either.

We are staying in the Hyatt Regency and didn’t want to venture far. Borgne had good reviews so we decided to eat there. The food was good, very rich and flavorful. The service was good also. We didn’t feel that it was too pricey, considering it’s located in a hotel.

Really enjoyed our time here. Drinks were good. It was a lively atmosphere of all age ranges. (Mostly going to Bruno Mars) And the food was great. We shared 3 appetizers and all of them were excellent. Our server did an amazing job too!! Hate I forgot her name.

Food was excellent. More casual than expected. You’ll leave reassured of your dining selection. Great place to eat before the game or show at the Superdome or Smoothie King Center. Try the tapas or anything with shrimp. They get the basics perfect. As I surveyed the other diners, everything looked delicious and unique. No one standout dish here. It’s all good.

The only negative for me was the ambiance. It didn’t seem to represent the food appropriately. Tables, seating, and flooring were boring.

We showed up for our reservation and were told by the hostess that because there was a concert last night we needed to eat fast as there were other people that needed to come in. We thought that was odd. Our waiter on the other hand laughed that off and was more then gracious. We had a good meal and left a hefty tip. I later received an email from Open Table saying we skipped out on our reservation which was not true. I can tell you where we sat, what we are and in fact at 6 we attended the party in the private room.

Server was attentive and knowledgeable. Spicy Bloody Mary, delicious.
Both Raw & fire roasted oysters were fabulous. Duck & Anduille gumbo, outstanding. Fried oysters were not quite as crispy as I prefer but still good with the romulaude sauce.

2nd time going before a Saints Home game. 1st time no reservations and had to stand at the bar to eat but since only apps and drinks it worked. Perfect location near the Superdome & city. Shrimp toast nice and crispy with a delish sauce on top for dipping if desired. 2nd visit we made 9:30am reserv. Great table, good cowd, great energy & barley a hint of fun music in background that, for me, could have been a little louder! We split the breakfast sandwich - eggs, sausage on french with a side order of thin crunchy french fries. Waiter friendly, knowledgable and the silverware shiny clean - important for us OCD people! If you’re staying in the Hyatt or just in the area-
Borgne is a definite!

Well executed dishes and knowledgeable staff. Try the turkey necks...really. Excellent seafood as expected.

Only complaint is that communication could have been better from wait staff. We asked for multiple things twice but that might be because my party is impatient and not accustomed to a southern pace.

Wow, what a disappointment this was. We were staying across the street from Luke and had such wonderful experiences that we couldn't wait to try Borgne. It was terrible. The atmosphere is cafeteria like. I could get past that if the food and service had been good. Nope. We had a variety of things, chopped salad, and grilled Romaine. The person who delivered the food ( not our server) gave the wrong dish to the wrong people. When I questioned that the grilled romaine didn't look like a chopped salad I got a rather curt reply. Upon reflection or discussion the person returned picked the dishes up from the people who they had placed in front of and exchanged them. No apology or explanation. the fish in the bag was the most successful entree. the burger (sent fries back they were cold), Pirogue (not fresh and appetizing) and Stuffed Flounder (lot's of bones) were all met with two thumbs down. For this kind of money they need to do better. I say skip this place and go to Luke!

Everything about Borgne was perfect. I'm particularly critical when I go out to eat but this was the most perfect meal I've had outside of Commander's Palace. Our waitress Katie was knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. She recommended a killer wine which fit what I asked for perfectly. Request her when you go! She will take such great care of you. All of the food was great. It was fresh, flavorful, and so very delicious. Good portions and good prices. The timing of the food was excellent. Not too quickly but we never felt like we were waiting on anything. And the restaurant wasn't cold or too noisy. This is a big deal because lots of restaurants, especially in New Orleans, blast the AC which is awful. Like everything could be wonderful but you're too miserably cold to enjoy anything. This was not the case here. It was the perfect temperature and the perfect noise level. I can't wait to come back. This is the first time I've ever feel in love with a restaurant.
