   Really lovely meal, staff very helpful in catering for allergy and making wine recommendations. I have recommended this restaurant to friends already

   food was quite good. atmosphere lacking. decor could be a lot better. Poor wine list with no real options for fine wine which is surprising in bowman - if I wanted to spend a lot on a nice wine, I did nit have that option - bit disappointed

   Borage had been recommended to me by a friend so, while I found the outside of the building to be uninviting I took it on trust. We were seated upstairs, which was warm with enough room between the tables so that you didn't overhear your neighbours conversations. The food was a delight and I loved every morsel We had the chicken liver pate and the potato velout, followed by monkfish and Poussin and cleaned out plates. The staff are lovely and the service is just right. All in all a real find and we will be back. Thank you :)

   Great addition to Hale, Bowdon area. Really lovely meal. Fantastic cod and scampi chowder starter. Can't wait to eat that again. Good value. Really hope that Borage is a success. The best meal we've had for ages in the area and better than anything in Hale Village.

   As always, we enjoyed our dinner at Borage. My wife says the beef was outstanding - she doesn;t know how they do it so well every time - while I thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom wellington. It's about our 4th or 5th time there, and I am sure we will be there another 10 or 20 times before the end of 2018. I don't know a better restaurant in Manchester.

    Another lovely evening at Borage with friends. My starter of scallops was delicious, but all the food was very good.
