The Boqueria Experience is definitely one of the most decadent meals I've had this year. Not just tapas, but delicious mains and scrumptious dessert too! Also, the rosé sangria pitcher was perfect for our little group of 4.
My favorite location of Boqueria! Will definitely dine again and recommend to friends!
Walking in from the hotel lobby, it was an elegant, modern feel, with plenty of seating and a big open bar at the center and front of the restaurant. The tables felt a bit close to each other; not noticeable when first seated, but as it filled up for the brunch, we squeezed together and the volume rose quickly. The food was fantastic! Great selections, and plenty to fill you up! A few of the dishes were on the crisp side, but the flavor was still present. The drinks flowed readily; however, sometimes the same drink did not seem to be prepared with same ratio of wine to liquor. (Too much tequila to wine). Overall, I would definitely repeat the experience.
Food was very average
The waiter recommended 4-5 tapas for two people to share, and it was the perfect amount. The timing of the delivery of the food was good, and everything was delicious.
Always on lookout for restaurant in midtown west. Pretty and lively and friendly. We happily took advice from adjoining tables and our wonderful server. So many dishes to choose...so little time. Will be back--perfect before theater spot.
Good food somewhat away from the hellscape that is Times Square/Penn Station areas.
Very good food, service was fairly good, we did get an odd table in the corner for so late at night. Otherwise great experience
I was very disappointed. We came to Boqueria a year ago and loved the place. Great food and ambience. We came back to NY this year and visited the place again. Service was terrible. Food took forever to come, wrong order, bill upside down. The manager kept walking by and noticed the mess but never took a moment to stop and ask if everything was fine... absolutely zero interest for his customers, such a shame as the food is fantastic. Disappointed.
We did the chef’s tasting. Our server spoke to us about allergies and preferences. Our menu was perfect. Great service by our server!
My kids and I went to Boqueria during a break between two Broadway plays. They had our table ready and waiting for us, but the wait staff seemed distracted and kept forgetting different parts of our order. Most of the food was tasty but their signature dish of grilled prawns was the most expensive and least appealing of the tapas we ordered. My kids asked for Shirley Temples to drink and the waiter came back with something that was not quite what they ordered instead of telling them it was not available. The atmosphere was nice overall, but I would say the prices were high and the experience just okay all told. My kids do enjoy sophisticated foods in general, but we were all underwhelmed with the actual food. The waiter did comp our drinks to make up for some of the errors, which was nice and also clearly a sign that they did not put their best foot forward with our meal. Might be a better spot for drinks with friends than a full meal.
This was my 2nd visit to Boqueria West 40th (4th visit including their other locations) and once again, it did not disappoint! My husband and I had the Boqueria Experience and it was WONDERFUL! We were a bit short on time, and our waiter made sure we were able to enjoy all of the courses and get to our show on time. Thank you for another perfect dining experience!
Service could be a bit more efficient. While others may like to linger for 3+ hours, our party was hoping to be out sooner. Wait staff is; however, very pleasant and friendly.
Thoroughly enjoyed Boqueria, and would have probably enjoyed it more if they hadn’t run out of bread. Of course that meant we couldn’t have the pan con tomate, which is one thing we wanted to try. I realize we went late, but no bread in a Spanish restaurant...really?
Food was delicious...already recommended to friends
Manager Erin made sure our experience was outstanding. Highly recommend!
This is my second visit to Boqueria, the other one having been to the one on the UES. The service was excellent. The waiters were attentive and asked the bartender to make me a drink, or as close to it as possible, that had been removed from the menu. The food also came out very quickly. The food was delicious, though a couple of the appetizers had only 3 and there were only 2 of us. I suppose the amounts can't be adjusted for the size of the party! The quail eggs sounded interesting but were bland and the chorizo could hardly be tasted. The garlic shrimp were delicious and we just wanted to keep sopping up the garlic and oil with the bread. The stuffed dates were very good, but a little sweet. Another wrap of bacon would have done the trick! The lamb meatballs were very good, though could have been a bit more tender.
The eggplant tapas was outstanding!
I’ve never had a bad experience at any Boqueria. This one is the newest. Very lively and crowded. We got a great table in the back. Food is always delicious and never disappoints. They have a wonderful selection of cocktails and mocktails. I highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of tapas and good food in general!
They definitely squeeze people in. We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen and I barely had enough space to fit. Our server was slow. But the food was exceptional.
This is a unique and delicious destination. But plan to stay for a while!
very nice selection of tapas in vegetarian, fish and meat options. We really enjoyed the mushrooms, squid, and the special grilled Iberico pork. Service could have been better as our waiter covered too many tables to provide prompt service.
This place makes me feel like I’m back in Spain, just with an NYC pace! One of my new faves!
This was my first visit to this location and I will definitely go out of my way to return. The front patio is super nice and relatively quiet for street eating. The interior is beautiful and spacious. The food was excellent and the brunch pricing with bottomless sangria was a great value. Ashtov (sp?) provided great, personable service.
Amazing, authentic Spanish food and drink; atmosphere a little incongruous
Exceptional selections of tapas, food and beverages followed by yummy desserts!!
I love this restaurant but I was annoyed because the AC was having problems and I spent the entire time sweating and holding my cold water glass to help myself cool down. Not the way someone wants to have dinner but it is what it is. Hopefully they fixed it by now.
Open kitchen emitted too much heSt, little too warm for comfort.
really delicious food in a lively atmosphere. Loved the lamb meatballs and the potatoes.
Server and food was outstanding
Great experience! Will be a returning costumer.
Food is decent and service from the waiters are good. Reception sux. Very much not willing to accommodate guests with request.
We came after a Sunday matinee and it was almost perfect! Fantastic food, lovely server- the only downside was the slightly failing AC. I went to the downstairs restroom just to cool off! However note that this is not typical. I’ve been a dozen times over the last year with no similar issues.
What a fun night out! Everything was fresh and flavorful. The Blanca sangria was sublime.
Nice place to go!
Go here all the time. Service was a little sub par for this particular instance. Food always amazing, wish you didn’t have to try to find your server
Great food service was scratchy
Ordered Paella and it took 1 h, but it turned out to be too salty. We tried to live with it, but we just couldn't stand it because it's too salty and almost bitter. In the end we talked to the waiter and we decide to return the plate. The couple next to our table also said it was salty. But they were hungry and would eat whatever.
The food and drinks were great. The service was very good as well. The tables were very close to each other and it was very warm in the restaurant. Overall I enjoyed my meal especially the bacon wrapped dates, the octopus, lamb, and churros.
