We got there early. So our table wasn’t ready. Which is understood. But ended up at the bar. the quality and service was on point. Ended up staying till closing. So I have nothing but good things about this place.
I loved the ambiance of the restaurant - the people were friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious and the drinks were refreshing. Loved the brunch menu and our server was attentive and super nice to us. The tapas were to die for everything from taste to quantity, paella was delicious and different, and dessert was amazing ending to our afternoon. My sister and I had a wonderful time and we will definitely be recommending this spot to our friends and hopefully we can make it back soon! Thank you for an awesome afternoon!
Boqueria was delicious as always. We had a group of 6 and utilized the Chef's Menu option - $50/person was WELL worth it as we had over 10 tapas + paella. Many of the tapas came out with two portions, enough for everybody. We love the restaurant and would recommend this for anybody!
Mel is amazing! She is an outstanding server/waitress: knowledge of the dishes, attention to our table, great conversation, and overall professionalism.
We deeply thank her for the hospitality.
It was incredible, go with one of the chefs menus.
Nice but terrible service
Food was excellent and service attentive at lunchtime. Definitely recommend for lunch, especially because it is quiet.
Have to be honest - the food was mediocre. Have been to Boqueria many times in the past but this was my first time to the UES location. Food was just so-so, our waiter was quite good though and they had nicely made a birthday card for my friend which was a nice touch. But I wouldn’t go back simply because of the food.
Great food (lots of vegetarian choices too), good service, and decent-sized portions for a tapas restaurant. But the tables are too small, and once the dishes start coming from the kitchen, you’ve gotta constantly rearrange things. And they pack the tables ridiculously close to each other, adding to the discomfort. I also don’t enjoy sitting on high stools, but you might not mind. All in all a great food experience with some downsides.
Great food. This place has gotten awfully popular and crowded all the time. Good for them. Food is great but service is a bit pressed sometimes. Awesome wine selection.
One of my favorite neighborhood places!
Great food at a great value. Nice wine list
The food was really outstanding although the website hours for Brunch doesn’t match what we experienced on the day that we went to the restaurant.
It was INCREDIBLE...will def be back
I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS PLACE NOW! FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL. Only thing i would change is leaving a carafe on the table for bottomless/less ice in the drinks. We were pouring ice out of our cups because there was too much. Also I think it would be easier for the waiter to leave a carafe for bottomless and more enjoyable for the customer.
The food was excellent and tasty - the seafood paella maybe a little salty, but overall the food was well seasoned. The kale salad was absolutely exceptional
Our server was great and the chef was super enjoyable to watch. The host took care of us too!
Above all, the food was AMAZING! Definitely going back again.
The noise level was so high that you could barely hear the person next to you. It made the whole experience extremely UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!
The food was good but the service was inattentive. The servers were hurried and unable to pay attention to everyone.
I would not recommend it if you plan to chat your your friends while you’re eating. A shame because the food it’s worth it!!!
Boqueria continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in the city. Our first trip around Spain was a month-long trip in July of 1969 and we have returned many times for both business and pleasure. You could say
we understand and have a love affair with Spanish cuisine. It's great that Boqueria has several locations in the city.
It will be good to have areal sangria with not a lot of ice and confortable seating
Favorite Brunch spot in nyc by far! Get so much for what you pay
Valentine’s Day dinner
We went with the prefixe menu for Valentine’s Day but needed to have it altered for a gluten allergy. It doesn’t seem like anyone was monitoring what we were getting because after only 5 dishes (of 7 mains) we were told that we were getting dessert. Understanding we had a gluten allergy, it would have been nice to have been told that we should have ordered off the main menu instead of prefixe if we were going to get stiffed 2/7 dishes. We had to ask for one of them (the shrimp, which was gluten free so not sure why we wouldn’t have gotten it anyway?), which was brought to us after we asked, but ended up paying the full amount for one less dish which I think was a ripoff. Not sure if we will come back in the near future as I don’t know if we can trust the servers to ensure the prefixe dishes are all brought to the tables.
Boqueria UES is usually our go to for dinner dates. This latest time was incredibly frustrating. The server kept taking our drinks away when we had at least another 2 sips left. It ruined the whole experience.
Enjoyed the food. Very expensive
Paella was excellent albeit a bit too much for one person.
Great time with friends ! Food was great, service was good but I had to remove one star for 2 reasons: we have to ask 3 times to put down the AC. They have also put us on table for 4 vs 5, while the booking was made for 5. Other than that it was great
Hi Salma, Thank you for the great review! We value your feedback and I'll be sure to look into this to ensure comfortable seating arrangements. Please ask for me on your next visit so I can introduce myself. We hope to see you back soon!
Good place, food was amazing. Definitely a very lively place. Alittle cramp on the inside but overall I would recommend.
Food always comes too quickly , not always hot , feels a bit rushed ( because it is ) but overall always a good experience
good food..all small plates...our waiter was expert both on the menu, and the very difficult all-spanish wine list...GREAT value for upper east side manhattan
Hi Bill, I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your recent visit with us and that you loved the food and service! Our servers have extensive wine knowledge to always best direct you to the perfect pairing. I can’t wait to welcome you back to Boqueria again soon. Please ask for me by name the next time you’re in, I’d love to properly introduce myself in person and say hello.
Hostess was kind of rude to my mom who I was treating to dinner. Very strange. The waiter was amazing tho and the food delicious
Noisy, crowded, tight but what I expect when I go to my neighborhood Spanish restaurant for tapas.....skip the paella.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommended! Be sure to try the bacon wrapped dates!
Super friendly staff and great food. Lunch service was quick but without seeming pushy. Our server Nelly could not have been more knowledgeable on the menu.
Great wine list too!
Best place for spanish food on the UES. Always good. A bit loud but worth it
The experience at this restaurant was wonderful! We had 6 people so we had the chefs fixed menu with the unlimited drinks for 2 hours. The waiter Barry was amazing he was very attentive and noticed one of our party members was running late and waited to out the food order so that way we would get the full 2 hours! Thank you so much for the experience I will totally recommend this restaurant.
Always a great time!
Most of the food items are deep fried or sitting in a soup of oil. Not healthy. The price per dish doesnt match the quality received. I wouldnt go here for dinner but to get a glass of wine and one snack not eat a full dinner. Service was good and atmosphere was energetic.
I had a great time at my birthday brunch here. Our server was patient and gracious while we took our time ordering in the beginning, he provided prompt drink refills throughout the meal, and every delicious dish was served hot and fresh. You can end up sacrificing quality of food or drinks at a bottomless brunch, but that doesn't happen at Boqueria, and they provide a generous 2 hour drink time limit versus the usual 1 or 1.5 hours. I definitely recommend Boqueria UES!
The food was delicious and our tapas came out quickly. All in all a great experience!
