Unfortunately, food seems to have slipped recently. Romaine salad was way overdressed, charcuterie items very salty and oily. Still a fun spot, but need to focus on bringing food quality back up.
Great food and service! Tapas are delicious and the cocktails were also good. The atmosphere is cozy and i felt noise level was ok compared to other restaurants in the city. I would recommend it!
Been here several times and always excellent!! We’ve tried many of the dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. My only disappointment is It’s pricier than I would like considering it’s tapas.
Spinach way too sour. Seafood is ok. Service and mood is great.
Food, service, ambiance all good but it is pricey. I'm not sure that it deserves the price.
The food was okay. We were there for brunch, and I didn’t think they had a lot of options or variety. The brunch menu is very limited. I got the shrimp and eggs and it was good but halfway through the meal I bit into something horribly spicy and couldn’t finish the rest. The menu didn’t specify there was anything spicy. The sangria was good and our friends had the paella which looked amazing. The patatas bravas were amazing.
Typical tapas place with uncomfortable searing
Each tapas dish was extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection- we started with the patatas frites, lamb meatballs, pan con tomate, and mushroom croquettes. For our entrees we ordered the french toast and shrimp scramble (which was cooked perfectly, not too overdone). Boqueria offers a wonderful brunch feast which includes 4 different tapas, 2 entrees (or paella), and a dessert (churros w/ chocolate), all with bottomless brunch drinks for $39. We stuck with the red sangria for drinks and were completely satisfied and stuffed by the end. Definitely a great spot for a weekend brunch!
Love the food - service also very good - but having to shout across a small table just to be heard is the one big bummer to me
Great food and service. The noise, however, is DEAFENING. It is impossible to have a conversation at this restaurant without yelling. The night I was there, I could not enjoy the beautifully prepared food because of the assault of the never ceasing screeching voice of the girl dining at the table to the left and the booming baritone of the man to the right. I would like to come back for the food but will have to find an off-peak time to do so.
AC wasn't working very well so it was very hot where we were sitting towards the middle of the restaurant. but otherwise food and service were great!
Food and service were excellent. Nice ambiance, too.
As always, excellent dishes and service! You can never go wrong with the standard tapas menu. However, make sure to ask the server about the special and seasonal offerings. They are too good to pass up! Highly recommended and I will always go back again and again.
Great place for tapas, especially the croquetas—they were so fluffy and flavorful, I’m still thinking about them!
My favorite restaurant in NYC! Brunch with unlimited Sangria is lots of fun. Tapas are well balanced and delicious!
Oscar was awesome!
Restaurant is stylish, food is great (there were a couple dishes that are good enough to stop conversation!), the only issue is this place is uncomfortably hot! My partner and I had dinner on an evening in August and were seated in the back near the kitchen - we are both hardcore gym rats and in very good shape - but we never got a chance to cool down from walking outside because of the inside temperature. This place would easily be 5 stars if we hadn’t spent the whole time sweating!
Such a great place with delicious food. Their seasonal menu was amazing. I would highly recommend.
We went for brunch. It was excellent door and drinks with excellent service for an amazing price. Our server Oscar was personable, professional, and fun. You can't go wrong with anything on the brunch menu.
Very authentic menu with a bit of a twist. Comfortable ambiance and service was attentive but not bothersome.
The octopus with artichokes was a favorite and should have ordered two
Great food and the lunch tapas special is a good value
Try all the sangrias!!
Never gonna stop coming here, always the best brunch deal for bottomless drinks and so much food
We ordered paella for lunch. Quantity was good for 2 persons. Quality of seafoods was really good but a little bit salty. And it needed 30-40 minutes to cook. But great food i think and recommend to you though.
The restaurants air conditioning didn’t seem to be working. I asked our waitress three times to turn the air down and it did not happen. I felt like I couldn’t enjoy my meal like I have in the past because it was so hot
Third time here. The menu is great. We had the best service tonight too!
Excellent food consistent quality , good service and relaxed atmosphere
Food and wine delicious! Fun ambiance. Our waitress was not engaging and appeared disinterested. But we had a great night.
What a great place to get brunch with friends! Making the reservation was easy for 11:30 on a Saturday morning and there were still several tables open when we arrived. By the time we left, most of the restaurant was filled up. The food was delicious and a fantastic deal. We did the "Brunch Feast" which came with bottomless sangrias (white, red, or rose, all fantastic). We had PLENTY of food for three people and the waitress was generous and attentive when it came to refilling our drinks. Highly recommend!
OK food but that's about it. The crispy cauliflower was the only remarkable dish. I'm a big fan of spanish omelettes but neither of the varieties we ordered were particularly good - dry and probably over done. The cod was almost tasteless as were the unidentifiable greens provided with it. The flatbread with some kind of mushroom on it was universally declared untasty. Nice ambiance, very good service, but just not very good food. I wouldn't go there again.
It was great foods and values. But just too noisy, we couldn’t talk and left before desserts.
Food was amazing and service was easy going and polite. Sangria was flowing nice. I would definitely visit again.
Perfecto... Had a chance to have lunch with both my sisters. Spanish tapas won - and we chose Boqueria UES. Glad we did. The servers were friendly and made good suggestions. They also were paying attention to our needs, without being over-bearing. We had ample time to chat and catch-up. The food was outstanding. Must do the "gambas al ajillo" for sure. They are perfect. The food really makes you feel like you're actually in Spain! Great Rosé Sangría too! My only caveat: would have loved a few "regular height" tables/chairs. My sisters are retired, and although they made it up to a booth-level couch, regular chairs would have been more comfortable. Thanks for a great lunch!
The food was very good but the place is too noisy.
The service was excellent, our attendant was really, really good!
Absolutely delicious food! The croquettes were out of this world. The wines are fantastic. We ordered five dishes and one was better than the other. The kitchen is in view and runs like a well oiled machine. I can’t wait to dine here again!
Food is amazing as always. The service was good. The only thing I would comment on negatively was that they wouldn't seat us until the whole party arrived. We were a party of three. Us girls could have started without him. The great food more than made up for it. See you again soon!
This restaurant has a great Spanish vibe. Not very attractive and somewhat dark, The food is delicious. The service was extrraordinary, considering the fact that every table was full. All seats were high-tops. The main problem for me and my friend was the incredible noise. We had to shout to one another.
This is a very uncomfortable restaurant to dine in. We went to Boqueria for dinner. Our food - we had a flatbread, chicken, some vegetables and churros, all shared - were quite good, as was the sangria. Service was OK. The problem was the seating. All of the chairs are high and there are no foot rests on the tables; it is a very unpleasant way to sit for any length of time. And the tables are also very close to each other so, when full, the restaurant was very noisy. It's a pity. I liked the menu, but I likely won't go back unless they change the seating.
Server was mia most of our me, took 30 mins to take our drink orders despite there being open tables. Croquettes and eggplant plate were great. Meatballs and octopus were meh.
