2nd time I have been here and will continue coming back!
Food was amazing but our server was so bad that it actually detracted from the meal. I work in the service industry and give servers who may be having a bad day a lot of leeway but when you’re spending ~$50pp you shouldn’t have to deal with a rude and inattentive server.
It is a shame too because the food was incredible but we all left feeling kinda disappointed because of our server. I’d probably give it another shot though because of the quality of the food.
Thanks to the kitchen staff for putting together such a great meal!
Only negative was not enough air conditioning on a hot day
The food was amazing as usual but our waiter acted as if we ordered too much food and was extremely rude about it. I threw in an order of the potatoes at the last second and he said “I’ll bring it to you if you’re still hungry.” I was SO embarrassed but told him to bring it as I ordered and that I could always take leftovers him (which I did). He didn’t even ask if we wanted desert - making assumptions all on his own. So incredibly rude.
Great gambas tapa!
Not as good as I expected; some og the tapas were fine, but some others were very disappointing.
Great food and service again! I love the place and wish I could go more often.
Everything about this place is wonderful. I loved it all from the atmosphere to the food. Although I didn't mind it, my family did mention that the wait time for our food was a little long. Without us asking, the manager ended up bring us a free tapa because of the wait. I thought that was a very sweet gesture. Other than that, I am excited to go back and can't wait to try even more food!
The chairs are very small in the high top section. I felt as though I was going to slide off. When we arrived it would have been nice to be asked if we wanted high top chair seating by the hostess but we were never asked. The tiny seating area that wasn’t high top seating took a very long time to get a table. I just wish they asked your preference for seating.

From the moment we sat down we were treated like VIPs. Ingrid, our server was extremely helpful in explaining the menu since we had never been to the restaurant before. She made additional suggestions to help us place our order and the result was that everything was perfect. She came back several times to make sure that everything was good. Kevin, the manager, stopped to talk with us while personally delivering one of the dishes. He was very charming and took time to tell us about the history of the restaurant and the other locations. We could not have been more pleased.
The food and beverages are always top notch. But this most recent visit featured long waits for waitstaff to come to the table, long pauses between ordering drinks and getting them, and quite a delay in taking our food orders. Not characteristic of previous visits, but I brought a client for the evening and it was somewhat awkward when she asked for water the third time (with no strong response).
Dishes are done well and are tasty and generous small plates. Very good selection of classic Spanish tapas. Service was a little off at lunch service - glass of wine ordered was never brought to the table. A dish we did not order was put on the table. Overall a good place that I would return for some of the same dishes and to try others.
Great lively environment. Appropriate for a first date with lots of great options to share. Loved the Tinta Sangria and lamb skewers.
Great lunch spot. Make a reservation. Very Noisy at lunch. Good service, good food.
The service was wonderful! When our food was taking a bit long to come out (which we hadn't even noticed) the staff brought us a complimentary ham and cheese plate to tide us over.
We had a great time thanks to our fantastic server Gustavo! He helped us by having us just course out the entire menu (we did bottomless brunch) instead of us having to figure it out. He described everything as it came out, the portions were the perfect tasting size (you can order more of anything you liked of course) and always kept our drinks topped off. Gustavo made everything incredible! The food was delicious and we left both full and overly satisfied. Try the coffee/milk vodka drink, it was incredible!!
Delicious tapas and great Spanish wines. We had an amazing octopus dish and the potato’s were the best. The decor is very subtly, lighting is low and all the searing in the section we were located is high chairs. The tables were very close but the noise level was buzzing, not disruptive. In an area where not much is open on the weekend, this restaurant is my top choice.
Food and service was really good. Would definitely return.
Very busy and extremely noisy place. Chairs are crammed in and hard to sit on! Sangria was good but way too much ice. Apps were excellent, paella was disappointing- so very mixed on the food. Atmosphere is enough to keep me away.
Loud music which doesn’t allow you to talk, rude wait staff and cold food make for a poor experience and an expensive disappointment.

Heard great things about the place but was disappointed. It was very noisy, and the food was good but not great (esp. not in comparison to other tapas spots in town like Jaleo and Estadio)
Excellent food and service. We had a wonderful family dinner with kids 10,12 and 16.
Great food and service
Food was not great. Ambient was really nice

Food was good; grilled calamari was ok, grilled octopus was very good, and the seafood paella was fantastic!
The waiter was very nice but made a couple mistakes like bringing us a $90 bottle of wine instead of the one we actually asked for, and bringing two orders of bread saying one of them was ON HIM (since we were really surprised when we found out there’s no table-center bread... at a tapas restaurant) and then still charging for both.
I also find the prices at this restaurant expensive for what you get, which is... regular Spanish tapas. But again this isn’t unusual in DC.
Food and service were excellent. It was my first experience with tapas. Highly recommended!
Needs better chairs!
Noisy with slow wait staff during our experience, and pricey. That said, ambiance and food were great.
Great experience as always, excellent food, good drinks. Our server was great but it took a little bit for our food to start coming out. Once it started though everything was excellent!
It was good. The server didn't bring out water and we had to ask for it. The server was too busy that it took awhile to get his attention and he didn't get the order right in the first time but it was overall okay
Thursday at 7:30, restaurant is VERY loud. The elevated room behind the bar, a bit less so. Only one waiter to handle 50 diners. Nice kid, but we needed more attention. Food was good, but pork ribs with lots of cinnamon seasoning and fatty too was disappointing. Anchovies, nice, but would have preferred more than six. Lamb skewers very good and a salad (one of the few on the menu) very good. Least expensive wine ($11) were delicious. Beautiful decor.
This restaurant has always been very consistent. Food and service are all great. It gets really packed on Friday after work so make sure to reserve your table ahead of time.
Service is amazing and the food superb!
The food is quite good, with numerous options. The wine list was disappointing on this visit as they were out of a number of the reds by the glass. My friend’s first glass was “corked” and while they did open a new bottle and get her a fresh glass, we were a bit surprised they didn’t comp the one glass of wine. It is a very lively ambience, and very loud, so can be challenging if you’re looking for a place to have a conversation.
flavorful food, a variety of choices, friendly and efficient service.
Food was disappointing. I had a visitor from Bogota and was embarrassed that I selected Boquria based on the food. I've been here numerous times and generally am pleased but this time our food was cold and not good.
6pm on a Sunday evening, nice prices for happy hour menu.
Staff was excellent.
Food is always out of this world. Great small plates to share with family and friends, and also great drinks!
This was my first time for brunch and the bottomless brunch really brings all the hits!
All of the food here is delicious. The meat skewers, the meatballs, the cheeses! The waiter was pushy with recommendations that we didn’t ask for with both drinks and food and the high top stools at our table were uncomfortable but the FOOD makes it all worth it.
