Great food with polite and efficient service. A most enjoyable experience. We will definitely soon go back to Boqueria for Sunday brunch.
Great experience! I received an email for a free birthday bottle of cava, which is why we came in. Overall it was a great experience! The service was good, and the food was pretty good as well. Though one of our dishes (the Tortilla Vaga de Chorizo) was just not what I was expecting—the potatoes were in a crispy stick form and the eggs were just laid sunny side up underneath. It wasn’t horrible, but as someone who loves the typical Spanish tortilla, this wasn’t what I was expecting.
An upbeat spot with genuine character. Every dish was delightful and did not disappoint. Strong variety as well. Would definitely recommend!
The food was phenomenal and very much an authentic rendition of Spanish food that they were still able to make their own. I've been multiple times and will definitely go back.
Four of us met here before going to the Holiday Boat Light Parade. It was overall wonderful. The food, oh my the food. And the sangria!! We all agreed that we will be coming back. Thank you for a perfect evening.
We have dined at this Boqueria location several times and always have a very good experience. Our last visit was noteworthy because Taylor at the front desk was extremely helpful in arranging a table for us when we arrived a bit early.
We were in DC for a family wedding and got together with a small group of cousins for dinner at Boqueria. We did have a great time there, mostly because we hadn’t seen one another for a long time. Service was prompt and friendly. Some of the dishes were excellent (1/2 chicken, grilled octopus), but others were mediocre at best (albondigas). We all love the idea of tapas and have had some excellent experiences elsewhere. However, we find that prices are way out of line for such small plates. So, by the time you order enough for everyone in your party and add it all up, the cost is higher than for a traditional meal. But this place seems to be popular. It was jammed on Friday night. Because of this, noise level was way too high.
The 6 of us walked into Boqueria and brought the median age up by 30 years. The noise level was deafening. It’s definitely the place to go for the Friday night meet and greet if your in your late 20’ to mid 30’s. We were seated at a booth in one of the window bays and that seemed to help with the noise level. The bar slowly thinned out so that helped as well.
Now for the Important part....the food. It was superb. We ordered about 15 different dishes and each one was excellent. The group has been to many of the top restaurants in DC and this ranks up there as one of our best meals. Kudos to the chef. We’ll definitely be back.
Great ambience! Professional waiters and good food
Incredible bottomless food & drink at Brunch!
Always one of my go-tos. The food and drinks are fantastic, and the restaurant has a very fun vibe. I'm a fan of the octopus and the shishito margarita. Keep in mind that it can get noisy and the restaurant is a little crowded.
Enjoyed the food and selection of Spanish beverages. Had three superb fish plates. Only drawback was that it was deafening! To the point of being unpleasant so the street was a welcome relief. Lunchtime might be better.
Great, authentic tapas (my wife is a Spaniard and we got to Spain often). And great Americanized tapas, too. Drink service was abysmal. Waited forever to get drinks and our bottle of wine after we ordered. But food came out quick. Oddly, we waited 15 minutes for check after we asked for it. And it was crowded, sure, but it was also a Tuesday so not totally crazy. Great for groups, after work nibble and swig. That being said, we came with our 5 year old and we were fine with him as well.
Amazing staff; amazing service, would recomend Boqueria in a heart beat.
Seated with ease. We did the bottomless brunch that included unlimited tapas style brunch and drinks (sangria, mimosa, etc). It was a stellar value for $42 considering being in DC. The service was fast, efficient, and the food was always fresh! When in DC, this will always be a place I make sure to visit.
The hostess was amazing and was able to accommodate our last minute addition, which she didn’t have to do and we greatly appreciated... But after that, everything was sort of ho-hum and disappointing. Definitely not the amazing experience that we’ve come to know and love at Boqueria. We sat for awhile before the whole table got their drinks (they came late), food items never came, and for bottomless for two hours, we only had two refills on our drinks.
It was a Saturday early afternoon, and Boqueria was crowded with people lining up for bottomless mimosas and sangrias. We managed to get a table a bit "sheltered" from the incredible noise from the mimosa drinkers. The gambas al ajillo was superb; the calamari, though fried, was better than in most places; our Cava was delicious; and our waitress was super nice! Will definitely be back!
Bottomless food + drink brunch is ALWAYS worth it!
service could be better.
It was perfect! As usual!
Food was delicious, the service by Bruno was top notch. My only complaint would be with the sangria, it was ok, but quite watered-down.
I love Boqueria. It is one of my favorite brunch places in DC. It has great food, drink, and ambiance. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a great brunch place in DC. It also offers bottomless mimosas and the price is right. It is a must-go place.
Must try the patatas bravas. The fennel salad was light and fresh and a great counterpoint to the heavier potatoes. The tables are pretty close together, but still comfortable.
Most every choice we shared was delicious. Loved that our waiter was honest on how much to order. Paella was delicious!
Nothing special happened for a birthday occasion except charging me $18 for cutting the cake. A compulsory 20% tip was charged, which I don't think the waiters deserve.

Birthday brunch! Always a good value for the amount of food and bottomless drinks.
Nice place for lunch and also a date with friends or closer. A bit too loud for me for a special date but everything else about the place is great. It is a step up from your everyday lunch spot ambience-wise and food wise. Go to place for that wee something a bit more special.
If they could have a more quiet room I would rave.
Great place for tapas. We loved the lamb meatballs.
Food used to be better. Bottomless menu is too limited.

Too noisy on weekends due to brunch menu that encorages young people to attend the restaurant and drink as much as they can....
I felt like I was back in a Barcelona! The food was simply superb... we sat on the outside patio and enjoyed every single dish we ordered: the roast chicken was divine, the veggie dishes each distinct in flavoring of ingredients, as were the churros stuffed with Nutella...
The service and food were both amazing! We appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the deliciousness of the food.
Super excellent tapas! Great service, too.
Boqueria was the perfect destination outside of the office. A co-worker and I were celebrating the births of our girls born one year ago. The food was great - the small plates duo for $29/each was just right. We each ordered to our liking. Our server was great and he even got me to try the Shishito peppers that I just knew were HOT. Well, they were not hot, but lightly salted and sauteed and enjoyable! I save this place for special occasions and will surely be back. Thank you Boqueria for a lovely afternoon and lunch.
Great neighborhood dining experience.
Service was slow even though the restaurant wasn't packed. 3 dishes for 3 people out of 8 were extremely last and they came when the rest was almost done. Dessert (part of the course menu) came out really late and to get the check took so long.
Incredible food, and the bottomless brunch is an excellent deal! The food and drinks remind me of Spain.
The food and service were exceptional!
Great! Seafood paella was good. Medium size good for 2-3 people. Croquettes was our appetizer - so good!
