As always, a throughly Enjoyable experience
Great place to have a dinner meal with colleagues from work! After setting a reservation we were seated and served promptly. Would definitely recommend to others wanting to have a good, cheaper option of dining than most sit'down places in DC.
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed your meal with us, and look forward to welcoming you back again soon and yes please bring back your coworkers and friends! Please ask for me by name the next time you’re in, I would love to introduce myself in person. Francisco Landaverde, Boqueria Dupont Manager
Añways great but chairs are not comfortable
Perfect. Would go back for a business lunch anytime.
Second time taking my folks to Boqueria. The usual staples were delicious - croquetas/gambas/espinacas. I tried the fennel salad for the first time and though I thought it was good, it lacked a little something to pump up the flavor. Nevertheless, we love this place.
The food was incredible. The service was great, our waitress had great suggestions and was helping us before we even had questions. Super thoughtful and nice!!
The patatas braves are the best in town! Gambas al ajilllo are also good, but perhaps need a touch more garlic. Very good service. Be prepared for lots of noise, but the food is worth it!
I spent my birthday dinner there with my family. They had an incredible variety of plates, and plenty of vegetarian options for some of my family members. I got the Alpine Spritz and the Basque Mule, and while they were unique, they weren’t what i expected for the price. The sangria definitely delivered though. I highly recommend the Batatas Bravas and the Mushroom dish. Also the Calamares. They brought our churros for my birthday with an incredible rich chocolate sauce finished with sparklers. The costs of the plates do add up, since they are small and you keep ordering, but all in all I am pretty satisfied.
Natasha was attentive and very pleasant, Excellent service
Came for my birthday but my server didnt even know that. Food was just okay. Server forgot a few of our drinks about 2 - 3Xs. charged for two kids drinks. Dont think I will go back.

Great food, really fun experience!
Will never understand dining in highchairs. Too noisy to have any conversation
My friend and I came here for an early weekday lunch and sat at the bar. The service from the bartender (can't remember his name) was fantastic! And you can't beat the lunch special to share some small plates/tapas. This is one of our favorite places to go in the Dupont area.
I was disappointed to learn the unlimited brunch ended at 2:00 pm not at 3:30 pm which OpenTable listed. If I had known the unlimited brunch ended at 2:00 I would not have made a reservation for 2:15.
Boqueria made my partner and my anniversary celebration so special. From the service to food and drinks, it was the perfect evening.
I love the bottlomless brunch!
Service was fantastic and our 25 year old Spanish au pair loved it for her birthday dinner. She got the kids and us to try all sorts of great tapas plates and the ambiance was so munch fun.
We went for a business dinner, and we had a great experience. The mood was lively and definitely a local crowd. The food was great and the price was good. The small plates made for an adventure for the palate. Great value on the wine as well.
This is the second visit here for me, and I recommend it for something different.
Very good Spanish style wine bar. Small plates are the best choice as the "Share" items were very expensive and took considerable time for a group of people. Drinks were well made and they were very good wine selections. Fried peppers and staying with the small plates - nothing was bad, some very good. Some items better than others but I can see in a place like this that with some dishes quality on certain nights could vary depending on who is cooking. But you will enjoy the food. Our servers were friendly and helpful. Given the nature of the order, I can see how reservations could quickly get backed up and frustrate people. It is easy to linger here. All in all, a good experience and we will return.
Had a great experience the other night. Friendly and attentive staff. Joseph the manager stopped by the table to make sure we were having a good time. Food came out fast and drinks were wonderful. Will definitely return and bring more friends. Thank you for an unforgettable evening!
Excellent brunch choices. A la carte orders were plenty of food and absolutely delicious.
I cannot say enough good things about this place! Tasty food, great service, awesome atmosphere. Very good with gluten knowledge. I was able to enjoy far more dishes than I expected, and the charcuterie plate is worth making the trip for alone.
Excellent server. Delicious brunch items.
Great date night spot. My boyfriend and I shared a pitcher of sangria and 3 tapas dishes. Was fun trying different foods and each dish was delicious. Highly recommend the lamb and the patatas bravas.
I really like this place. Unusual
Cocktails and the food is a bit different and delicious. Service is always exceptional. Happy hour is fun too. Went for a business lunch this time so we went early because it can be a bit loud.
This was our first visit to Boqueria but won’t be our last! We were seated right on time. Our server was great - we asked for recommendations and our first round of tapas were so good, that we basically let him steer our orders for the rest of the night. Everything was great. Do not miss the bacon wrapped dates and even if you’re full, the answer to “would you like an order of churros for dessert?” is YES.
Jennifer was amazing! She was an outstanding server and seems to genuinely enjoy her work! A pleasure!
Gambas al ajillo, cheeses and charcuterie board, patatas bravas, tortilla española are my favorite on the menu!
Brunch was great, bottomless drinks and food! Service was excellent, fun ambiance, great for groups.
Years ago, I used to love coming here for the bottomless brunch. The menu was extensive and the service excellent, particularly with large groups. I thought it a great value for ~$45 per person. Not anymore.
The current menu is very limited and omits bacon, which was one of my favorite former options. On our visit this weekend, we were seated promptly but it took nearly 30 minutes for the first food (a boring romaine salad) to hit our table. Food then came out at a decent clip, but would have preferred to order exactly what we wanted and pass on certain items instead of their system where they send out one of everything and then you get to order more of anything you'd like. Our server was very busy and, though I could tell he was trying to be attentive, was clearly overwhelmed and forgot about some of our requests for additional food and drink over the course of the service.
As for the food, the highlights were the chicken tenders, patatas bravas, and steak and eggs. The pan con tomate was very dry. The sangria tinta was tasty and not too sweet. Overall, I'd recommend going to Agora on 17th Street for a better atmosphere (note: Boqueria is an extremely loud restaurant during brunch) and more diverse menu.
Finally, the bathroom situation is unfortunate in that there are simply not enough single-use bathrooms, so there is almost always a substantial line at peak brunch time.
I'll try the Penn Quarter location eventually, but I won't be back to Dupont anytime soon.
Boqueria is the place to meet friends over a pitcher of Sangria.
Inattentive waiter and very average tapas - nothing that would provoke us to return
My friend & I each ordered a salad. Although the salads were delicious, for $18 each, the portions were a little small for the hefty price.
Excellent value for the price. Very good, fresh food, nice preparation and presentation. We especially liked the steak and eggs, the meatballs and the French toast. Top notch service. Great brunch choice— we’ll definitely return,
Nice food, service was OK
This place was amazing and I cannot praise it enough!!!! We had such a great time!!!! I can’t wait to go back.
We loved Boqueria. I felt like I was back in Granada, Spain. Exceptional tapas and service!!!! When our server learned we were celebrating our 1st month of marriage, she brought us champagne which was very sweet. We will be back!!
Love the food and service is great. The tables are very close together, and it's noisy - which can make it hard to converse.
I love their fixed prize menu. The peppers, roasted potatoes with aioli, calamari, spinach with raisins and pine nuts, and gambas were delicious. And the perfect ending—churros with hot chocolate is to die for.
I love this combination that I ordered the same dishes at Boqueria Penn Quarter.
