Portion sizes of food are small that is my only complaint
This is a perfect place for Brunch with friends.. The tapas style food was great to chat with friends and bottomless drinks were a steal for $39. The beet salade, french toast, bacon and potatoes were just some of my favs. Everything was delicious and worth trying off from the menu. However my weakness overall was the dessert.
The Churros and Molasses flavored pineapples were the best ... Finger-licking good!! The server were great, and had a good feel on what to suggest since this was our first visit there. The food was solid in taste, along with a wide variety.
I would definitely recommend this to my friends to go to again and will be looking forward to going before the year ends again !!
We came for the bottomless brunch and had a most spectacular experience! Every plate was delectable, and they kept coming at the perfect pace! Each dish was absolutely delicious, and we tried a bit of it all! We never had empty drink glasses either! During the busy brunch hours, every seat was full and service was great! We will definitely be back & I have recommended this place to everyone I know.
Boqueria has one of the best boozy brunches in town. The way they set up their brunch menu is to serve you all of the food options available that day -- and they keep the drinks flowing steadily. This was my second time going to Boqueria's brunch - and I will certainly be back. If you come hungry, you'll easily get your $40 worth of food and drink for this prix-fixe type brunch.
Great restaurant as always. Fabulous food and great servuce, but extremely noisy. With a lively crowd, which is great and adds to the fun, it would make sense to lower the volume on the music
We love this place and go to brunch every time we visit DC. Usually, it's very busy so we made a reservation, but the Saturday after Thanksgiving it was quiet.
Papas brava, eggs benedict, sausage with beans in red sauce, everything is above reproach. You can't beat bottomless mimosas at brunch and some beers are included.
Service has always been superb with a happy attitude. We love sitting at the bar and watching international futbol on the television, but table service has always been good, too.
Our waiter was amazing, and he shared his favorites and made great suggestions. We were there for lunch and tried probably four different dishes. We still had to take doggie bags home. Too good to waste a thing.
I had brunch at Boqueria at the recommendation of family and thought, why on earth do they have a 2.5 hour limit per table - who could eat that long? Well, my table certainly could! The price tag for the unlimited brunch might seem steep ($40), but its not: for 2.5 hours (a little less if you arrive at last seating, 2PM), you can eat and drink as much as you would like from their fabulous tapas (small plate) menu. From staples like bacon and caramel french toast (YUM!) to the slightly more exotic lamb meatballs, everything was a hit with my group.
I highly recommend a Sunday brunch at Boqueria at least once for all DC/VA/MD folks. Just be prepared for the noise level, as it is a bit tough to have a conversation. Don't go if you want an intimate setting!
Cool set up, fun place, great for a big group, and food and drinks were very good. Our service wasn't great... they were pretty efficient bringing out food and drinks but I picked up a bit of an attitude from our server. It likely stemmed from an issue when we had on arrival. We had a table of 8 but one of us was only able to stay for 45 minutes as he was driving a UHaul full of his belongings to Boston immediately after brunch. Needless to say, bottomless drinks would not be a wise choice and so he was hoping to grab a quick bite to say goodbye and be on his way. I asked if an exception could be made on their everyone at the table must order bottomless rule all the way up to the manager but was refused. So he left.
Been here 2 times in as many months. All the food was COLD both visits. Service is aweful. Space would be better utilized as a store selling used tires.
Husband and I spent the weekend in Dupont for our anniversary. We were looking for a Latin restaurant nearby to try and stumbled upon boqueria in one of our walks. It was easy to get a table through open table. We were seated right away. Waiter came and greeted us almost immediately. Food was excellent and the drinks were good as well. We got a pitcher the white wine sangria... Delicious. We ate the gambas al anillo and the paella. Thar was more than enough for us to share and have left overs for the next day or late night eating. Loved it there. Would definitely go again.
Went to Boqueria at 6:30 Thursday. The restaurant and bar were both very busy. I recommend a reservation. It was a well decorated dining room. The tables, where we sat, were tall, but conformable. The food was excellent. Quail eggs, cauliflower, croquettes, fried peppers were all delicious. The wine and drink list looked varied and I'm sure would satisfy. I was happy with price of the meal. I would visit again.
We especially enjoyed the lamb and the date tapas. Very moist and flavorful. Sorry to be too late for brunch menu. Service could have been more friendly. Ambience is contemporary, not Spanish
Went for brunch with a group of 6 people. The food was so good! My favorite foods were the Spanish omelet, Pan con Tomate and Torrija, (the French toast).
Great food, sangria is amazing, fun atmosphere, great music, excellent service, nice staff.
Brunch at Boqeria is my favorite. One price - includes some of the best food in town and unlimited refills on great beverages.
Boqueria never disappoints! I stand by it being my favorite brunch in DC. As always, perfect food, service, and company.
The tapas are great! Among the table favorites were the tortilla de patatas, meatballs, pan con tomate, and kale salad (not sure how Spanish that is, but yes, kale salad was really good). Wine was nice but pricey. Service was very good, friendly and relaxed. My complaint is that it is nearly impossible to have a conversation, the place is much too loud!
I've been to hundreds of brunches in DC, and Boqueria is consistently the best. The food is phenomenal, which you don't usually find with bottomless brunches, and their drinks are creative and delicious. I've been with large groups and small groups and always receive great service. Very highly recommended; I wish I could go every Sunday!
Overall I like the restaurant however the service can get very disorganized. Our table waited for probably 20 minutes before our next round of tapas came out some of them we didn't even get so we ended up asking for the check.
Easily one of the best Spanish tapas restaurants I have been to as far as food and ambience. The food was easily five-star. Well flavored, average portion sizes for tapas and cooked to perfection. I'm no big fan of veggies, but the sauteed spinach was my favorite part of the meal. Who would have thought to add raisins to garlic spinach? It makes a perfect blend of sweet and tart. The lamb skewers were another highlight. The ambience is nice for a date or special occasion, wood paneled walls, abundant light fixtures and an all around calm atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back soon myself.
We enjoyed each of the dishes we ordered. A great beer & wine list too -- highly recommend! We went for an early dinner. A great spot for happy hours after work as well as dinner. Outside seating a plus. We will be back again.
Cracked glass, poor waiter, lack of attention- food very good!!
Patrick was an excellent server. Food was wonderful!
We sat at the bar during all-you-can-eat brunch and I just have to say that our bar tender Julia was SUCH a delight. We were out of towners and she made us feel right at home. She friendly! The drinks were superb and the food was so, so good. I wish I could take it all back to Chicago with me!
Best bottomless brunch in DC. The waiters really know what they're doing and make sure you get to try everything. Churrooosssss!
Took my sister here for dinner before a show at DC Improv. We had the lamb meatballs (amazing), the broccoli special (very good) and the croquettes (also really good). I always get the cava here because it's always good. Service was attentive and professional. The only thing is that the high top seats (at least in or around the bar area) aren't all that comfortable. Not a big deal, but if you're wearing a skirt or heels, just be aware that the seats themselves are situated a bit high (and I'm kinda tall). Will go back for sure.
It was a great time! We went there after a wild night out for a bachelorette party and their food just really hit the spot. Would be back in a heartbeat! The waiters were really attentive towards us and made sure our drinks were full and we had food on the table.
Swank atmosphere and great eats! Multiple menus can be difficult to navigate but our helpful waitress guided us and we ended up with just the right amount. Brought me back to barcelona! The meats and cheeses are excellent (comes with a generous serving of great pan con tomate) as were the stuffed dates and the octopus.
Everything was simple and delicious, with great sauces. Some of the prices were a little eyebrow-raising, but I'll come back -- on an expense account.
Had a great dinner here while recently in DC. Recommended by our hotel staff as a neighborhood gem and they were right. The rice pudding dessert was especially good.
Pretentious tasting with friendly and efficient service! The all you can drink mimosa or sangria and all you can eat tapas selection is fantastic ! They also make sure your tapa orders include enough for the number of guest at the table.
A must try!
I have been here a couple of times now and it is always consistent in terms of service and quality.
Great spot for bottomless brunch and drinks. Loved being able to try all the small plates on the menu. Perfect for an outdoor spring brunch!
Boqueria was easily my favorite brunch location I have been to. The restaurant itself is so immaculate and gorgeous inside, and the food is even better. The wait staff were extremely helpful and efficient. The drinks I must say were a bit weak; most had hardly any alcohol in them so it was actually disappointing after three hours on a bottomless drinks menu.
Best Tapas. Always visit when in DC!
Don't miss the dates wrapped in bacon. They are scrumptious, as are the Spanish potatoes!
The patron at the table next to us did not receive an order of bacon and took it off of our table
Nice place for tapas. Hopping with patrons on a Saturday evening. Sangria is great and not watered down. The paella was very good (no surprise). Our favorite tapas was the braised oxtail. Grilled octopus was also done well. We'd go back.
I went for dinner with three coworkers. The Food was TOP NOTCH!!! Especially the potato dish, sangria and the Cherrios. I recommend that everyone make a reservation and enjoy a meal.
