Boones Fish House and Oyster Room, located on historic Custom House Wharf in the Old Port, is a premiere destination for the freshest local sourced fish as well as oysters. With all the historic trappings of a classic New England seafood establishment, Boones also offers its own re-imagined flare to classic seafood plates such as Baked Stuffed Haddock or Fish and Chips. Our Baked Stuffed Lobster, as featured on the Travel Channel is the original recipe that was created by the founder, Alexander Boone, in 1898.

Enjoy our decks in warm weather, or cozy up to the fireplace in the winter months. The rustic atmosphere is sure to please at any time of the year.

As of June 1, 2018 Boones is no longer affiliated with The Rooms Restaurant group. For this reason we can not accept gift cards or other promotions from The Rooms.

It’s ok, tourist spot for sure. Nothing special but food was decent. Can’t say anything bad about it, but wasn’t anything to take pictures of.

The lobster and lobster rolls were delicious. Had the baked stuffed lobster. Also ask for a table outside on the deck for a true al fresco experience. Also note, 90% of diners are tourists, so not really a locals place.

Service was adequate, not overly friendly. I had the famous stuff lobster. It had to be the most expensive lunch I have ever had. Presentation was good and it shocked me because I wasn’t expecting it. I think there was a lot of bread in it? It weighed heavy in my gut for the rest of the day and I had difficulty eating supper as a result. Due to the price, I forced myself to eat it all!

Food was great but a little pricey. Ambiance was cool with the party going on but if you want a more mature atmosphere there isn't it. Overall pleased, oysters were delicious, would come back

Fantastic food and great service. All at a very fair price. We sat outside and got to enjoy the music played at the next door restaurant. Great Maine beer selection to top it all off. Highly recommended.
