Oysters were delightful.. breakfast was standard.. great selection of Mimosas and bloody Mary's.. and service was spectacular.. (thanks Ethan) great overall experience!
Food is excellent, service is friendly and not overbearing but prompt. Great value in an excellent location!
Services was phenomenal.. kind, funny, and prompt. Great mimosa and bloody Mary selection and oysters are delicious!
My 4th or 5th time at boone's, this time on an enclosed outside deck. Again the food was tasty and service attentive, quick, and friendly.
Really nice place, great service, a little heavy on the price but enjoyed the experience.
I'm not too sure what to say here, I don't ever leave reviews for restaurants but me and my girlfriends experience was for sure a one a kind. We made reservations at Boones Fish House & Oyster Room for our 7 year anniversary at 3 pm SPECIFICALLY because we were excited to try their 5$ Proseccos & appetizers, and 1.25$ oysters. To start off our dinner experience, we had to wait over 10 minutes for a RESERVED table. We didn't really care to much about that to be honest though. We sat down & browsed through our menus & were ready to order after 5 minutes. Our server was very polite & took our first order of drinks, a dozen oysters, and an order of calamari. When she brought out our first set of drinks she took down the rest of our order. Our oysters came out but we never received our calamari until asking about them once our entrees had already been served. We then had to wait over 20 minutes for our second round of drinks that we had to ask for twice. Then to top it off our bill didn't include ANY of the happy hour specials. We had to mention it to our server then she corrected it PARTIALLY. She gave us 5$ proseccos, 5$ mussels, & never discounted the calamari like it is advertised on their happy hour menu. We felt like we had already asked twice for everything so we just paid our bill & went on our way. The one star is simply due to their food being good but we can't even understand how & why the service was the why it was. My girlfriend & I have both worked in the restaurant business & the service was not acceptable. Water wasn't refilled once, forgotten appetizer, reminded twice for drinks, & never fully compensated for the happy hour deals. Very sad experience for our anniversary :/
We’ve been here a few times before and they never disappoint! Our server tonight Ethan was amazing and the seafood is always delicious and fresh! We make sure to dine there every time we’re in Portland! It’s a must try!
We randomly chose Boones and couldn’t have been more delighted! Food was delicious - not a spec left on anyone’s plate and the waiter was so informative and accommodating!
Highly recommend!! The food was incredible, service fantastic and super friendly. Will be a returning customer. Best tenderloin ever! Cheesecake was met in your mouth good. So glad I discovered Boone's.
We had to wait at the bar area upstairs for quite a while. Meanwhile there was at least 6 clean tables wide open and we had a reservation. The food was pretty great, although the portions were small for what you pay. The biggest issue was the fact that there was an extremely loud and rowdy table next to us. Nothing was done by the wait staff. I could hear other tables complain as well. Made for a poor dining experience.
Great Valentines Day celebration
My husband and I had Valentine's dinner at Boones and it was wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious, we loved the clam chowder, and he had the stuffed lobster and i had stuffed haddock and both were great options! Highly recommend
The food was fantastic. Our waiter Ethan was friendly and let us take our time in ordering.
My wife’s fish was undercooked
We were there for Valentine’s Day. Staff was super friendly and attentive. We got oysters...so delicious! The ambience was great, they have a nice seating area with fireplace..very quiet and comfortable. We got the scallops in bacon... so good! The baked stuff lobster was delicious but not worth the $48. Everything else was incredible! Drinks were good. Overall great experience and heading back now for happy hour and oysters!
Good food but small portions.
Warm, cozy ambiance. Terrific food. Efficient but unobtrusive service.
Had a great evening dining with my husband. Food was perfect. Waitress was very nice.
We were initially seated near the bar which was very noisy, we requested and were moved away from the bar to a table by the fireplace. It was very nice but still a bit loud due to the acoustics of the room. Our server was excellent and handled a few special requests easily. We enjoyed our evening and will definitely be back.
Unfortunately we arrived for our 10:30am reservation on Saturday to find no one in sight. Turns out they opened at 11:30am. Not sure why the option to book a 10:30 reservation was there if they weren’t open.
The food was hands down the best seafood I have ever had. If you are not a seafood fan there are only a few options for you to eat. Very little variety with their signature cocktails.
Muy buen lugar para sentirse local, la langosta de la casa “boones” muy buena y no te complica mucho. Buena carta de vinos.
Delicious, fresh food that can’t be beat. The staff was friendly and helpful, and it made the meal a great experience. We also appreciated that they were taking the new compliance rules seriously, and we felt safe and comfortable while dining.
This is our third time here and it was amazing. Food drinks staff all wonderful. Thank you so much. Visiting from Florida
Very good, enjoyed the atmosphere. Menu had choices even if you don’t want seafood.
So happy to safely sit outside and enjoy happy hour!
Prompt courteous greeting. Waitress was super cool and attentive. Food was on point. We all agreed that the Fish sandwich, burger and chicken sandwich were excellent. The fireplace and cozy interior added to an awesome experience. We will be back!
We loved Boone’s! We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday there. Staff were so friendly and accommodating! They gave us a really nice table for the occasion, and we had Ethan as our server. We both loved our meals! We got a popover to split which was yummy with the blueberry jam. I got the 3 course dinner with the half baked lobster which was outstanding. My boyfriend got salmon and said it was one of the best plates he got out. Thank you Boone’s and staff on making our night special!
Great service and good food!
Loved the appetizers and dessert, dinner was good. Great vibe. Beautifully decorated, lighting, fireplace and cozy lounge area. The tables were well separated due to Covid. Would love to go back someday to enjoy the bar and cozy fireplace area.
New Years Eve dinner at one of our fav places to eat in Portland!!
Good happy food, a little expensive
Weeks ago I had made a reservation here for 645pm but moved it up last minute to 4pm since I was done with my walk and getting cold and hungry. Once I was seated (at a six person table) I realized that it was still happy hour for another hour. Needless to say that fact influenced my ordering decisions 😂 $1 oysters that are usually $3.95 each? Ok I'll try oysters for the first time, gimme five of them. Some of the best calamari I've ever had and another new experience of steamed buns filled with shrimp. Delightful!
Great room, great service and great food. How can you go wrong.
The stuffed lobster and lobster roll were so good! We had the 3 course special and had clam chowder and Caesar, both awesome! The creme brûlée and blondie were also lovely. Our server did a great job, and the restaurant is decorated beautifully for the holidays!
A wonderful evening!
Always enjoy Boones, we've been there a dozen or so times. Very good
Very disappointing. Happy hour..3 out of 4 appetizers were out. The service was terrible.server took an order and never came back.somebody else brought the food and a check at the end. Not recommended
Such amazing food and service. Adam was the best!!
Fantastic Food and Service!! We will definitely go back and recommend it to friends and family.
When you advertise yourself as the birthplace of baked stuffed lobster.............you should probably have that in stock! It was a Sunday night in November and there was no one else in the restaurant but they had run out of the stuffing mix they use for the dish. Absolutely ridiculous. Also, I get that it was a slow night but come on guys, you might as well as told us you were closed when we walked in.
