   As a Reno, Northlake tahoe local for over 25 years we have tried nearly every fine dining option in the north Lake Tahoe in Reno area. We were delighted to find the steakhouse at Boomtown a few months back, and have frequently been a guest ever since. The quality of the food, the presentation, the attention to detail And most importantly the service levels are superior to most other establishments in the area. Special shout out to Dan, the bartender and waiter who has become our go to person at this establishment. Dan‘s recommendations on cocktails and entrées have been spot on. His positive attitude and superior customerservice shine’s head and shoulders above the rust in the area. I do not often recommend or comment on establishments we frequent, however, this location and quality of service deserves a special recognition. I highly recommend you try the steakhouse inside boom town next time you’re in the Reno area.

   You cannot go wrong with the early bird special our server was top notch and very attentive to our table drinks were on point oysters were super fresh along with the calamari

   Everything was nice. Food was good.Food took awhile not sure why because the restaurant wasn’t busy

   We had not been to the Boomtown Steakhouse for a few years and we were very surprised. The food was excellent, prepared and cooked to perfection. Our waiter was excellent. He. was prompt with our meals and checked back with us to see how we were doing. We had an excellent experience.

   Really nice surprise. Was our first time at this restaurant. Steak, halibut and shrimp entrees were excellent and cooked very nicely. French onion soup and coconut shrimp starters were great. Definitely will repeat.

   Our night at the Boomtown Steakhouse was exceptional. Our server was Mike and he was excellent. My wife had the Ribeye which was cooked perfectly and so had their large coconut Jumbo Shrimp and was amazing. However the calamari which Mike did say was strips not rings were actually just parts of rings and look like they were from the bottom remanence of a bag that needed to be tossed. The Calamari was simply put poor quality. The Boomtown Steakhouse is still my favorite place to go for a nice romantic dinner and I still give them 5 stars or an A+. The Calamari was the cooks fault and that should not reflect all the other hard working people

   The filet and shrimp special at only $29 from 4:30 to 5:30 was what I got. It was such a great value. I ordered my steak medium rare and I have never had a more tender better filet in my 40 years. It was very fancy and even included a pallet cleanser beforehand and a hot towel after. This is the second time I’ve been and got the same waiter each time, I wish i remembered his name but he was amazing. A must try at Boomtown just outside of Reno. I felt like royalty and just a tad underdressed my first visit.
