Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey
Nice looking place. The menu is somewhat limited, but what we had was good. The biscuits were good, but not “to die for.” My biggest issue is that we were RUSHED through dinner. Obviously Looking to capitalize on the Saturday night and BLINK crowd. Not sure I would
Very noisy! Almost impossible to have a conversation. The place could use some sound absorbing tiles on the ceiling and walls. Service was good, but my Yukon Sandwich came out lukewarm. The bacon and gravy were both cool. To their credit they comped my dinner. From a value standpoint I think $2 for an extra biscuit is a little extreme. Great selection of beer. Our server directed me to a very tasty brew.
Cool place. Can't believe we've never been here before. During happy hours the prices are fantastic. Who would have thought you can have a trendy restaurant based on biscuits and gravy?
Food was different but excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal and I would definitely go back.
The food and cocktails were fantastic. The only exception to that would be the biscuits. Considering "biscuits" are part of the restaurant's name, I was expecting really good biscuits. Instead, the biscuits were just ok. However, the jams and butters served with the biscuits were phenomenal. The restaurant was a little loud, but not bad. Also, on the reservation, I listed that we had a birthday, but it was never mentioned. I was hoping for at least an acknowledgement. Overall, it was a nice night and an enjoyable experience.
This was our second visit to Boomtown, and we chose to sit outside. The ambiance was a bit different, as the patio is open to Pendleton/OTR surroundings. You can go wrong with either seating choice, and you certainly can't go wrong with the food. We've had both sandwiches, the biscuit and gravy (saw mill is the best) and the French toast. Of course, we've had the biscuit app with the amazing spreads (this time we had Oreo/pretzel spread along with several other spreads/jams). The food is really amazing here...best breakfast/brunch in the city. And the cocktails are crafted to perfection. Boomtown remains our favorite early day favorite spot.
Great date night, esp. followed by Final Friday at the Pendleton Arts Center.
Biscuits were amazing!! Great service and atmosphere.
Great place, great prices and service! Had a good business meeting there and will do it again.
All good, nice vibe. Super slow service
Loved this place! The Fool’s Gold was delicious. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to get our of bed on a Sunday morning. Can’t wait to go back.
We enjoy coming every year, when we come into town for Octoberfest. And, anytime we know someone is going to Cincy, we tell them they have to go to Boomtown. Keep up the great food.
Absolutely phenomenal flavor, will definitely visit again! However, portion sizes were rather small for the price. Would have ordered more had I known. But the Nashville Hot biscuit sandwich was AMAZING!!!!
What an amazing dinner experience!!! We enjoyed the chorizo poutine and the Oregon trail... both were awesome!!! The sunset on the patio provided the perfect atmosphere!!! Service was spectacular as well!! We'll definitely be back!
Two words ... GRAVY FLIGHT! Bring an appetite. Though it may not seem like a lot of food, I've never left not feeling very full! The Cascades, a biscuit French toast with a fruit compote, is delicious! Great little place.
Awesome food and awesome staff! I put down a request to “impress my date” as a bit of a joke but that’s exactly what they did. They could not have been kinder and I could tell the staff was actively trying to make it a perfect date night. Combined with great food and an awesome. Bourbon selection,... perfect evening. Thanks so much!!
Was an excellent choice. Ambiance was really cool. The food and service was top notch. Would absolutely recommend.
Outstanding, unique, best biscuits I have ever eaten!
Yummy. Something different from normal fare. I ordered the Youkon but substituted peppercorn gravy for sawmill. Delicious!
The area is very nice. The restaurant was very clean. The greeter at the door was very nice and hospitable. We were seated quickly and we were offered multiple seating options. I loved the simple menu and our server did a great job explaining the food options. The food was great. The price was a little high but not oppressive. Will definitely return.
As always the food was amazing! The service is great too! Will return many times in the future.
I had lunch on a weekday. It was easy to make a reservations. The service was excellent. Our server was very pleasant, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the Forager kale salad and it was absolutely wonderful. My friend had one of the fried chicken on a biscuit sandwiches, I think it was the Yukon, and she said it was wonderful as well. It's a lovely restaurant with a very nice atmosphere and easy parking in the lot just across the street. I have already recommended it to several friends.
The three of us split several items - I recommend sharing a few smaller plates and a gravy flight (with an extra biscuit or two because YUM). Fresh, delicious, and creative menu items. I'm already trying to come up with an excuse to go back!! Service was friendly, fast, and helpful and the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere.
Service awesome and attentive
Food so tasty and the staff knows the menu.
Go here you will not be disappointed!!!
Our food was amazing. I absolutely loved the chicken sandwich with sawmill gravy and egg! Holy cow, so good!
The food was not as good as previous visits. I usually love the Oregon Trail, but the Brussels and sweet potatoes were over cooked.
Be careful with requesting seating outside, much of the patio area is not covered from the sun and it can impact your dining experience.
First time there and they delivered! The food was amazing and we all left very happy.
Great comfort food with a twist. Would recommend them!
Staff was wonderful & the food was delicious! We went for a birthday brunch!
Great restaurant with awesome atmosphere and even better food! The Yukon is 🔥 and Fools Gold is a sure thing!
Boomtown is a well-themed and decorated corner restaurant/bar with a great outdoor patio and nice ambience. The biscuits were good but they were small. I could have got those at home out of a Pillsbury roll. If biscuits is in the name of the place, please feature them. The condiments (jellies, butters) were good but there wasn’t enough biscuit to try them. We had an over cooked too salty breaded piece of fried chicken on another small biscuit. The service was great. The young man was attentive and nice...although he spoke really really quickly and we had to ask him to repeat himself more than once. I didn’t try the whiskey but there was a great list to choose from. We walked the neighborhood and saw the art district and pool. It was a really nice gentrified area. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant for food but maybe a place or a drink and leisurely walk.
It was kind of loud in there, but food was amazing and so was my Old Fashioned.
Biscuits are a must! And the shrimp and grits are life changing! The staff and chef are a cherry on top of a wonderful meal/experience!
Excellent food with a great atmosphere!
Second time at Boomtown... excellent food and outstanding service. Everything was hot and delicious- from the biscuits and jam to my Nashville chicken. We will be back again!
The reservation process was bumpy, but because the restaurant was to capacity! The food, was excellent and service excellent. Noise level was high,, making conversation strained, but it was worth it.
