There are many pubs serving exquisite food, but it is rare for a great restaurant to offer delicious beer.
Here at Booma we will challenge your perceptions by pairing great beers of the world with the delicate and delightful spice flavours of India. Some of the world's finest beers have notes of coriander, cardamom, ginger or star anise and we will pair these beautiful brews with aromatic Indian dishes.
Our chefs know a thing or two about Indian cooking, having honed their skills at some of the best establishments in London. We will be offering the famed dishes of Northern India, giving them our twist, and using charcoal tandoori ovens to create unique flavours that can only be achieved using sophisticated cooking techniques.
By bringing together the wonders of Indian food and the delights of great craft beer we hope to create a new and thought-provoking food experience.
Booma is a very relaxing restaurant with delicious food, good service and if you come at certain times of day it would be much more relaxing than normal. I love this place, I and my husband love to break the monotony on Sundays and come to this place to eat well and different Indian food. Well crafted and very creative. Now, they are trying new vegetarian dishes and we tried spicy beetroots and it was delightful.
Booma never ever disappoints, food, ambience and service, fabulous.
Small but likeable venue. Not your typical Indian for sure. Good beers.
It's hard to tell which is better the food or the beer, both are excellent. Service is friendly and efficient.
Recommend booking a table as it is often really busy
Amazing food. Especially the curry and the lamb chop. Service by Kesh was great.
Very good food. Very attentive staff. Will be visiting again.
7 Sept - Dined at Booma with friends. Upon the advise of the waiter we ordered 3 starters and 8 mains (there were four of us eating).
We had onion Bahji, Ragda Patties and Malai tikka. All delicious and beautifully booked and presented. We then ordered Dal Makhani, Tandoori Macchi (salmon), Duck Kathi role, Chettinaad pork ribs, Booma Chicken curry, Booma Chicken Curry, rice and Naan bread.
The food was outstanding with the Malai tikka, dal makhani, tandoori macchi and chicken curry being the firm favourites, albeit all the food was great.
We will certainly return and rate this as a great local restaurant.
Great food and helpful staff . Will be recommending for sure .
Loved it!!! Food amazing, service amazing! Would definitely recommend!
For anyone in the SW9 area, a perfect place for an intimate meal. Whether that be with friends, a significant other or family, a good place for Indian food that isn't littered with ghee. Crown & Anchor pub opposite is one of my favourite in the area too - a variable choice of beers.
Great little eatery with lovely Indian tapas style menu. Great for beer lovers and nice choice of wines. Table were a little bit cosy for couples but not a big deal. Our food was delicious. Only negative being they oddly don't serve coffee but a small point really. Would go again and recommend.
We had another great dinner at Booma this week. The Daal Markhani alone would be worth the trip to Stockwell, but there are so many different wonderful dishes on offer here including the amazing softshell crab, and it is also fantastically good value. Go!
great spot if you want a personal dining experience with some craft beers
Fantastic food, as always. Great service and interesting craft beers.
Great food, nice and patient staff, lovely atmosphere
Delicious food and lovely interior to the restaurant with friendly staff. Only downside was that the restaurant was a little chilly on the night we went. Will definitely return.
Delicious food and brilliant service. Can't wait to go back!
Excellent food. Very tasty and of good quality. Great selection of beers too. Service also very good and welcoming
Great overall experience as always. And a really good beer selection.
Seriously fun vibe. Great food. Very yummy indeed. Very very good happy service. Had great time. Great beer
very impressed with the food and service, will definitely come back and recommend
Stumbled upon Booma after looking for a birthday present for hubby. Beer and curry, his two favourite things. We weren't disappointed. The food was out of this world and very reasonably priced, and the choice of craft ales was clearly well thought through. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and relaxed - he possibly could have spent longer suggesting beer pairings, but to be fair we didn't ask as he was very busy. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back.
Loved it! Fab food!
LOVED it. The food was so innovative, and the beer pairings were excellent. Great that they offered 1/3 pints so that you could try a variety of beers. Great service too.
Great food, nice atmosphere, slightly more expensive/smaller portions than your average indian but quality warranted it.
Food and service Always great, our local Asian restaurant
The food is awesome. They have come up with so many creative ideas to present a normal Indian dish. Papadum and Peshawari naan were the best dish that I had. Hospitality was good too. Would definitely recommend to everyone
We always enjoy our visits to Booma - the tapas style indian food is delicious and fresh, there is a wide range of beers to try as well as wine and cocktails - I recommend the spiced G&T
The service helpful and attentive
We love introducing friends and family to Booma as they always compliments us on our choice of restaurant
We are very lucky that Booma is a ten minute walk away from our house, because the food is constantly very good, we used just go and get able , but it is now very busy at weekends. So now we book a table.
Very friendly staff and service even when the restaurent is packed
Portions quite generous so don't over order although you can always take what's left home. Great lamb and fabulous duck rolls..
I took my fiance to Booma for his birthday. Everything was great. The staff was lovely and friendly. The food was absolutely fantastic! It was a surprising twist of the traditional Indian dishes with a nice combination of craft ales. Will definitely come back!
Always wonderful, our favourite Indian, outstanding!
Inventive, Indian small plates in a relaxed setting opposite a great pub. Food was paired with a good selection of beers and ales. Service was friendly and relaxed. Highly recommend this place.
As an Indian (and also a professional Food Writer), I have high standards for Indian food. Booma is truly excellent and puts an interesting, innovative spin on Indian food. Not a Korma in sight!
Booma continues to get better and better !
The food is delicious, the restaurant vibrant and the service always pleasant
Keep up the good work
Just not enough choices on the menu and no ambient background music
Great atmosphere, amazing food and service. Couldn't fault it
Loved it! Great food, very friendly and helpful staff, will be going back again soon!
Really delicious food and lovely staff - cant wait to go back
A new twist on an old favourite can often be interesting but not worth repeating; not so here. The food is not only different but excellent, very good value for money and the range and quality of the paired ales makes this a significant step above a regular "curry house".
An outside seating area means that it's also a great option for a warm summer evening and the excellent pub next door means that you can make an night of it.
The outstanding online review meant that we supposed we'd be a bit disappointed but all our expectations were exceeded (there were four of us) and we'll definitely become regulars.
