Great place if you have a dog with you. Special Menu for furry friends appreciated. Unfortunately, the people food isn’t so great. Tourist trap. Worst club sandwich ever. Bland salads, etc.

First time at this restaurant and we have nothing but good things to say. I especially would like to commend the staff. We interacted with 4 employees during our meal. They were attentive and were able to meet our needs. The food was excellent, and prices were fair comparable to what was ordered. Defiantly will recommend Bongo Johnny's.

When they say bottomless mimosa, they mean it! Not only is it bottomless they leave the bottle on the table! The food is excellent, the service is excellent.I will definitely return.

Absolutely amazing crab cakes! Our requests for lower table and chairs were exactly what they reserved. Our request for sitting nearest to the street view was also made with our reservation. No details requested were ignored. We appreciated our server, in fact, he was wonderful! We will be back to enjoy lunch again, and again. Thank you to all who made sure our experience was fantastic!!

I ordered breakfast, wife ordered lunch and daughter ordered vegan. Everybody was happy. Very glad I made reservations through OpenTable because there was a line of people waiting outside. We walked in and were seated right away.

Deeply disappointing! Whereas I have always previously booked reservations here for outdoors, because of the wind and relatively cool temps that were forecast, I made the reservation for indoors. After parking my vehicle, I purposefully left my jacket in the car because the temperature was so pleasant. As I checked in with the receptionist, I commented that it was colder in the restaurant than it was outside. I made a similar comment to our server, Sophie but, no attempt was made to reduce either the air conditioning or the ceiling fans. We specifically reserved for Friday because of the rib special that I've had on numerous prior occasions. Sophie was clearly a new server who hadn't yet gotten her routine together. The coleslaw was absolutely tasteless. The corn was so cold that the too hard butter wouldn't melt. I could tolerate those situations if the ribs were good, but they were awful! Rather than the fall-of-the-bone to which I had become accustomed, these were cut-of-the-bone which only ran half the distance down the rib. After the bone ended, there was a series of small "knuckle" bones imbedded in the meat which made eating more similar to eating watermelon. I doubt that I'll return again for the rib special!

Very nice waiter and staff. Like the nightly specials- food was good. Beer prices seemed high. Nice space and patio but lacking in any real atmosphere/mood/vibe. Good place to meet friends for dinner but not a real social location with an active bar crowd, at least when you’re needn’t. I like the new space, but the old location was more lively. I will definitely go again!

Whenever we go to Palm springs we stop in at bongo Johnny's they have an excellent view from their patios and the food is always good. Just like many establishments post pandemic they're hustling trying to get staff back in! So far they seem to be doing a pretty good job of it because service was pretty quick the staff were wonderful and the food is always delish.

We have a long history with this restaurant!! This is the second location for them, and such a wise move it was...TWO outside patios with a smaller indoors area between. They have a unique menu with really good food to tempt the pickiest of diners. The servers work hard to please and always with a big smile. Bongo Johnny's is a community gem and a regular go-to venue for us!!!

Very dog friendly, but you should know to get to the back patio, you must take the back stairs or elevator with your dogs bc they won’t let you walk in the restaurant with them. Bloody Mary’s are the best!

Rob, the owner, greets you and gets the visit started. Jennifer is a wonderful personality, attentive and is great server. Erica, in the kitchen, is an expert chef. We have visited many times....never disappointed.
