Bones Ratings and Reviews
Our entire group had a great time. We all had either the Wagyu New York Strip or Dry aged bone-in Ribeye. No one was disappointed. The table spilt the mashed potatoes, asaparagus, broccoli, and grit fritters. I thought the grit fritters were by far the best. Service was fantastic throughout the entire evening. The wait staff was attentive and very knowledgeable. We cannot wait to return.
Unfortunately are waiter forgot our soup and brought the steaks :(
And two of our steaks not Pittsburgh ordered had heavy burnt taste to the outside .four people one bottle of $350 wine and total bill was $1000
A lot for marginal food .
Sorry guys i heard so much good but not when i visited :(
Evening started out GREAT! Hostess was nice and told us our table will be ready in a few minutes. We went and had a drink at the bar. The bartender was funny and very friendly ( we should've eaten at the bar) . Service started out fine when we were seated. We brought our drinks from the bar and busboy brought the yummy bread. My filet was good and cooked perfectly. My husbands Ribeye was overcooked, dry and not tasty like a Ribeye should be. We also were not fans of the hashbrowns that everyone raves about. They were also dry. Our waiter must have been preoccupied with something/one else because he didn't check on us and just ignored our desert order. Maybe he misunderstood us. They bring chocolate with the bill so we ate that and went elsewhere for desert.
What can you say that hasn’t been said- always an outstanding experience. One of the best steaks you’ll ever eat and service is truly top notch. A classic high-end steakhouse. And I forgot how many great side items and non steak offerings are available (but get a steak!).
Bones exceeded the expectation, which is hard to do. They did it in two ways. My Lobster was slightly under cooked. When I brought it to the attention of the wait staff, the problem was promptly addressed. The surprise was the colossal Shrimp Cocktail that was provided during the wait for the return of the lobster. The second surprise was the choice of a free Champagne toast or a desert because it was our anniversary. My spouse said her steak was one of the best she has ever had. We will definitely return.
This is the second time that I have taken my wife here. We have had amazing experiences both times. The steaks are incredible, staff is thoughtful, the salmon is the best I've ever had, the tuna appetizer is wonderful, and the overall experience is one that is always fulfilling!
Our waiter was Lee. He was friendly, professional, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Everything we ordered was great, but the steaks were the highlight.
My wife had the filet and said it was excellent. I ordered the 20oz dry aged bone in ribeye. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare and asked for good char. The char was perfect and the steak was a perfect medium rare throughout which is not something I normally see in bone in steaks.
The other thing that made this steak perfect was the dry aging. I have been to some other restaurants where I have trouble telling dry aged from a regular steak. That was not the case here. This ribeye had a delicious earthy aroma, not gamey, but certainly well aged. I am salivating just thinking of it now.
I have eaten in many great steakhouses throughout the US and I cannot recall a better steak ever. If you are a fan of dry aged steaks and in Atlanta, you would be doing yourself a disservice but not going to Bones.
We have been eating at Bones since you opened in 1979. We announced our engagement to my parents 32 years ago and just this weekend celebrated our son's 29th birthday. Monroe helped us and was such a joy. He was delightful, quick and even gave my husband a present! We have moved to Florida but take every chance we can to get to Bones! Thank you
We always dine at Bone’s when we come to Atlanta. The only thing I was disappointed with was the Braised Beef Short Ribs. They were slices of thin meat. I’ve never seen it prepared this way. Loved our table in the wine room. Our waiter Ken made our evening special. We will be back again. I’ll just stick with a filet.
We used to love bones until this past visit. For we’re sat by the kitchen and heard he staff talking about the tables the entire time. We were constantly overlooked and spent two hours there... not because we wanted to but just long gaps between service. We also noticed that we didn’t even have a main server... he passed us off to a good runner.
Bones is currently rated as the number 1 restaurant in Atlanta and it didn't disappoint. The service was flawless. The meals were outstanding, but very pricey. The bone in ribeye was delicious. Tip for couples; get there early. We had our seating at 9:30, and with it being a steak house, there are primarily men dining there. After lots of cocktails, the scene can get a little vulgar. Luckily, they cleared out of there quickly so we were able to enjoy our date.
As always, service and atmosphere was over the top. The bone in ribeye steak was exceptional. Only minor flaw was the filet. It was a little dry and bland for my taste but that's just me. Probably should have had it medium rare. Will go back anytime I can. Hope to see you there!
