Food is exceptional. Space is way to small and cramped, too loud and we had a reservation at 7:45 but were not seated till 8:30. What is the point of a reservation? Can't even get to bar area and no where to wait while waiting for table.

Wonderful food. Period. Host stand was chaotic. Sat 30 mins late. Asked bartender for a bottle of sake and he recommended an excellent choice but turned out to be $175. I guess on us for not asking for a menu but everyone was insanely packed in at the bar waiting for their tables that it didn’t feel like an option. It’s an institution and the food is wonderful but most other areas need improvement. Here for a birthday dinner and my partner asked for a candle dessert but then didn’t get to chose. A little weird and on brand for the night but again, the dessert was excellent.

Have never felt so rushed through a dinner. Very obvious that they wanted to turn the table in under an hour. Sushi was ok. Definitely have had better

I think that the entire experience was very rushed and seemed to be designed to maximize the occupancy of the restaurant as opposed to the pleasure of the diners. The food was ok but overpriced and I do not feel I need to return.

I sat in the lounge area which is more for quick bites, if you’re there for dinner use the upstairs section. The food was absolutely amazing, everything was delicious. The service was very good as well. Highly recommend.

We loved everything about our experience! The staff, the food the ambiance of the place made a perfect place to celebrate our daughter’s 25th! I would recommend this as a great place for date nights etc. best crispy rice I’ve ever had!!

Loved this place so much the first time I had to come back, but was slightly disappointed. I made the reservations a few weeks in advance yet when I checked in a few minutes early our table wasn’t ready, we ended up waiting 30 minutes to be sat. Despite having a reservation! When I asked the host around how long it might be he said soon and walked away. Once we were finally sat the waitress took quite a long time to take our order and seemed eager to free up the table as soon as possible. I understand they were very busy, but not worth spending $$ there for the service. NYC is full of better spots with better service. Despite all that, the food was the redeeming quality and we enjoyed the meal.

Booked at 8:45, got the table at 9:40. Bar packed with people eating on it that made difficult order drinks too. Same story downstairs where we tried to move while we were waiting. At a certain point I believe you have to make a choice between service and quality or being a commercial packed place where people are boxed and you serve standard dishes like an assembly line. Bond St was always one of the top and still the food is good. 50 mins to get a table (reserved) not acceptable for me.

Reservation at 9:30, got seated one hour later. The bar area is TINY and crowded, you can’t even get something to drink while waiting for your table. Funny because they have a 15 min grace period if you’re running late, but then I had to wait for 60 minutes. Our server was also super annoyed. It used to be one of my favorite spots in the city, I won’t be back.

This restaurant was worth all the hype! It’s no wonder Taylor and Selena chose this spot for a girls night. Big eye tuna tarts and tuna crispy rice are a must! Freshest Sushi! Amazing drinks and service. We can’t wait to go back!
