great place to go either before or after the theater. they get you out fast if you tell them you have someplace to go.
THe food was very good, though two of the four orders came out without the requested bacon.
Third visit and it never disappoints. A note to some readers.....this is not
a "kid friendly" resteraunt, but they like kids. I have a 6yr old and a 9yrd
old and the staff did not hesitate to accommodate their every need. It's
on the pricier side but we always feel like we've gotten our money's worth
Out of the meal and experience. The steaks are outstanding, and do not
pass up the homemade mozzarella and prosciutto.
Love the Burata! Service always not great....
Food is consistently good, but noise level makes it a tough choice for dining prime time.i
Our waitress was a disaster, brought appetizers before drinks or even bread on the table and having time constraints due to theatre
we were a little anxious about finishing our meal. Antipasto vegetables were amazing, a meal in itself. Great homemade cookies at the end.
In the heart of theatre district, so very convenient.
had lunch at 3:00 on a Tuesday restaurant was empty portions were huge food was very good a little pricey should have chosen the pix fixe it was a much better value
Great and attentive service from wait staff and Manager. Food quality good, and no haggling if you need to send something back.
Every order we made was messed up from soda to salad to entree. All were wrong and handed to the wrong person. It was incredible that every single order was wrong. Bottled water instead of tap. Diet soda instead of regular soda. Salads all wrong. Entree correct but all sides wrong. We were betting on the odds of getting the next item wrong. I won the money when they brought 2 coffees instead of a coffee and a tea. We thought we were on a reality show testing our patience. We are still laughing 2 days later. By the way we asked for bread 3 different times. I assume it it is still being baked as we never got any. It made for a funny dinner but do not bring anyone you want to impress
Really no negative comments to say. Service is top notch, food served at the right temperature. Good wine list and specialty drinks. of course great antipasto bar, and great entrees.
When we decided to go to NYC to see some shows, we immediately made reservations to have dinner here. Although it is known as an Italian restaurant, it's not the usual Italian fare. Best Caesar salad ever!!! I had lasagna and I've never seen this dish prepared this way. At first I thought it was a pizza since it completely covered the plate, was flat and had 3 large meatballs on top. I even checked with the waiter (who was outstanding - friendly, attentive without being intrusive) to make sure I received the correct dish. Once I dug in, I realized this was the best lasagna I ever had although it was so large I could have shared it with 2 or 3 hungry people. My husband's veal Marsala was to die for and definitely save room for dessert.
We went for my husband's birthday - We had a reservation at 6:45 on Saturday. The place was packed . . . but by 7:45 it had cleared out. The initial crowd was off to the theater. The dinners were delicious - and the chocolate mousse was the best ever!
Bond 45 is the favorite spot for our monthly theatre group. The food and service are great and the kitchen knows exactly how to time a great dinner for groups that have to make a curtain time. This past Saturday the Maitre d' was particularly helpful when the size of our group changed.
We go to NYC once per year to see Broadways shows and we always eat here. Enough said. Very solid italian food excellent service tremendous location for theater dinner.
Very bad service. Some orders did not come at all. Noise was incredibly loud. Food was poor at best But not to worry the check came before we were ready for it. Not as prompt with service
The food was great--lots of variety! Steaks very well cooked and pasta and seafood to die for! Draft Peroni and great wine list! MUST make a reservation or you would never get in!
Great for after theater. Excellent selection of moderately priced and delicious food...making it easy to find just the right thing for post or pre theater dining.
Excellent gluten free pasta an added bonus. Knowledgeable and accommodating wait staff.
great place for pre-theater diner
One of my favorite restaurants, excellent food, waiters with personality, food is fabulous! Take my family, friends and business friends here and they all appreciate the ambiance and food. My wife is a dessert authority..and she praises the deserts here as delicious, praise indeed, try the Tiramisu!
The service was outstanding. Our waiter went out of his way to ensure our meal was perfect and our experience thoroughly enjoyable.
The signature dish, lasagne was outstanding. I've never had it made like Bond 45. Dish is so large that I'll have leftovers for 2 days. Chocolate mousse with the whipped cream is wonderful. Served from pails. Nice touch. Enjoyed the meal immensely.
Overcharged us over $100 for wine.
I came for dinner because I found it as a great lunch spot. Love this place...Beware that their signature pizzas can not be served but the theater dinner hour...I will remember that...But the people working here are FABULOUS..accommodating and professional. Food is delicious and fresh! Huge space...and comfortable...Love this place.
We were very happy with all aspects of our dinner at Bond 45! Vibrant, classy atmosphere,
delicious food, excellent service. Would go back in a New York minute!!
Convenient to theatre. A little pricey.
great service, and very good food, but jsut a little pricey. great find in the theater district, though!
We had a wonderful experience here. I made reservations online, and arrived there 25 minutes before we anticipated, and were still seated immediately. Our server was wonderful, offering suggestions, but never intrusive and hovering. But the real feather in the cap was the food! Everything was cooked to perfection, with more than adequate portions. We took doggie bags home and prolonged the experience the next day. A great find for our after the show meal!
What a great find when looking for a good place to eat in the theater district. Awesome food, service and ambience.
Maybe we were expecting more...the food was good but not GREAT (at least the four entrees we tried). It's a big, attractive, impressive, comfortable space on two levels. We were with good friends and our waiter was witty and charming and our drinks were very good, which definitely helped us have a wonderful time, despite just a smallest bit of disappointment with the food and the, what we thought, extremely high prices. But it was close to our theatre (Belasco) so easy to get to as soon as the curtain came down.
Enjoyed it so much we ate there twice on a recent trip to NYC. It was extremely convenient to our hotel in Times Square.
We had dinner here for our 33rd wedding anniversary with our daughter and her boyfriend. The food was very good. Three of us had steak and the forth had pasta. The steaks were done perfect and the pasta was fresh. We had the sauted spinach and grilled asparagus and they were wonderful. We had the Tiramisu for desert which was very nice. The menu is a little confusing. It is set up like a high end steakhouse with everything "a la cart". There is a large selection of anti pasta, but then there are also sides. This is a great location if your going to or coming from a play because it is centered in the theater district. It was a little too noisy.
Fantastic as always. Best pre-theater eatery in town.
Very good for theatre date. Staff friendly and food very good. Drinks great and very convenient location.
As usual the service was impoeccable and the food was very good although we felt that the appetizer portion was on the small side for 6 people. We choose 6 different apps.
while we all thought food was fine, we all agreed that it was overpriced and that there were many restaurants in the area that, for the same price, we preferred
Convenient location near Times Square and Broadway theaters. However, the food and service were mediocre, despite being as expensive as much better restaurants nearby. NYC has lots of other options, including top-rated restaurants like Aureole and DB Bistro Moderne in the same neighborhood.
The location of this restaurant cannot be beat. It is a very short walk to Times Square and the theater district. It is a large and noisy restaurant when filled with no breathing room between tables. While the portions are generous, so are the prices, even by New York restaurant standards. This is not the place for a romantic intimate dinner. Dinner service was a bit too fast for my liking as it caters to many people trying to make a show.
Great for pre theater, it's been around a long time and they know what they are doing.
The food was only good, but should have been better. The service was great and the bartender friendly and welcoming. Will come back.
Great place to grab some pretty good cheese cake and pasta right before a broadway show.
Enormous portions, quite tasty. A bit pricey for standard Italian-esque food, quite noisy, and the service was a bit pushy about multiple drinks, courses, desserts, etc. But they also got us out in time for our concert. A good experience overall.
