We had a nice booth with plenty of room for 4. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. They made a special salad for us at our request. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and expertly explained “super Tuscany” wines to us. We also loved the short rib meatballs as an additional starter. Everything was handsomely plated and delicious - from pasta to veal to seafood. The cheesecake and chocolate cake were very generous and definitely shareable. They added a generous amount of strawberries and whipped cream, at our request, to the cake - greatly pleasing the requestor. Finally, good coffee and a nice selection of black and green teas. This was an excellent choice and we will definitely be coming back again!
I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times, so I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, what I got was a total disaster and made me question my judgement. The burata caprese was up to its usual standard and very creamy and enjoyable. The skillet lasagna however is what ruined the evening for me. The lasagna was served cold. It took some effort to find a waiter to complain. Unfortunately, my waiter was no where to be found so another waiter took command of the situation and removed the lasagna.
Rather than offer me a new one, they offered to reheat what they served me. Meanwhile while the reheat was going on our original waiter returned to the table to say "I heard you complained about the lasagna". No apologies. Just attitude.
The reheat job did warm the dish, but the dish now became a skillet of soupy noodles, melted cheese, and mush. I ate it because I was hungry, but frankly what should have been an enjoyable meal was a disaster.
The waiter did not apologize or even offer a free dessert to correct the situation.
On our way, I complained to the manager, but frankly he gave me the impression that he did not care about the disaster of a meal. Sadly I will have to remove this restaurant from my list of favorites.
Good food - good service- nice ambiance-great location for Broadway shows-clean & maintained rest rooms
Food tasted great. Service was spectacular and the surprise glasses of champagne congratulating us on our wedding were a nice touch!
Spend your money on dining at a good restaurant away from Times Square, and taking a taxi to the theater. This place is rushed, very mediocre food, noisy, crowded.
Actually I was very surprised how poor the service was and the food seemed mediocre when in the past it has been wonderful, fresh and tasty Our waiter rushed us because we has theatre but the restaurant never filled up, he refused to bring a fresh salt shaker after explaining that the crystals were too big for the holes and we should just keep shaking it. We had to open the container to get to the salt. No pepper on the table or brought to the table without asking, and the server brought the wrong order, after we agreed to accept he whipped it away saying he couldn't leave it. There was a long wait for the replacement salad which had "old" lettuce where the edges had browned beyond the color it should be, and had no flavor at all. We will be looking for another "go to" restaurant in the theatre district. Any recommendations?
I found the food to be excellent. My friend was not as fond of hers. Our waiter was not very friendly and a bit of a snob, though he was efficient. I will definitely return for the food but my friend won't.
Chevy was absolutely fantastic! We go here often and it completely felt like coming home for dinner. Thank you for a wonderful night
Nice experience. Good food and great service. Would definitely go again.
Food and service were outstanding!
We thoroughly enjoyed walking out of our show and crossing the street to your restaurant! And were pleasantly surprised as to how nice and peaceful your restaurant was as there is ample space to spread out and enjoy conversation that we could actually hear! BONUS was our meals were delicious and our waiter was awesome. Thank you for making our Hamilton experience even better!
Went before going to see a show but were also celebrating our anniversary. Started off with a complimentary glass of Prosecco which was a nice surprise. We started with the burrata appetizer then had the carbonara and crab cake for dinner. We shared tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious. The service was great and even though we were going to a show never felt rushed and had a wonderful dinner. Great way to spend our 25th! Will definitely return.
Very mediocre. Seems like new ownership and management since old location. Would not recommend.
Found a gem with this restaurant! The food is delicious and well prepared! Server was attentive! Hoping to go back again soon!!
Perfect ambiance for any occasion and the service was efficient and professional.
Service was slow to non existent. Both of our dishes were not hot, they were barely warm. The chicken parmigiana was not chicken breast. It was ground "something" pounded into a flat pie shape. The shape is fine, however the "meat" had the consistency of something ground up and included gristle and cartilage. I expect a $30 chicken parm to exclude anything but meat and not feel like I'm chewing tiny pieces of sand.
To top it off, they reported to Open Table that we didn't show up causing me to respond to you to clarify.
Excelente servicio y deliciosa cena
The Carbonara was to die for!! The experience was really grear!!
The restaurant was very good; the food tasted wonderful. It's a little pricey but nothing too crazy for midtown. The only issue we had was our server was very inattentive and slow.
We waited almost 1 hour for our food... we waited 45 minutes for our drinks, the waitress told us the tickets weren’t printing then asked us again for our drink order. When explaining to one of the managers that we were waiting so long, he left and never returned!!
Finally another manager Came over and brought some food we did not order when finally our food arrived. He adjusted our bill which was the right thing to do. The entire meal should have been comp’d.
Our waitress was so embarrassed that she never returned until the food arrived and apologized profusely.
Not sure I would return on a pre- theater Saturday night.
Absolutely delicious food and courteous service.
The rib eye steak was so juicy and spiced just right that it would rival a steak you’d eat in a steakhouse!
The sea bass was grilled to perfection and very tasty.
We enjoyed it all and will be back again :)
The food was amazing, the service was great. The only down side was that the tables are close together so don't plan on any private conversations. We will definitely go back. Highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara!
I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. I already recommended it.
The waiter Julius was tremendous and very accommodating. The raviolis bolognese albeit very tasty was a very small portion , the Branzino is recommended.
A great spot for pre dinner show. Large menu and fast enough service, and a good vibe
service was very slow and we had a show to catch...
we had told them that ahead of time.
the quality fo the food was good; not great.
Old world ambience in the middle of theater district. A beautiful antipasto bar. The food is very good, atmosphere was great, the service was good but could improve hence the 4* rating.
The veal parmigiana was great and a very large portion so we shared. We also shared the carbonara with a poached egg on top which was good could have been hotter and creamier. Waiter never asked if wanted parmesan cheese. The appy we shared was the prosciutto, burrata fig salad was delicious. We also had a few bond spritz's which very refreshing. We had the chocolate mousse which is one of the best I've had.
My issues with the service stems from waiting for the waiter to ask us if we wanted a drink, in the reservation I wrote it was our anniversary which was not acknowledged and the parmesan issue.
We will be returning in December for my son's and my birthday and see the show Tina next door.
Pre show dinner with my wife. Great service, quick for the food and slow for the check to kill time until heading to the theater. The Buratta Caprese was excellent with the fresh genovese sauce on the side. The grilled salmon is cooked to medium to give it a soft and succulent texture while the skin is broiled to give it a very satisfying crunch.
The carbonara was a bit on the saltier side but the
Bond 45 is always reliable. It was exceptionally important for us to have efficient service because we had a 7 PM curtain and a 6 PM dinner reservation. Everything went smoothly. Our waiter was terrific and got us out in plenty of time. We will be back soon!
Good restaurant for a pre-theater dinner. Service was brisk and efficient. I had the salmon over a bed of lentils and whipped avocado. My husband had the linguine bolognese. The people at the next table (seating was close together) had some good looking steaks. We'd definitely go back the next time we have tickets to see a play.
Everything wonderful. Food and svc excellent. A little pricey for me, but nyc into consideration.
We didn’t think it was possible to get a really boring Italian meal in NYC, but it was. Huge servings of average to below average food. Do not recommend.
Cozy atmosphere with wooded walls and ceiling, italian fare, tasty modest size portions.
Nice drink menu generous desert portions. Very close to theaters and staff made nice effort to get us to our show with time to spare!
Great experience! So convenient when going to a play afterwards. Restaurant was spacious, very pretty atmosphere, waiter was very accommodating and all 4 of us raved about our meals. Definitely go and see for yourself!
The restaurant is a very pretty place but we were disappointed with our food. My husband's ravioli was served to him cold and I ordered spaghetti with lobster and shrimp and they gave such a little amount of spaghetti and I couldn't get the lobster out of the shell it was served in and it was so small. The waiter was nice as well as the place but I would not go back because we did not like the food.
We had a great breakfast and the service was great. The egg white fritata was great and of course the location was perfect- right near the broadway play we went to
Birthday celebration. The food was excellent, service amazing and ambiance great!
We had good friends visiting from El Paso so we wanted to take them to a good italian restaurant that we especially like. Well, service was abysmally slow. Kitchen wasn’t up to its usual standards. Some food came out mostly hot, others just very warm. The three orders of chicken parmigiana appeared and were very over/cooked chicken—dry, tough. The preparation and timing was off that night. The pasta with garlic and olive oil was excellent, however.
Though the food was good, I feel there are many other restaurants that offer a better deal with just as good fare. It is very pricey!
This place is a little treasure. Was not very busy which is great for reservations, although the food was top notch. the decor was very entertaining and the service was awesome. Great place!
