Juan was the bartender on my visit. Very friendly and efficient service. He made thoughtful menu recommendations and an excellent cocktail for me. He was very busy, but was such an efficient bartender that it in no was detracted from my service. I didn’t have to wait for service. I had everything I needed and I never felt rushed. Wonderful experience! Thank you, Juan!
Al fresco meal with my family!
We went here for our anniversary and were looking forward to a delicious meal. My husband thought his meal, Shrimp Alfredo, was pretty decent although he thought it could have a bit more flavor. I on the other hand ordered the Lobster and Crab ravioli and was very disappointed. Unfortunately I ate it, not wanting to complain since it was a special occasion, but the lobster in the ravioli did not taste fresh and it barely had any crab meat on top as described by the server. My husband could see my disappointment and felt terrible since he knew that I was looking forward to the meal and our special dinner. I definitely wish that I had a better experience as this was my first visit to Bond 45.
I chose this venue to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday with a party of 10. When we arrived, we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for our table (I booked the reservation about 3 weeks ahead), which was fine, because we were greeted with complimentary champagne and didn't mind the wait. Our table was in a semi-private room, which we were able to decorate & bring cake, so that made it feel more personal. Our server, Brice, was on point throughout the entire service. He was honest, made thoughtful recommendations, and attentive without being overbearing. He's a real professional! The food came out promptly, hot, and portioned just right. We ordered the calamari (single serving), burratta app, Parmesan wings, several pasta entrees, risotto (which my mom raved about the next day), salads, and salmon. Everyone seemed full & satisfied. What was really sweet was how Brice and another server came in and sang Happy Birthday at the end. Thanks for making my mom's day special and memorable! I'd definitely come back to celebrate another milestone. - Bri
This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had, even though everything that could go wrong, went wrong. We were initially seated next to a loud party but we asked to be reseated and the staff accommodated us very quickly. When our food arrived there was an issue with my entree (which was delicous) but it had to be taken away. I could tell the manager was not only embarassed that such an incident occurred but went out of his way to make it right. He had the kitchen make me another entree, even though I told him I was no longer hungry (i was stuff from my appetizer and half an entree I did eat). He also gave us a glass of champagne and gave me a dessert. The GM went so above and beyond to make sure I was good that I couldn't even be mad about the mistake made. It was a really good night and I would highly recommend Bond 45 to anyone looking for that great dinner out. This was my first time but I'll definitely be back.
Very large portions. Food was great. Servers were very friendly.
Service was great I think they should just add more vegetable selections to the menus!!
I choose this place to celebrate my bday. I'm
From Miami and here for work. I felt I love with the pictures on social media and read a couple of reviews. My friend and I arrived at 06:30 for happy hour we had 1-2 drinks and some bites the food at the bar was really good. We where sitting there and was no background music it was very quite no atmosphere of nothing. Then we move to a table. The hostess had no smile in her face she seem like she didn't like to be there.
We ask for a better table because what she offer was not good they go by what's next for the servers no for what's the client request or desire. I been to many restaurants around the world and this place has an amazing decoration but food wise and staff not so much.
We order an appetizer it was ok not wow.
Then I order chicken parmigiana and my friends and spouse order pasta carbonara.
Horrible. Not a place I would recommend or go back. No flavor at all I don't recommend this place.
Service was a little slow for a not busy night but it was exceptionally courteous and the food was amazing
View was beautiful. Service was busy. Management was ineffective
Everything was just “ok”. The server was kind but not very attentive. My Caesar Salad had a lot of brown lettuce which wasn’t appealing and the Chicken Marsala was very sub par. The bread that was brought out was very tasty! All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this place and I wouldn’t rush to go back.
Delicious scallops that were cooked perfectly: Excellent service! Had reservations and we were sat at a table for 2 with a beautiful view.
Nothing to said .
Everything was great
Great experience! Great service! Overall Just Great!
We eat out regularly and, while attending a convention in National Harbor, ate at Bond 45. Des, the bartender, and John Edwards, the g.m., made us feel very special. Rarely, at a restaurant, does the management take an interest in their guests. In addition, the food was great. The chicken parmesan is, indeed, a specialty. My wife and daughter loved the pasta dishes they ordered and the side of brussel sprouts was perfect. Both the cheesecake and chocolate cake were exceptional desserts.
This restaurant has beautiful views of the harbor and if you’re in a convention at the Gaylord it’s walking distance but the food is quite average and we won’t be back. The chicken Marsala was probably overcooked or sat under a microwave too long because it was like leather. Same for the shrimp Alfredo: overcooked dried out shrimp.
Wife’s Birthday
Great service with awesome food! Our fave!
Birthday celebration for my gf. The service was awesome.
I was very excited to try this restaurant with my boyfriend who was visiting me from out of state. We had horrible service from the time we were sat at our table till the time we walked out the door. Our waitress took at least 15 minutes before she came to our table to take our drink order. We then waited at least another 10 minutes to receive our drinks and informed her that we were ready to order. We also saw that other tables had bread and butter and had to ask if we could have some. Our order arrived in a reasonable amount of time, however it was brought out by another restaurant worker, which was fine except that our waitress took at least 8-10 minutes to come to our table to ask how our food was. I ordered the 8oz fillet medium rare. When I cut my steak I immediately noticed that it was entirely cold and rare. I am not picky and would have eaten it if it was somewhat warm. Therefore, I decided to eat my mashed potatoes and onion rings while I waited to inform our waitress. When she finally returned I informed her about my steak and she didn’t even apologize. She just took my plate back. My boyfriend ordered the 14oz ribeye. He said that it was cooked fine but the piece of meat was not high quality. Anyways when the waitress returned to our table, she brought me an entire new steak, it was cooked as desired and was warm/fresh off the grill. However, our server never returned to ask me how my new steak was in till I was already finished eating it. She never truly apologized, all she said was “thank you for your patience”. Lastly, the manager never came to our table or asked us how our meal was. I asked for the check, paid, and then left. Nothing was comped from our bill. Which I was not asking for but I would have assumed at least the manager would have came to our table. I will NOT be going back to this restaurant and I will NOT recommend it to anyone. Waste of $130.00 bucks. DO NOT EAT HERE.
It was my husbands birthday. But we didn’t tell anyone until later. The bad:
We were initially seated by a window where the sun was burning into the restaurant. The hostess did move us right away after realizing there was no shade to pull.
Our server was overtaxed and stressed.
The people next to us got bread, their drinks and food very quickly. It took sometime to get our order in
We got no bread, our drinks took a long time from
The bar the first and second round
The assistant manager saved the night with his sense
Of humor, cheesecake- after my daughter told him it was my a husbands birthday, and limoncello shots.
Been to the National Harbor Bond 45 and have never had any issues whatsoever. My food is always very good, my sitting is always very good - if I don't like a sitting location, the staff has had no problems locating me where I feel most comfortable. Even on times when I order to take out, it has been excellent.
The lobster ravioli is too die for! Must try and a great dinning experience
John, the manager, was so kind and attentive to us. They had run out of calamari and he made it so we look forward to coming again to try it next time. Beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view of the waterfront (sit in the back by the windows). The food was delicious, too!
Excellent service, very pleasant waitresses curtesy and pleasing
If you like Italian food out of a can than this is the place for you
I went out with a friend of mine for Valentine’s Day and had one of the best dinners ever. Our waiter was attentive and very accommodating. The food and our drinks were amazing. Definitely coming back soon!
From beginning to end our experience was amazing. I made a reservation 2 months in advance with it being Valentines Day and a Friday night and coming from out of town. My group and I had trouble parking because of an anime convention - but I quickly made a phone call and the hostess said no problem. We arrived at 8:05 to an 8:00 reservation for 6 and were blown away by the ambiance of the restaurant we didn’t mind waiting a few minutes because of our tardiness. To our surprise - the hostess walked over to us with complimentary Prosecco due to our “wait”. We’ll take it! We were swiftly swept to our table overlooking the harbor and Ferris wheel. AMAZING. Our waiter did not disappoint either. Lemoncello and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies still on the baking sheet. TO. DIE. FOR. thanks, Bond 45 - we will be back!
Beautiful place ... pasta was equivalent to Olive Garden.
The servers were courteous and attentive. The food was excellent. We definitely will go back.
This was my second time at Bond 45. The first being about 3 years ago which the food and experience was very good. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and thought about Bond 45. This time the food was very disappointing. The Rib Eye steak tasted like butter and was very thin for the price you pay. The Muscles were very fishy tasting and not at all good. Very disappointed this time around.
The food was delicious and the service exceptional!!!!! 5star dining!!!!!
This was our first visit to Bond 45, and it did not disappoint! Service was excellent, from the host table where they asked to hold our coats to the server who was very engaging throughout the meal. Valentine’s Day is not an easy night to keep service quality high but the team did a great job. Our food was very good and we really enjoyed the aged, tomahawk steak! As an added touch of class, the server brought around freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Thanks!
Birthday dinner with friends, group of 6. We were seated in a location that was private which was great so we could enjoy each other’s company. Definitely had a nice time.
It was a relatively slow night for restaurant standards, but we received excellent service from our waiter and staff. Excellent ambiance with views of the Potomac River and National Harbor river front. Food was very good, well prepared with excellent presentation. Wait staff was excellent.
From the minute we walked in we were greeted by the hostess with ‘Happy Anniversary’!
John Edward, the GM, came to check on us a few times, complimentary lemon cello and dessert. The waitress, Shanna, was very attentive. We were so pleased to spend our anniversary at Bond 45! ❤️
Very nice brunch. Fatty Mamosa add on for brunch at 20 bucks was a bit much on the price. Nice set up a nice atmosphere and view. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Very nice and just a few details perhaps to take it all the way to five stars but great for family and friends within a reasonable price point and a beautiful facility
Birthday dinner was amazing.
Service was poor though. Waiter was rude and inattentive.
First off, we were taken to a back room away from other diners. Then the portion sizes were really small. I doubt that I would come back.
