Bond 45 - National Harbor Ratings and Reviews
Bond 45- National Harbor was one of the best dining experiences I have had. They made us feel so welcome and appreciated our attendance at their restaurant. Our waiter was very professional and knew the menu very well. The manager was over the top energetic courteous and did everything possible to make our evening magical. The food was delicious - the best Italian food I could have imagined. You definitely get a lot for the price which is already reasonable . The ambience is fine and reserved yet warm and inviting. I will be recommending this restaurant to all family and friends and will be returning very soon.
My husband and I came to Bond 45 for date night. We were greeted with warm and friendly smiles and were seated upon arrival. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the restaurant and every aspect of the menu. The food was superb! From appetizer to dessert we enjoyed every bite. Bond 45 is now on our list of restaurants to return to and recommend to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Dined here on New Years eve with the hopes to have an amazing meal before ringing in the new year. We we're promptly seated upon arrival and quickly attended to but that's the only positive I have to say. We ordered the crab ravioli and the rockfish. At a cost of $29 for the ravioli the plate was presented with maybe 5 or 6 regular sized ravioli, barely any filling and were soaked/plated in a sauce that was too salty to be consumed. This was sent back and removed from our ticket. The rockfish, again, nothing special and was filleted but was full of bones. This meal was less than impressive. They did have someone making rounds at the tables taking photos but they could have saved the paper and ink because the quality was terrible. Nice thought but if you're going to do something then do it right.
First visit was the last...
Table they tried to seat us at was taken. Took 20 minutes to find a new table. Got to table and it was very cold. They had to bring a space heater to the table. Servers would bring half table plates. Then later bring other half forks and napkins and not come back. Food was cold when we got it.
That said, they were nice people.
Neat Place for upscale dining. We had a party of 8 that came together for a fine New Years Eve meal. Food was near excellent, choices abundant and service very good. A bit pricey with portions nearly European in size. This place has a New York vibe. Our first visit. Surely we will return.
Memorable evening. Fantastic food, excellent service, relaxing atmosphere. The crab ravioli was perfect and just the right amount. My husband had the veal picatta which he said was the best he has ever had. The gellato with coffee was a great finish. We we're very impressed with the service. Our waiter was knowledgeable and just the right amount of attentive. Definitely will be back.
We had an 8pm dinner reservation and felt rushed to order, eat and leave. Our waiter, while friendly, seemed preoccupied and anxious to get through our dinner service as fast as possible.
The steak we ordered medium rare was more medium well (no pink) and then other meals, eggplant parm and chicken parm, were cold. Portions were large, but the quality of food and service were definitely not worth the lofty price tag.
The waiter was very friendly and completely incompetent. Forgot water for some of the group, 3 of 4 of us got bread. He forgot the mushroom order.
He rarely checked on us and a dinner that should have lasted about an hours lasted 2 due to these delays. The food was VERY disappointing and some of the dishes had been under a heat lamp for too long. WIll not go there again and we come to National Harbor 3 times a year.
We were staying at the Gaylord to enjoy "Christmas on the Potomac". We checked menus from several of the local establishments and decided we'd find something for everyone at Bond45. The food was delicious, we had a table for 6 looking out over the Potomac and the servers were wonderful...very pleasant and attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We went away for a few days over winter break with our family and decided to have dinner at Bond 45 since we had a good experience in the pasta. It had a fantastic menu when we dined with them before. It changed dirastically and we were all disappointed not only with the menu but with the service. It took them over ten minutes and then myself to approach a manager to bring it to their attention we had been sitting there and no one had been over to even offer us water. I am hoping it was just a fluke.
Subpar at best. Bond 45 markets itself as a high-end restaurant. My first visit last year, it was very good. The most recent visit (12/27) it was not good at all. The service was very, very slow and the waiter (Aris) had no personality at all and mumbled when speaking. I ordered a Prime Dry Aged NY medium and although it was cooked to the correct temp, it was very tough and had little flavor. I eat red meat only once per week and it's usually a dry aged steak whether at home (Wegmans) or restaurant (Mortons, Ruth Chris, Prime Rib, etc). This steak was not a prime cut and it did not have anything similar to a dry aged flavor. Lastly, a bus boy broke several glasses at a table that was already setup to receive guests. Rather than reset the table, he simple picked up the large pieces. A family w/ small children sat down at the table minutes later and when we told them about the broken glass, the hostess and water acted as though they were put off because we said something and they had to reset the table. I wasn't the only person who was dissatisfied either. When I went to the men's room, another waiter was telling the manager about other customers complaining about the meat quality. Overall, highly disappointing and I will not eat here again.
Four of us met for holiday lunch. The restaurant kindly accommodated our request for an earlier seating than initially booked. The decor is nice and welcoming. Staff thoughtfully offered a coat check. We were warmly greeted by all as we passed through kitchen to our solarium seating. Fresh rolls came and after a short wait our waiter recognized that we had neither butter nor oil. The service overall was nice. Cocktails came as ordered and were reasonably priced. Our group enjoyed generous portions of spaghetti and meatballs, carbonara pasta, chicken parmigiana, and crab raviolis. All of the food was wonderful. The food was served perfectly heated and timed so it arrived for all of us at once. Sadly we were too full for dessert. Certainly we will return.
The food was great. I still can’t understand why a restaurant of this caliber offers its guests TAP water! On another note, I was not pleased with our server, Victor. We did not get the courtesies extended to other patrons - no bread, no inquiries to refill beverages, etc. A couple came in after he got out drink order. He greeted them, got their drink order, came back with the drinks & took their order. Then he brought our drinks. Guests were seated next to us. He took their order & brought back bread. When he finally came to us, I told him we didn’t get bread. He apologized then came back with a tray of baked cookies to offer — too little, too late. I also made this comment on the receipt
Food, service, and ambiance was very good but not exceptional. I ordered the risotto that was creamy with good flavor. My wife ordered the seafood pasta that was good not great. Portion size was decent and the bread accompanied with dinner was adequate. The service was a little off even though it wasn’t a busy Tuesday night. The ambiance was good with views over the harbor and the Ferris wheel.
A friend and I stopped here for lunch after I’d seen some good reviews. The prix-fix lunch was a fair value and my selection (salmon) was delicious. Service was above average and the view from the tables in the rear of the restaurant was pretty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Nothing like getting seated in the back room with absolutely no ambiance. It would of been nice as a first timer to this restaurant to actually sit in the main dining area and not on a enclosed porch that was just cold and uninviting. And, by being put back there it seemed as if we were forgotten. Had to ask someone to see a waiter so we could even order a drink. I've had better martini's where I only paid $5 for. Ordered the Parmesan crusted wings as an appetizer and they were real good. Steaks were tasty and well prepared but the mac n' cheese seemed as if it was almost out of the box and lacked in flavor as well as being almost cold and overcooked. I was ready to get out of there when two tables of small children with flashing toys and crying were seated in the room that only had 4 tables total.
If I'm going to spend this kind of money on a good steakhouse I will always stay committed to the Capital Grill, Charlie Palmers or Ruths Chris.
This was our first visit to Bond 45. Had a wonderful time. Our waiter was excellent, outgoing and friendly. Service was excellent. Food was outstanding. We all had a different steak, all cooked to perfection. We are planning another family gathering here. The manager, John Edward, was gracious and friendly. Overall our experience was outstanding.
