Bonchon Waterford Lakes
For a quick-service restaurant, the food was good, especially the bulgogi. The spicy chicken wings were good and they were indeed spicy. The traditional flavored wings were good but very plain compared to the spicy. The steamed shrimp shumai were relatively tasteless, but the pork buns were delicious. The crunch from the pickle and coleslaw with the seasoned pork belly and sweet bao bun make for a great texture and a wonderful flavor pairing.
Our host/bartender/server/busboy was helpful with the menu. When we asked how long they had been open we were expecting his to say two or three weeks. We were very surprised to hear they’ve been open for a year. Lack of advertising will do that. If it hadn’t popped up on OpenTable I would have never even know about them.
