We loved this restaurant, as a lunch option for us. I really appreciated the brunch menu that was available daily from 10 - 3. I had the smoked salmon open face sandwich, with capers. It was sensational. And very reasonably priced. I also like that this was a small and quiet restaurant and I really appreciate that a lot as well. Since I was there with my partner and we wished to talk together, not yell at each other as sometimes happens in loud venues. My only thing would be that the parking is not easy to find. In the end we parked across the street in the Bayview Village Parking lot, which I imagine many folks do. But we were told there is parking underneath the building that the restaurant is in. So having better signage, and knowing that in advance would have been good, and probably would get me to rate this as outstanding all around.

First and last experience at Bon Italia. Made a reservation online and were seated quickly. That was the last quick thing that happened last night. Our order was taken 15 minutes with the menu, after which we waited almost an hour for two mains and a salad. At 45 minutes we asked about the delay, and were told that most of the staff were offsite at another venue. Our food was served a few minutes later but honestly we should have been told when we sat down, to set our service expectation. The pasta was hot and tasty, but the pizza was lukewarm, so was obviously sitting under a heat lamp for some time. A disappointing dining experience.

It’s a nice little spot with reasonable food and prices We had the pepperoni pizza and it was good Slow service but overall a good place

The service was amateurish. When we asked for spoons to stir the coffee we were given wooden stir sticks. After a long wait we had to get the waiter's attention to get the table cleared for dessert. I was given the wrong order. The spaghetti pomodoro that I was served was bland. I didn't send it back as we had time constraints. The salad was full of rusty lettuce. It was not fresh looking or tasting. The Americano I ordered was weak. I had asked for half water, but got a full mug. It tasted like regular coffee and not espresso. We were being treated by a couple from out of town and we were embarrassed by the quality of the food and service as well as the prices, which were quite high - especially my wrong order which could have been made and served for at least a third less as it was certainly nothing special.

Such a beautiful European style cafe. We went at 11:30am and it was quiet and the ambience was light. As the lunch rush started to come in, it became more vibrant and filled with sounds of laughter and conversation.

Amazing! The place is very nice and cozy. The servers were very gentle and kind, lovely! We will definitely come back for coffee and to try on more of the menu!
