Food was excellent. ... service was good... ambiance fair... noise level fair .would definitely go back .
The beef bourguignon was de!icious, as was the beet salad. Lovely dinner with friends. Don't forget to make reservations.
Fantastic food and service. Their mussels are to die for. It's a must try place.
Fantastic food and service!
Great food and great service. I will definitely go back.
We've been twice, New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day. Both times there was no wait for our (reserved) table. The wait staff was attentive and we never felt rushed or hurried. The food is excellent and not overwhelming in portion size.
I did find the place noisy but the two times we were there it was quite busy, which I'm sure contributed to the noise.
I chose this establishment because they took reservations on Valentine’s Day. We were late for our reservation time, but were still able to be seated. There was no pressure to order. The meal was delicious and service excellent.
Excellent crepes and bananas foster! We can't wait to go back!
What a wonderful place. Love the inside. Friendly staff and delicious food! We will put it in the rotation❤️
We recently heard about Bon Ami and decided to try it for dinner. It was quite lovely and we will be going back again. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and we were impressed both by the number of people working the floor and that they covered for one another. We didn't have to ask for anything as it was taken care of by an observant staff person. We sampled widely from the menu: house salad with salmon, duck rillettes (a special that evening), seafood crepe, steak au poivre and a dessert crepe. The food was excellent and nicely presented. Even the coffee was good. The timing of bringing food to the table was excellent. We shared a lovely bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape, priced well below what other Denver restaurants charge. We liked it so much, we want to come back with friends and family.
We always have excellent food and the service especially the bartender is fabulous. We both love it there
Food is delicious!
Just a great place for wonderful food with an european ambiance.
Charming French bistro with excellent crepes, as well as other menu items. We went for brunch and had a lovely time. Food, service and ambiance were all terrific.
Excellent food and service. We will continue to go to this great neighborhood restaurant.
Great neighborhood spot! Wish we had gone sooner. Feels like you’re in France when you step in. The beef tenderloin crepe and beef bourgingnon were outstanding. Knowledgeable wine server too! Must go! This will be our new spot
This location has been a few restaurants over the years, so I was a bit hesitant to try Bon Ami, but I was pleasantly surprised. The previous restaurant was loud and uncomfortable. Now, it's a real pleasure to walk in. It truly feels like a French bistro. It's calm, comfortable and pretty inside. The menu has a lot of items on it. We both had crepes, which were quite good and were larger than I expected. I had a delicious crafted cocktail. Service was a bit slow, but we didn't mind as the atmosphere is so appealing. Will definitely go back.
This is one of our favorites -- small, intimate, quiet, cozy and very good food and service! there is a small bar area, an outside dining area and the area located in view of the chefs fixing your food! We had a special family dinner there with family that had never tried French food and they loved it!
This restaurant is such a hidden gem. You feel as if you have escaped to France for the evening. The food and service are amazing. I always get a glass of the house red, it is one of the best bargains in the city. It is the best value for the quality of food, five stars to the chef!
Good food, well prepared. Wine was overpriced. A mediocre Cal. chardonnay for $52.
The food was great, we had the croque madame and few different crepes. Service was a little slow but the staff was very nice.
Went to the restaurant for brunch with friends on a Sunday. Made a reservation ahead of time. The food was tasty and fresh and the service was friendly and impeccable. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
We've visited the restaurant many times and it is a go to neighborhood favorite of ours. It is casual, reliable. and friendly. Pleasant and interesting decor. The cooking seems to be Americanized French, but very good in any event. Street parking is a problem made worse by construction in the neighborhood. Off street patio is large and very nice in the summer. Tables are small, in keeping with the available space, and therefore intimate.
A nice restaurant with a French touch and good, honest food.
Wonderful food with a nice atmosphere. I would definitely go again.
Love the wine list. Menu a bit tiresome. Would love to see the chef get more innovative with ingredients and herbs/spices, using more fresh, healthy, flavorful options. Would appreciate a more current energetic take on French cuisine with more frequent menu changes (at least seasonally). Staff is great and very attentive, and wine list is very good. Appreciate the happy hour prices--gives us a chance to try some wines that we would otherwise not purchase due to price. Merci!
We had a delicious and intimate dinner at Bon Ami and we cannot wait to go back again on another date as well as bring family there when they come visit!
The first time I ate at Bon Ami, it was fabulous, other than a few members of our party had to sit in a window seat and it was freezing. The next time, most everything was good.
One complaint is , I arrived at 5:00 for a 5:00 reservation and the hostess made sure to tell me they were fully booked and that my table had another reservation at 7:30.... I was the only customer in the restaurant when I arrived. Poor etiquette.
Delicious! One of our favorite places for brunch.
Great food and good value. I have been a patron of La Merise for years; a restaurant under common ownership with Bob Ami. This place holds the same high standards.
We have dined a number of times at Bon Ami. We are never disappointed. The Parisien chicken was delicious. The beet salad was outstanding. The steaks were excellent. The restaurant easily made adaptations for our party due to dietary restrictions. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Denver.
We had a lovely dinner, celebrating my birthday.
I felt much younger than most patrons of Bon Ami as my girlfriend and I were seated, but not out of place. Neat cocktail menu, not too long nor too short. Our server was less personable than a Denny’s waitress at 1 AM on a Monday morning, that’s my only complaint. She Probably thought young folks wouldn’t tip her or something? Not sure. The food and crêpes are fantastic though.
Our second try for Bon Ami. Last year we had reservations for New Years but due to the low temps that night (2 degrees) we had to cancel. We tried again this year and were not disappointed! My husband got the Beef Bourguignon which was very hardy and rich; full of beefy flavor! I got the New Year's special of scallops and risotto. Super yummy! I decided against the mussels for an appetizer; we had passed a table that had a HUGE bowl of mussels! I'll get those the next time; maybe for dinner (sadly, my husband has developed a shell fish allergy). Berry Crepe for desert was light, yummy and just right after a large meal! My husband said the coffee he had w/desert was very good; a true sign of a good restaurant! A little pricey but perfect for a special date night!
Most of the food for our big party was really good. The herbs on the escargot were too heavy and the vegetarian dish was too heavy with cream. Otherwise great food.
We waited a long time for our food.
Great place and we will return again but probably only with 2-4 people.
Christmas Eve was perfect due to Bon Ami....outstanding food, charming and efficient service and
enjoyed not eating in a huge restaurant.
Enjoyed everything about the experience. Our waiter was exceptional and friendly. Nice to be able to have a conversation without having to scream.
Only food down side was the Crispy Chicken was covered with a sauce which took away the Crispy.
Very laid back and enjoyable
Bon Ami is our go-to for a great neighborhood spot serving wonderful French cuisine in a very quaint atmosphere offering very friendly, casual service! Their sister restaurant, La Merise in Cherry Creek North is just as great! We have recommended both to friends and have received rave reviews!
We had a totally excellent experience. Our server, Susie, couldn't have been better and made our dining experience outstanding.
Delicious! We're veteran France travelers and have spent nearly five months in Paris in the past four years and Bon Ami brings us as close to Paris as we're going to get here in Denver. We had entree and dessert crepes that were just top notch, right along with excellent wines. It was our first visit, but we'll be back!
