BYO mind and body, and join us on a culinary adventure down by the river – Bombay River.
Excellent food and service.
The best! Great service and food. Super friendly staff and fast service. Very quick on take out delivery as well.
The best dining experience we have enjoyed in quite a while. Excellent food, really creative and flavorful. But the best reason to come here is Pooja, the co-owner and manager. Her attention and guidance are really valuable when it comes to ordering Indian food you might not be familiar with. Plus she's witty and fun. Thanks Bombay river--we will be back soon!
Exquisite food and excellent service! What more can you ask for! A truly memorable experience...
First time Indian food for me and many times for my friend. Both of us agree, was the best.
Lovely meal! Great ambience. One of the much more nicely decorated Indian restaurants. A bit expensive but worth it for special occasions.
Great service! Great food!
Great service and outstanding food.
Great food and service. Owners were there to greet you and stop by during the meal. We are vegan so very much appreciated the many options available. Will definitely be going again.
The food is always incredible, and the owners are fantastic. Though we had a reservation and there wasnt anyone else in the restaurant, we felt extremely rushed by the waiter.
Yes! You must go to this restaurant. This restaurant is quite obviously a labor of love for its proprietor and its staff. As a group, we were impressed with our food. The ambience was quaint and inviting while also sophisticated and grand. It's a great spot for any special date! ♥️
Bombay River is one of our favorite restaurants. We know that when we go there, the food will be incredible and the service unparalleled. Sam, the owner, takes a personal interest in every table to make sure you have a terrific experience. If you enjoy Indian food, or have yet to try it, this is the best place to go!
Best place ever!
The food was beyond excellent and it finally put to rest trying to find a decent Indian restaurant near the Jersey shore. And believe me I have tried. The service was superb until they forgot to put in one of the 5 orders. I understand things like that happen but twice we had to ask them to stop doing their evening close up cleaning while we were eating. It was earlier than 9pm so they really should wait until the diners are completely finished and not stir up dust etc and making you feel rushed. Still. I guess it’s all about the food. I
Very good food well prepared for every type of pallet
Best Indian restaurant I’ve ever experienced! Wonderful team made fabulous recommendations!!
We wanted to try this restaurant based on high ratings. The food is just OK. Biryani was not authentic and tasted like it was just thrown together before serving. Chicken 65 was disappointing- had a sweet taste to it. The interior of the restaurant restaurant is small but cozy and nicely setup.
As someone who has never eaten Indian food, I was amazed. The owner was extremely pleasant & helped me decide what to eat. The portion were perfect & all the food was delicious. I would definitely go back again & again.
Excellent dinner as always!
First time to Bombay River and certainly will not be the last. It was excellent!! Looking forward to returning.
Bombay River is a favorite place of ours. The food is always fresh and delicious, prepared to your liking regarding spice level. The service is excellent, and the ambiance is upscale without being stuffy. Highly recommend!
Very friendly owner. Good service.
Always delicious. Hostess is lovely and the wait staff is attentive.
We always enjoy our meals at Bombay River. The staff is welcoming and attentive. It's warm and relaxing environment. The acoustics are good so it never seems too loud. We love the food; it's a great addition to downtown Red Bank.
We went there for the buffet lunch which was great. Food was fresh and tasty. Will definitely go back again.
Celebrated a family birthday. The food was great, service was great. Waitstaff helped out, especially by hiding the gifts until after dinner, and bringing out the cake (which we supplied) with a lit candle and singing Happy Birthday. Fun night for all of us.
We all enjoyed samosa appetizers, 5 different main dishes with rice, and 3 types of bread. Chai tea (regular and decaf) was a welcome ending along with our cake.
We’ll be back.
Excellent restaurant! Never disappointed. Always so accommodating with food allergies and suggestions.
Service was outstanding and overall experience perfect for newcomers to Indian food! Can’t wait to go back.
Great food & great service & atmosphere.
The service was excellent but not overbearing. Our food was very good, particularly the Coco curry soft shell crabs, chicken Tikka and samosas. We found the cauliflower appetizer tasty but the coating was a little starchy/soggy. Also lamb chops were very overcooked. But I can overlook these things to be able to enjoy Indian food and have some variety in our local restaurant choices. We will definitely return so we can try more menu items.
We went for the lunch. Had a wonderful experience. Host had a seat reserved for us. They had a a tempting menu, We ordered Panner Butter Masala and Spinach Panner Kofta each of the dishes had perfect amount of spices for flavor and tasted delicious. Bread were freshly and perfectly baked. A welcoming ambience added to our experience. Once should go and experience their hospitality. We are coming back.
This is our favorite restaurant in Red Bank. Excellent service, delicious food, byob makes it very affordable and I always leave with leftovers. Give it a try!
Wow, this is without a doubt the best Indian food we've ever had! We were a table of 6 friends and family, and everyone ordered a different dish, so we got to sample lot of this restaurant's offering. We loved the variety and the great taste and quality of every single dish. The staff was also excellent, and asked us if we needed more rice, more Naan, etc. This may very likely be our new favorite restaurant in Red Bank!
Not likely to return - first warning sign is jalapeño poppers on the menu under small plates. Next up undersized samosas a litmus test for good Indian restaurants were not very tasty or filling. The entrees were properly served with good rice but I did not enjoy my Chana bujee at all. The spices were off and the taste was bitter. With many choices in red bank I will not return despite the earnest efforts of the staff paying $30 for one small samosa a bowl of rice and chickpea dish the value proposition is not present
This place is so good it's made a convert of my partner, who used to say he didn't like Indian food. Everything we've had here, after 3 visits, has been excellent, and the servers are very friendly, helpful with the menu, and prompt. We noticed Saturday evening that several Indian families started to show up around 7-7:30 (we arrived for 6pm), along with children who could be noisy (pretty much the story with all restaurants these days), but if you want a more adult experience you might want to figure out timing. The fact that so many Indian people dine here is a great sign, and I can see why!
Always excellent . Best I Dian I have had in the US .
Wonderful Indian food expertly prepared, fresh and delicious! We’re already looking forward to returning for dinner.
First time at Bombay River. Food was great, definitely will go back.
