Bombay Club Ratings and Reviews
The food was excellent! Flavorful, delicious, and complex. In addition to the food, there was live piano in the background and a club like decor that provided a special atmosphere. Our waiter, Endreas, also made it special - and he made sure our kids had selections that met their tastes. The manager and host both came by to check on how we were doing. We will definitely return!
Food was pretty good; right after we were seated, the staff seated two businessmen right next to our table. There were plenty of open tables for this group to be seated at, or we could have been seated somewhere else. The upshot of this configuration was we were privy to their load conversatio for our entire meal.
we had by far the worst service ever in a high end restaurant,,, the waiter practically threw the menus at us, paid absolutely no attention to what we might need other than to ask if we wanted another glass of wine. I am thinking of writing to the restaurant directly.. Very bad indeed
Bombay Club was a very bad dining experience, and I will not patronize it again or recommend it to anyone. The service was extremely slow and inattentive. And the noise level in the room was deafening - conversation was basically impossible. The pianist both added to the noise, and was so bad a player that the music was painful to listen to. The food is good — but in light of these flaws, the extremely high cost is unjustified. There are many better choices in DC.
From the elegant entrance to the tie and jacket wait staff to the wonderful food, Bombay Club is a place to go for a quiet dinner, a romantic evening or a special occasion. The food is consistent and precise with flavors that are wonderful but not overwhelming.
I will and would go back again.
We celebrated a special birthday with friends here because Bombay Club is so festive and welcoming. Everyone was delighted with the crispy kale and other appetizers, and most chose an entrée from the tandoori oven. Great vegetarian options as well. Excellent cocktails and wine selections. The piano man played happy birthday, and we all toasted the birthday in style Thanks for a lovely evening.
This is a quiet, refined restaurant--the kind that's becoming hard to find. The dining room is very attractive, setting an upscale tone that suits the service and food. The service is respectful and efficient. Food is very good. It's not the kind of food you typically find a the neighborhood Indian restaurant, but more upscale, somewhat westernized versions. Great place for a quiet evening or special occasion.
Had a wonderful meal on a recent visit to DC! Food was very good: creative and authentic. The room was quite nice: sharp and dignified. Service was adequate: but a bit on the impersonal and cool side. Live piano was quiet enough to help create a mood but not interfere with conversation.
