Bombay Club is my favourite Indian in DC, I also prefer to clubby feel of the room to their sister restaurant Rasika. Service here is not to be outdone and the comfortable room, elegant decor and nightly piano make it perfect for conversation. I love here.

Food was superb and extremely flavorful. Service attentive but not overbearing. Great spot for a business meal - it's nice and quiet, perfect for conversation.

My wife and I each had different set 'Thalis' and both were excellent except for the Paneer Makhani, which I think is a lazy way to cook paneer and unhealthy to boot. But in other respects we enjoyed the food and the restaurant tremendously. Good quality at a reasonable price and not too noisy as many restaurants tend to be.

We requested a special seating (not honored) and our waiter was attending to two other tables at the same time which did not allow him to not be rushed or attend to us at a proper manner. Food was decent.

We were a party of four and absolutely loved the food. Even my husband who normally doesn't like spicy fare loved the fish and other dishes. The paneer dishes were mouth watering, and so was the chicken biryani. Service was fine and the ambience was very nice. Will definitely be going back!

Great spot for Indian food. It was nice and quiet earlier in the evening when there were few people in the restaurant, but got a bit loud toward the end of our meal. Still the ambience was nice and the food great!

I have had only the best experiences at the Bombay Club. It is one of the few DC restaurants where one can truly relax and enjoy superb food and impeccable service. A visit to the Bombay Club is like a mini-vacation. Strongly recommend the cilantro shrimp entree, thali platters, crispy kale and tandoori salmon entree.

Great meal, as usual. We arrived early to beat the Capitol Hill lunch crowd. The only downer was a loud table adjacent to ours engaged in planning their future careers.

Appetizers (First course) were great - very tasty. The main entrees were lacking in taste. The chicken tikka Makhani was flavorless you an Indian palate. The menu items are pre made and brought out immediately.

The food at the Bombay Club was good, not particularly special (except for the butternut squash samosa) though. We eat a lot of Indian food so we didn't find the Bombay Club to offer anything really different or especially flavorful. However the service couldn't have been better. Everything we needed was brought without even asking, and with a friendly vibe to boot! We loved the quiet ambiance too. So rare to find in D.C. All they need to do is step up the food a bit.

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. It's on the elegant side, but has a nice array of appetizers and main dishes. It's usually important to make a reservation.

Went there for Dinner. Never had Indian food so bad. Food wasn't even warmed up. Felt like it was served from a Salad Bar. Naan should have been in the oven little longer to cook properly.
Don’t waste your time and money here. They ran out of Merlot. Only saving grace is the appetizers were good especially Cripsy Kale.

Update: Someone from restaurant reached out to me, promising to fix cold food issue. If they fix it, would try.

First time visiting and it was for a business lunch. Great service and ambiance. Food was 4 out of 5 stars. I was hoping that the truffle naan was more “truffle-y” and the squash samosas are good, but not great. However, I would definitely visit this place again.

One piece of constructive feedback: I did witness a server cough into the air instead of his elbow. In the era of novel pandemics, i recommend ongoing food and health safety training for staff.

Always fun to eat here. Great food, vibe, design, and noise level is low enough that we could ave a real discussion. Just back from Bengal, so very nice to be reminded what a good restaurant this is.

I always like Bombay Club for its consistently well prepared food. This time was an exception, as the tandoori salmon and crispy kale were not up to the typical reliable preparation. Both were slightly underdone. Great service in a perfect setting.

As big fans of Indian food, we were a little disappointed with Sunday brunch. The setting is terrific and the food was good but not outstanding. The piano music was a bit jangling and discordant with the club atmosphere. Beter Indian food is available in the area at much better prices.

The food at Bombay Club is consistently very good. Definitely some of the best Indian food in the Washington DC area. However, the service is inconsistent and generally not as good as it’s sister restaurants such as Rasika. The waiters at Bombay Club often seem to have too many tables making the service slow and the overall dining experience less enjoyable than Rasika or other higher end D.C. restaurants.

This was my third time at Bombay Club. I was expecting good quality in food considering the name of the chef. We were completely disappointed with the food. It was very low class. I will never visit there any more. If they improves and let me taste again... I will think again because sometimes this type of reviews work...

I had a dinner last month and thought it was fabulous so booked lunch for my family and was disappointed at the inconsistency. I ordered the seafood thali. the salmon was pink raw, the shrimp was chewy and the fish in the curry was rubbery. so, overall disappointed.
