Our server Andreas was amazing! He helped us select appropriate foods, explained every food all of which was delicious. The service was exemplary! His attention to detail was superb. The atmosphere included a pianist too!
I have always and will always suggest Bombay Club as my favorite Indian restaurant in DC (or the world)! My dinner group likes to visit different restaurants each week, yet somehow we end up at Bombay Club once a month, and I know we'll be back soon!
Another wonderful meal at Bombay Club. Andreas was our server. He was outstanding and made the experience exceptional.
Everything was perfect but most of all the service was outstanding! We had both had a particularly stressful week and this was the first time we could sit down calmly and catch up. Wonderful.
Bombay Club is a very elegant dining experience. The food service and atmosphere are all outstanding.
Delicious dishes. A good selection of vegan options. Excellent service. Pleasant atmosphere with live piano music. It was a great choice for a romantic evening.
Food excellent, and tremendous value. Service was inconsistent this time - took a long time to take order, get food, and get check.
Our go to spot for authentic Indian cuisine in DC. The food is exceptional and everything we ordered in our party of 6 was amazing. Our server, Dipak, was outstanding, and attentive. It is always a pleasure to dine her, and we continue to be very happy to recommend Bombay Club to others.
I loved everything about this restaurant. Great experience. Amazing service. Delicious food. Thank you.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience and plan to return.
We were able to be seated right away, waiter provided us with the appropriate attention and recommendations, and the food was fantastic. The crispy kale and crab dish appetizers are a must try.
What a wonderful "grown up" restaurant! It is elegant, calm and comfortable in the way most DC restaurants are not. The piano player skillfully plays the old standards that lend great atmosphere to the evening. The service is fantastic -- very professional and not hovering, but there. You leave feeling that you have had a serene evening in a beautiful setting. And to top it all off the food is wonderful!
Call it a staycation... enjoy India without all the travel! The food was fabulous and the service was welcoming. They manage to make such complex spices taste so smoothe. You will absolutely enjoy the trip. Bon voyage!
Everything is great about the Bombay club —the food , the service, the atmosphere . it is lively yet not loud . the servers are responsive but they Never hover or make you feel it’s time to leave so they can turn the table.
Lovely ambiance and service. Loved the corner banquette. Very special dinner that we really enjoyed. Their waiters are real professionals.
Great ambience and live piano music. However, food didn’t taste great at all, especially considering the price. One of the curries we ordered was too salty. Breads were also very ordinary.
As usual the service and food were excellent. Our waiter Rinu provided us excellent service. He has served us a number of times over the last few years. We find his recommendations are great, he is very polite and knows what we enjoy. I would recommend Rinu and the restaurant to friends and family.
This is one of the most amazing Indian restaurant I have visited in DC. The ambience, the service, the staff and most importantly the food. One of the most authentic Indian food served in the most humble manner.
Dal makhani, palak paneer and Peshawri Naan are a must try and do not forget the sweet dish - Hazelnut Banana Kulfi with caramel topping!! 😍
Very expensive overall for the quality of food. For Indian fine dining Punjab grill is much better. Not to mention Rasika and Rasika West End are much better too. The lamb we had was massively overcooked. For the most part food was OK but for the price, just not worth it.
Beautiful location -- comfortable, British style. Really fresh food.
We’ve been here a few times. I feel sometimes the service holds a little pretentiousness. Food is always great which is why we come back. Love the piano player also.
The Bombay Club continues to be my "go to place" - for most special occasions as well as otherwise anytime - where I feel and am treated most "at home". The space aesthetics, refined yet understated "Club" ambiance and service, authentic down home food, piano music. All in all it reminds me of the several occasions I was fortunate to fly on the Concorde trans atlantic to London in an earlier time. Keep it up team.
Food was mediocre at best. There was no spice in any of the dishes. It is not authentic at all and the flavor is just blend, portion is small. We went for shake shack right after.
Excellent staff and i came in this restaurant and others almost 12 times and whenever i am in DC. Authentic indian food and the guy in the piano was very experienced person.
The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the ambiance was upscale. Perfect for a celebration of our parent’s Anniversary. It had been a few years since we’d eaten at the Bombay Club and we were very happy to find things even better than we remembered. Everyone loved the flavorful food and enjoyed their evening together.
As usual, food and service were great!
We were there for restaurant week and even though it was quite busy the service and food was excellent. I was celebrating my birthday and our server was very attentive and gave me a nice birthday surprise! The courses were delicious, especially the lamb appetizer and the vegetable dish. I love the atmosphere, comfortable old colonial style. I will be returning!
Very consistent and reliable. Excellent in every respect. Highly recommend.
Everything was very good but the waiter was trying hard but was not professional enough.
I did not appreciate that you could not order off the normal menu.
Customer service at Bombay Club is very special - the waiters are so hospitable, friendly, and professional. We felt like they wanted to make us feel welcome, anticipating every need. Our waiter noticed that we were adjusting to one dish that was spicy, bringing us a side of yogurt with cucumber to cool down and complement the flavor. This is a restaurant that has something delicious for everyone, and makes service as much a priority as the food.
We had a wonderful meal during Restaurant Week. The staff handled the chaos with grace and accuracy - it was a great experience and we would happily return for another meal.
Unfortunately, we did not know that it was "Restaurant Week" where patrons were limited to a preset, price fixed menu. Nevertheless, the food was fantastic! We had several choices in each category - appetizer, main dish, and dessert. Just wish we could have chosen from the full menu - maybe next time.
Our only complaint was the damn piano player - too loud! Fortunately, we were seated about as far away as possible from it, but nevertheless it was way too loud.
We had a wonderful time at The Bombay Club. The service was fantastic. We were a little disappointed that the menu was limited to Restaurant Week selections. We had hoped to order dishes that we read about in various reviews. Regardless, the food was excellent and the experience was wonderful.
Bombay Club is one of our favorite Indian restaurants. Always great service. Fantastic surroundings, great piano music. The French Burgundy wine was excellent. However, I thought on restaurant week that the serving should have been SPECIAL. A serving of rice and a bowl with lamb fenugreek was excellent in taste but not esthetic in appearance.
The service and ambiance is always top notch! But of course, the most important thing is the food - from the starter to the dessert, each plate is full of flavor, cooked to perfection, and appropriately sized. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - especially for a special date night. They will take care of you!
The food at Bombay Club was delicious! Everything was seasoned well and spicey as requested! The server was very courteous and attentive. They gave us a complimentary float as it was our anniversary. They also had a live piano player which added to the romantic ambiance. We'll be going back next time we're in DC!
We love the Bombay Club. The service is professional, and the ambiance is elegant. The food is great!
Food was amazing, delectable and dazzles your palate. Serene and luxurious setting with a lively atmosphere but still quiet enough to have a conversation!
The Bombay Club has been one of my favorite restaurants for years but the food was very disappointing this time. There were 3 of us and no one was impressed with their meal. It was very disappointing. The service and atmosphere was still nice.
