My husband and I never miss an opportunity to have dinner at the Bombay Club. There are plenty of Indian Reataurants in NYC but none of them compare to Bombay Club. The food, staff, service, and live music make it a wonderful dining experience.
Sunday brunch at The Bombay Club is always the best part of the week. Great food, attentive service and a wonderful ambiance combine to make every meal an occasion.
The food at Bombay Club is excellent, but there is one irritating thing about Bombay Club.... The shrimp curry that we ordered, which was very tasty, was $26 and had exactly 4 shrimps in it, and they were not that large. Just seems a little wrong to me....
Great service and ambiance - enjoyable evening out!
We went with a party of 8. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious.
My husband, daughter and I had an incredible experience and a wonderful dinner at Bombay Club this evening. Beginning with the cocktails - the bartender is world class and has developed the craft cocktails on their list. We tried a few and they were delicious. My husband had an old-fashioned that alot of bartenders end up crucifying. However, this was one of the best he (we've - had a sip) had. The atmosphere is elegant but not stuffy. Plush, white tablecloths, sophisticated decor, yet cozy. And the lighting just glows, making it all feel very intimate. The food we had was all fabulous and full of wonderful, complex, yet delicate flavors. I highly recommend the crispy kale and a twonderful chickpea dish that we had to start. I had the lamb chops as my entree, and as the server said, they are the best in town. The eggplant vegetarian dish was savory and lovely, as was the chicken biryani. The mango chutney is homemade and a delicious complement. We truly had a fantastic time and will be back again soon. Bombay Club is a true gem!
Ladies networking event
Excellent experience overall. Wife wanted something light to drink and she thoroughly enjoyed the rose water infused sparkling rose recommended by our server, Renu. I had a nice aged bourbon. We ordered the Tava fish appetizer - it was beautifully presented in a moist banana leaf and perfectly cooked in a spicy mint sauce. For main course wife had the Bombay Thali and I ordered the chili spinach Chicken....nice and spicy as promised and I’m glad I ordered the cucumber Raita. Overall, excellent service and very good food. The ambiance was very good with moderate noise level and piano in the background. Good value for fine dining experience and we highly recommend Bombay club. As a bonus we met our Congressman also!
Wonderful cuisine and atmosphere. The only suggestion I have is to better inform your staff about the menu. I ordered a dish that was nothing like the description by the waiter. Also, it was hard to track him down to order a drink. I tipped him generously, because the food was excellent. I wish I could have tipped the chef and not the waiter since he was pokey.
The food was superb and as always the service was superb!
Food was excellent. Naan is always great. Chicken tikka was perfect. Excellent service as always. Beautiful decor.
Great food - the lamb vindaloo was to die for and the thali gave us such a variety of foods to try in bite size portions (the presentation on the silver dish was also gorgeous).
Wonderful service (appreciate that they remembered my wife’s birthday!), great food (best samosas in years, rich and somehow creamy inside), and the live piano was great! (very nice slower rendition of Enya’s Miss Clare Remembers) Five stars all around!
Overall, a great experience. Love the green chili chicken! Impeccable service. Thanks
I wish you could open this restaurant in Orlando as this is exactly the Indian food that we miss eating. Service was awesome, loved the ambiance with the piano player and the food was sublime!
Great service and great food! We celebrated a birthday there and they were fantastic!
Great food, attentive service, and a great atmosphere for a relaxing meal.
I love Bombay Club. We went to celebrate a birthday. The ambiance is wonderful, the service is generally very good, the food good and the pianist adds a wonderful touch. I have been several times and would be happy to return.
Went for Sunday brunch. Loved the ambience and live piano. Nice selection of food
Excellent food and phenomenal service!
Great place! I will be back. The selection platter for two was perfect with two appetizers.
Consistently excellent:) Fantastic food and service.
Bombay Club is consistently elegant, quiet, and the food never disappoints.
Amazing restaurant with great food!
Outstanding service. Excellent meal.
Food was lukewarm when it arrived. Naan was very basic and cold. Curry was too heavy. It is a nice setting but food is heavy and old school. There are better restaurants in DC.
Too loud. Sat right next to piano player and couldn't hear a thing.
No chicken biryani... you’re a high end Indian restaurant. Unacceptable. 4 stars because I feel like a jerk giving anything less, but if you’re actually reading this, skip it. Rasika will cost a little bit more, but the food will be infinitely better.
Do better Bombay club... seriously.
Surprised that my vodka tonic had no sweetness at all. They added tonic but it tasted the same. Maybe they use a different type of tonic. Otherwise a fabulous meal!
I often dine at the Bombay Club when I come to D.C. The atmosphere is refined; the food is consistent and good; and the gin and tonics spicy and different. I dock it a star for value only because of gouging on a glass of wine ($18 for an unremarkable pinot noir).
Great and food and fantastic service!
Bombay Club continues to be one of my favorite restaurants, as it has been since 1990. Food and service are great, but I think its greatest appeal is the ambience -- the decor, the quiet, the demeanor of the staff, the fragrances of the foods. I think the wine list could use a bit more diversity especially in moderately-priced white wines but the one we chose from a fairly small number was quite good.
Excellent food, spacious table, nice white linen table cloth, not too much noise, excellent service.
I spent 2 years in India, and the smell of masala when one walks in the restaurant is the smell of going back there again. Wonderful. The choices of more spicy options are a bit limited, but still in all, the food is great.
Bombay Club provides a very classy experience in Indian dining .
It is the type of place to take someone for a special dining experience
Service and Food are outstanding .
Once again, it was an excellent dinner for my wife and me. We hadn't been there for over a year and are now planning to be there far more frequently.
Outstanding recognition of my wife’s birthday. Thank you.
We were celebrating a friend’s birthday. She had recently returned from India and was missing Indian food. We started with the Crispy Kale—wonderful—and, of course, Naan. Our friend and I ordered the Bombay Thali, a circular tray with small dishes of delightful vegetarian dishes—paneer cheese, spinach, potatoes, rice, etc. very filling. My husband had the Shrimp Moilee—he said it was fabulous. And even though we didn’t get the birthday music and dessert other celebrants did that evening (I didn’t ask why), the experience was nearly perfect. We’ll be back.
Everything was PERFECT!!!! This time we were there for a celebration with our 3 grown sons. The waiter was phenomenal, food was phenomenal especially since each of us could get something he/she liked and ambience was great.
We have a request. Our son wants to know what is the fish (which he loved) in the Fish Tikka in the Tandoori Seafood Grill. PLEASE let us know.
We went here for my daughters 18th birthday. The food was excellent. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect! The piano player was really good and her song choices were nice. We will be back every time we go to the D. C. area.
