Food is excellent as always and the ladies are the best
Wonderful neighborhood spot! Food was good, but the pasta special came out a bit cold. I will return, of course, but would like to see that one element improved. Our martinis were OUTSTANDING!!
Love the bruschetta and the Fra Diavolo! Good food and very friendly staff.
The food fabulous and service excellent . Everyone was so sweet and engaging
Authentic Italian cuisine. Our favorite spot. 5*
Consistently great food, warm service and old school comfort food... the real deal.
Always a great place to grab a good Italian dish. The drinks prices are always good too.
First time here and the staff was very pleasant . the food was AMAZING! We will be returning
Food and service was great
Old school South Philly charm with fabulous food and friendly service. We had the stuffed calamari, which is out of this world! We also had the veal special and probably the best linguine w/ red clam sauce we've ever had. Always a great time!
Everything was great. Wanted to try a new place. In the mood for Italian (to counter act all the Thanksgiving turkey). Had never been to a place in South Philly. Only issue was parking, the waitress did let us know that the nearby hospital had parking, but that was after we drove around and wedging into a spot. Otherwise, food was great.
Great Italian neighborhood restaurant! Hard to beat.
The food as always was excellent and the best service ever
Great authentic Italian food!
My wife and I had a great experience from the time we walked into the restaurant until we left. Food was outstanding.....Paula and Linda were great...will definitely be back.
Old school South Philly, just like I remember from growing up. It ain't sauce, honey, it's gravy. The fried calamari is the best around. Not battered, breaded and lightly fried, not all greasy and rubbery. The chicken parm was perfect. I've had the ribs in the past and they're surprisingly good for an italian restaurant. Nothing fancy, just good, neighborhood eating, Italian style. Super-friendly service from a woman who could've been one of my great-aunts. The only thing missing is the black velvet Sinatra painting.
I've had the ribs in the past and they're surprisingly good for an Italian restaurant. Love this place!
Excellent! Love the food and the staff!
Classic South Philly Italian, Near the stadiums. How youse doing hun? Get the clams and white sauce or the bbq!!
The Food was excellent! The service was really good .Our Waitress was awesome!
We've been going there for years and it keeps getting better. We'd probably be there more often if it wasn't so hard to find parking. The staff is exceptional and lots of fun. Needless to say, the food is great. Try their happy hour; its the best bargain ever. Great neighborhood bar everyone needs to try. We're going back in a few weeks; it's our place to go before a Phillies game. You should try it.
Great, old school South Philly experience. Good red sauce and pasta. Good ribs. And the fried calamari was exceptional! Friendly, sweet service too!
This place never disappoints! With the hybrid restaurant cuisine choices of BBQ, seafood, and Italian... there's no drop off in quality of food. They do all 3 well! Great for a bite to eat at anytime It's close enough especially before a Philly sports game or event!
Neighborhood I am!
In the 5 years I have been eating at Bom Boms I have always had consistently good food, friendly staff who go outvif their way to make you feel welcome
As always the food was excellent and Linda and Paula are the best. They go above and beyond to make your night great.
Been here many times food always delicious
Had chicken marsella very good
Friend had a beautiful salad & sandwich + peach cobbler...all wonderful
No complaints & he is fussy
Yikes! All about ‘local yocal’, but your patrons shouldn’t hear your “side” conversations (a.k.a. Complaining about the patrons). If the target audience is the aloof, then maybe they’ll keep on keeping on. If not, and they have to start trending just a tinge with the times, then basic service will go a long way.
Made a reservatino for 7pm on a Monday. Good thing we did, becuase all tables were otherwise full in this tiny, 25 seat restaurant.
The waitress appeared initially overmatched in handling the flow of 8 tables at once. Her busboy was initially of no help, but he became more engaged as our meal went on. The food was enjoyable, but a bit pricey given the ambiance & clientele. Overall I'm happy that I dined here after hearing so much about Bomb Bomb from many locals.
Everything was terrific - never had a bad a meal! Friendly welcoming atmosphere.
This is a great. S.Philly bar and restaurant..i had the Crab and spaghetti. Red and the white gravy...over linguine..out of this world...its there crab fest and runs thru August...all kinds of crab dishes...cant wait to return..there regular menu is so so good tooo...💖
Really good food from ribs to seafood! Great small place with friendly, excellent service!!
Great food n service. Would highly recommend to everyone!
The food, service and ambience are all top notch. The food is fresh and the servings are huge. Recommend reservations to ensure a seat, as it can fill up quickly on any night.
Sadly, the food was really mediocre. The mussels in white sauce were swimming in a tasteless water bath. My chicken Parma was over cooked. I don't know what happened but the food has gone downhill. Sadly I will not go back.
Great food, great staff. Had reservations for 6:30. Sat at 6:30 and had a very enjoyable time.
Haven’t been there in months and decided to try the rack of ribs for the first time. Delicious and fell off the bone. Service is always friendly, and treat you like family.
The food was GREAT! Antipasto and the rack of ribs were awesome. Love it there. Janet was our server she was wonderful.
I have eaten at Bomb Bombs several times, each time bringing someone new with us. Every time, there are smiles and congratulations for bringing them to one of the best restaurants that they have ever been to...between all of the visits we have sampled most of the menu...with accolades every time. Thanks
Food was really good. Mussels were plump and fresh in a rich tomato broth. Ribs fell off the bone and had rich, if conventional, flavor. Seafood over pasta was fresh and delicious. Place has a fun neighborhood buzz. BUT, service left something to be desired. We had to wait half and hour for our table even though we had reservation. And after we sat down, it took another twenty minutes to take our order. Waitress was lovely, but was clearly challenged by being the only server in the restaurant.
Basic South Philly Italian. Nothing fancy-just wholesome good food and great service.
