   It is truly amazing to find a restaurant of this level in a small town like St Catharines. The food was truly delicious the combination of flavors that this chef uses is truly unique. We were 3 people and ordered two dishes each and dessert. Everything was perfectly prepared and presented and delicious. This place puts to shame many restaurants in large cities with great reputations. Please if you are in St. Catharines or close by do not deny yourself this wonderful culinary experience.

   The service was fantastic. There was not one moment where I had to look around for my server when I wanted something. I ordered the beef tenderloin. It was one of the best meals I've had in months and I eat at fine dining restaurants regularly. The meat almost melted in my mouth, since it was cooked to perfection. I would definitely go back.

   One of the main reasons we went there was a buck a shuck for oysters for our anniversary. Unfortunately they were not available that day. Having said that, the food was outstanding as well as the presentation.

   Our group was greeted with the most welcoming personality by our server, Paris. Her cheerfulness, plus the airy, colorful, interior gave us terrific 1st impressions. This was followed by equally enjoyable drinks and meals had by each person at our table. Thank you for a memorable evening, staff at Bolete.

   Food was okay. Not great. I started with the pork dumplings- they were kind of tough and could’ve used more salt. My friend started with the disco fries and those were tasty. I then had the carrot gnocchi, which I enjoyed. My friend has the seared scallops for her main and she said they were good too. Both of our dessert were disappointing- her cheesecake had no flavour; and my blueberry mini pie was also bland and the basil cream it came with was too savoury. Our server was lovely. But overall, I wouldn’t return for the price. Plus, I’m out of town and it’s not worth the drive in traffic in my opinion.
