We came here after discovering that a nearby restaurant was no longer open on Sundays. We therefore didn't know quite what to expect, but we were very pleasantly surprised. Not only is the beer very well-brewed, but the mixed drinks are very good and the menu is excellent. Service was prompt and attentive. These folks have combined a very solid brewery operation with an equally solid restaurant ... in the most unlikely of industrial places.
Brussels Sprouts were outstanding! We sat in the Beer Garden which was very nice.
Such a cool atmosphere. Loved every part, especially the bookstore upstairs!
Such a well designed space. Beer was great. Friend got the Fried Chicken sandwich and it was great!! Super, super spicy! We shared the Brisket Poutine and I had the cauliflower- both weren’t great, edible but I wouldn’t recommend or order again. I would go back but I am not racing to do so.
Service was a bit slow and the food was luke warm. Manager was nice and the overall place was really cool. Like browsing the book collection.
This was a great experience. the ambience was very nice. There are several different areas of the brewery worth exploring.
Ordered drinks and they took forever and the mixed drink was terrible. I asked for a Long Island and it taste like they made it with nothing but sour mix and water. We ordered mussels for an appetizer and they were awful as well. No taste, no flavor undercooked(several weren’t open) and they came lukewarm. We didn’t make it past the appetizer and left. Won’t be back.
It’s hard to get the bar tenders’ attention, and the hosts can be either very nice or quite snotty depending on who you get.
My servers both times were excellent, thought.
The food is good, the outside seating lovely. Be aware that the noise level inside is extremely high.

The beer garden is gorgeous! Awesome Saturday brunch outside, and beer in a Teku glass was a wonderful touch. We’ll be back often. Also, the food is just as good as the beer. Very cool place.
The capital of ATL's new Brewery Row. Terrific setup with a ton of style and character. Belgian Frites could have been hotter, though otherwise a stunning new addition to the city's restaurant scene.
Such a great spot. Will definitely go again! Food service and everything was to notch. Great sunset too!
Ate with colleagues today at Bold Monk and was blown away. Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, attentive service and great food. Highly recommend the mussels and fries! Fries came with freshly made sauces… Truffle and béarnaise were amazing!
Excellent service, quiet area in large comfortable booth, good beer, good food…what’s not to like!
Amazing service, great staff, beautiful building and scenery.
Have eaten here twice - really like this place from food to service and ambience. Thank you !
Can’t judge a brewery by its food, outside of that, this place is worth trying. Might go again.
Tried Bold Monk for the first time yesterday and it will be a new favorite hangout. The food and service were excellent for Saturday brunch. Outdoor area is spacious and cute, and I can imagine even more fun on a late summer evening. The book store inside and the lounge areas are a nice touch. So many options for enjoying an evening or afternoon. Will be back!
Great food and service! We will be back!
The whole vibe was fantastic. My bartender Randi was amazing!
This is the third time I have dined at BM. It’s very simple..the food is really good, the value is quite reasonable, the servers are nice people...but VERY slow, disorganized, not on top of things and perhaps overwhelmed. It may be that there are hiring challenges and BM is understaffed...don’t know...but it’s now the same story on 3 separate occasions. I hope they can get that aspect of their operation improved because overall it’s a great place.
Awesome spot for brunch! Friendly staff, southern staples & an extensive drink list make this a “must visit” restaurant.
Initial seating was a bit noisy, was reseated to a much less noisy booth. The service was very accommodating and attentive. Enjoyed the surroundings and atmosphere.
Asked for a table of 6 on the patio and had to Seattle for a table of 5 down below in the “cave” where cell an Wi-Fi reception was marginal
Great spot! Love the vibe, it’s a place you could bring anyone to and have a great time between the outdoor area, library and downstairs sports bar feel. Just really has it all!
I’ve been here maybe 5 or 6 times before and have always had an enjoyable evening. Good beers, good service, good food, although it would be nice to have daily specials as the menu isn’t all that extensive for entree’s.
My only minor criticism would be that the dining area at the rear of the restaurant is a little claustrophobic.
Was one of the best in ATL!
Our server was absolutely fantastic! The food and drinks were awesome and we loved the beer garden!
Definitely will plan on being back!!
I love bold monk and I know times are not easy right now in the restaurant business but I feel the servers need some additional training. I was always taught no empty hands coming or going from kitchen to dining room when I served. I feel they don’t maximize their steps outside by cleaning tables or delivering food and filling water. I hope the service improves because food and atmosphere is great!
We had a great time!! Our server Nena was absolutely the best, she was so friendly and helpful with everything, and made us feel like we were all good friends! The food was delicious and Nena’s recommendations were on point. The drinks were all great, too!! Great prices on the flights!! Thank you Nena & Bold Monk!
Wonderful group meal with fun seating in the outdoor beer garden. The food was excellent- just be aware the springer chicken dish is huge!
This unique restaurant was great. We (party of 6) had requested to sit outside but ended up being seated inside. The only downside to that is the noise level.
The food was great. We started off with the cauliflower appetizer along with the wings. 4 of the 6 people ordered the chicken sandwich for the entree and enjoyed them.
Our server was nice but you can tell, like most restaurants these days, they were understaffed. Food and drink took a long time to arrive.
That being said, we will be back!
Great new addition to West Midtown with expansive, creative menu, fantastic ambiance, and the best beer garden in ATL. Our server was excellent, even if the food prep was a bit on the slow side. With restaurants “coming back” and a shortage of service staff, this is entirely understandable. Try it - great place for casual lunch or a family/group celebration. The beer is great too ;)
Go for the beer, not for the food or service. My sandwich came out even before our drinks. I ordered an Old Fashioned...it came without bitters. I wasnt expecting much as we were in a brewery....but it’s kinda hard to screw up an Old Fashioned. Our server had to be waived down everytime we needed something as he never checked on us. Almost 2 hours for a meal that should have lasted 45 minutes at most.
However the facility itself is very impressive and has a cool layout with the library and outdoor seating. Also the beer selection was extensive.
Drop the mask theater at this point. You can get a vaccine in 15 minutes at a site 2 miles away.
Interesting place, was excited to try. Drinks were alright but unfortunately the food items we ordered were greasy & too spicy. Definitely want to try again
Bold Monk is fantastic. The food and beer are delicious and the service is excellent. The indoor space is beautiful and the weather is perfect in May for the outside beer garden. The pizzas, fries and mussels are amazing, but don't miss the Brussels sprouts.
Bold Monk Brewing offers food for vegans as well as traditional food fare. The ambiance is very interesting - lots of different areas in the restaurant.
We went to celebrate Mother’s Day with our teenagers. Everyone loved the food and atmosphere. My daughter had the French Dip and she said it was the most delicious thing she has ever eaten. And I can’t think of a more perfect place for me—great beer, a cool book store and a beautiful garden patio. It’s out of the way for us but we will be back!
Yikes...the service was so hostile I felt like I had done something wrong for being there. The hostess did not make eye contact when we arrived or while seating us. She just walked by an empty table and pointed in its direction without turning around to indicate where we should sit. After that our server was nowhere to be found. It took 15 minutes to place a drink order (we would have placed our food order at that time too but he sped off before we could say we were ready to order) and our beers didn't arrive for yet another 20 minutes. It's one thing when the service is slow - I understand things get busy - but I actually felt like the servers were irritated with us for placing an order because of the way they interacted with us. We were packing up to leave after 35+minutes without drinks and fortunately a new server took over, so we did stick around long enough to discover the food was decent.
