I made a lunch reservation for two on MLK Monday. I booked an outdoor table. The restaurant may not have expected to be busy on a Monday holiday. There was no host to greet and seat us, the food took more than 30 minutes to come out, the serving staff seemed disorganized, and we had to rush to get our checks to make our next appointment. It took nearly 2 hours from the time we were seated to the time we got our checks. Staff was very friendly and had great food and drink recommendations. Fire pit on the back deck was nice, but didn't provide a lot of warmth. Despite the day's service, the food, the space, and the staff were excellent. I'll chalk up the bad service to a case of the Mondays.

I hardly have gone out to eat due to the pandemic, but after reading up on Bold Monk and seeing how they have been handling COVID-19 safety protocols, I decided to try it, and glad I did! We were seated far away from other tables; all servers were wearing a mask and there were hand sanitizers throughout the restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious and our server was attentive and gave good advice to my picky beer likings.

The drinks were small but excellent. The food was great. The service was wonderful. We’ll be going back for sure

LOVE IT!!! Which I lived nearby so I could go back in warmer weather and hang out in the outdoor areas. Also should've spent time in the upstairs lounge.

Great restaurant for an intimate dinner! We brought friends who were visiting from out of town and they loved the cozy vibes of Bold Monk. Our server kind of disappeared after we got our entrees so 1 star off for the service. Also only gave 4/5 instead of 5 becayuse when we ordered cocktails the cocktail I order was out so the bartended made me a substitute drink. Unfortunately the substitute was nothing similar to what I ordered and they did not ask preferences of what I preferred instead, and I did not like it- then we ended up paying $12 for a cocktail I didn't drink or want. Otherwise great food and great atmosphere

We love everything about Bold Monk and have visited frequently during my contract here in Atlanta. If you haven’t gone....... GO!

This was our first time going and it was great. The space is incredible and beer is awesome. Loved the food too.

Was great, the food and beer excellent. The only thing I wish music play upper level. I ask the person who was serving us about music and she said there were so many people music wasn’t play but overall was good I’ll go again. I’ll try to seat downstairs

Great food, great beer. Service was good enough, but not overly attentive. Slightly pricey, but you get great portions and food is fresh and tasty. Will definitely return.

Such a cool spot. Made reservations for 7:45 on New Years Eve. Allowed us to seat early. Waitress was fantastic. The staff was super nice. I cannot wait to get back to try brunch. Everything we ordered was delicious. The quad drinks like an ale. Incredible!

Went to dinner for New Year’s Eve. Nice to eat outside while covered. Great service. Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere.

Great outdoor setup for COVID safe experience!

Bold Monk's beer garden is the perfect cool weather outdoor dining spot. We felt extremely safe with health precautions and were kept nice and toasty from their multiple wood burning fire pits. The food was phenomenal. We enjoyed their take on traditional European gastropub fare such as bitterballen and mussels. Each person at our table sampled a different beer and everyone raved about theirs. We also ate with a 4 year old who was so happy to see their special hot chocolate menu.

Food and outdoor seating areas were great, service was very friendly!

Went for brunch...beautiful outdoor area! Service was excellent. We have a pet peeve about everyone's food coming out at the same time...well the four of us got our food at the same time and everyone's was hot and exactly as ordered. We had the latte's which were great, food was great as were the cocktails and beer. Only thing is the bloody mary mix is a little on the underwhelming side. Just tasted like V8...and with Kettle One being the only vodka option right now, it would be nice for the mix to be better.

We really like dining here! It’s an unassuming little brunch spot and also a nice place to grab a casual bite. The food and atmosphere are great (you have GOT to try the 1850 it’s my favorite pizza ever!) and they have done a fantastic job enforcing masks and social distancing to make us feel safe in both the indoor and outdoor space. So glad we found this local gem!

Great beer garden , but Host is NOT friendly — every time we have gone

We had requested a quiet booth downstairs. We were seated in the upstairs right by bar. Didn't hit the usual great atmosphere we usually have at Bold Monk. Love this place but disappointed we weren't seated as requested.

The beer was really great and the food was good as well although both items were on the heavier side. The fries and sauces were fantastic and would recommend. Overall really great outdoor seating and COVID conscious atmosphere.

We had a great time. Our server was awesome and had a very good sense of humor.

I had an awesome experience from beginning to end. Parking was readily available. The host was friendly and tended to my party’s needs upon arrival. Our server was also friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and made us feel comfortable. I ordered a cider, mussels and poutine. I would order them again. I certainly plan on coming back in the very near future.

Food was good, service was extremely slow, but that wasn’t our servers fault. I feel like they were understaffed for the amount of diners, so the kitchen was behind. We didn’t love their beers, but the beer garden outside space was nice. It was a chilly night and they had two little chimneys to add warmth, and we liked the lights too. We’d probably return on a different night...

Bold Monk is one of our absolute favorite restaurants in ATL! We love the food, ambience, location — all the things. Unfortunately, our service was less than stellar during our last visit. It took 30+ minutes to receive our appetizers and our server all but disappeared on us during that time. There were no updates or apologies for the wait — we assumed he forgot until they miraculously showed up. Also, I always order a Midtown Rita and it always has a yummy sugar rim. This time I ordered it and there was no sugar rim and our server told us they were all out. However, I ordered a second Midtown Rita from another server and she was able to get me a sugar rim, so I wasn’t really sure why our server told us they were all out. All of our food was delicious as always, just disappointed in the service as we had out-of-town guests visiting and it was their first time to Bold Monk. Better luck next time, I guess!
