Michelin starred Boka Restaurant has been a fixture in Chicago dining since 2003. In January 2014, Chef Lee Wolen joined as Executive Chef/Partner after the restaurant underwent a major renovation. Since his time at Boka, critics have taken notice. Phil Vettel of Chicago Tribune and Eater Chicago both named Lee as “2014 Chef of the Year.” Most recently, Lee was named 2015 “Chef of the Year” and Boka restaurant was awarded 2015 “Restaurant of the Year” at Chicago’s coveted Jean Banchet Awards. Boka’s food features contemporary, American cuisine, focusing on seasonality and sourcing as many local ingredients as possible. Pasty Chef Meg Galus joined Boka’s kitchen in 2015 and provides a seamless transition between savory and sweet, mirroring Wolen’s use of excellent, high quality ingredients that are prepared and plated beautifully.

Our service from the hostess to the bartender to our server was amazing. We had a amazing food and everyone was attentive personable and made sure we had one of the best dinner experiences in Chicago. Our waiter made sure we understood our drinks and dinner options and added a special touch to our desert.

This restaurant is my absolute favorite. The food is exquisite and the service is great. This restaurant is wonderful for every occasion.

Service was above and beyond anywhere I’ve been, even for a Michelin Star. Food was great with terrific wine pairings. Ask for wine pairings for each dish... the by the glass options are very good.

Service at Boka is always amazing, as is the food. Wonderful experience...and try to save room for dessert, their creations are always unique and delicious.

Just fantastic. Augustus was an amazing waiter and helped enhance what the back of the house was doing with the food. We couldn’t have enjoyed our experience any more than we did. Thank you!!

Couldn't have asked for better food, service, ambiance, you name it. Told them we were coming for mine and my sister's birthday and they went the full nine yards, greeting us with complimentary sparkling wine was just the cherry on top of an amazing meal. The tartar and octopus appetizers are to die for. It seemed like every other table in the room was celebrating a birthday as well, and it makes sense because dining here is truly an experience. That being said, prices are reasonable for what you get so I don't necessarily think you need to save this place just for a special occasion. This was my first time dining here and i can't wait to go back!
