Always great food. Great service. Our favorite.
We had a 6:30pm reservation but our table was not ready and we were not seated until 6:55pm. Although food was delicious, service and management of was not not satisfactory. I will be hesitant to consider Boilery for time sensitive engagements in the future.
My boyfriend had a birthday - this spot was perfect. We hit during happy hour and had space to spread out, the food was great (if a tad on the expensive side) and the service was killer. Will definitely return
Delicious food and amazing cocktails! I will definitely come back!!!
The food was very mediocre. The salmon came. It was a large piece but nothing else was on the plate and it didn’t look very appealing. We sent the shrimp back because it looked like it had been frozen and looked soggy. The noise level was unbelievably high. It was very hard to have a conversation.
What a delightful surprise. Despite its poorly chosen name—it sounds like a power plant—this place turned out to offer exceptionally good seafood selections at great prices, considering the size of the portions. We were there on a o day, which turned out to be $28 lobster night. Fresh and delicious, as were the crayfish (a full pound, heads on). The staff are young, but attentive and smart. This is the perfect place to go after Symphony Space/Thalia, or just if you want seafood prepared with imaginative sauces (optional) and in abundance.
My friend and I had lunch at Boilery UWS. My iceberg salad with grilled shrimp was quite good. My friend ordered a crispy chicken tenders lunch special. We were the only ones in the place. My friend had to send back her dish as it was not fully cooked. The server apologized and took care of it right away. Not a good showing from the kitchen, however.
Great customer service food was great combo is good to order waitress was very helpful
The food was immaculate. The server Raushana was amazing. Everything about this place makes me want to go back. If you haven’t gone before then you need to go and if you have gone before then you know exactly what I’m talking about
Excellent service and great seafood. Attentive waiter Easy parking Will return
I had a 6:30 reservation but was not seated until 7:15. They did comp us a bottle of Prosecco for the wait. Overall it was a good experience.
The Boilery UWS is a fun restaurant. The patrons on either side of us and behind were tackling huge giant crab claws. Everyone was enjoying them. Our food was good and fresh.
The waiters was very friendly and efficient. Happy Hour at the tables saved a lot of money. The cocktails were very good. We will return here and also try the other Boilery restaurants.
Great!!!!! Food was excellent
What a lovely restaurant. Really great food served uniquely. Each of us would love to go back. Service was perfect!
A real find for sea food on the upper west side. Very attentive staff, quiet ‘nooks’ for easy conversation. Delicious food well priced
Great food and service. The waitress was very attentive.
Great seafood lunch specials! Happy hour starts at 12pm as well! A must visit if in the area!
This is a favorite of my girlfriends and me now!
None of us got any of their signature dishes but we all enjoyed our meal. Our server was very nice. It is a loud restaurant. I will go back and try their signature dishes.
Brandon our server was the best!
This is the place for a traditional crab boil ( or shrimp, or lobster). Simple, straightforward, no frills.
New Year’s Eve
Went to the Boilery with friends for dinner. The place is very cool looking with a nautical vibe. Service was great and Alex the owner was fantastic. He stopped by and explained all of the dishes and where they get each selection of fish and shellfish. The "boils" are huge and fantastic. Crab legs, shrimp, lobster, crayfish you name it! They also have non-shellfish on the menu as well.Prices were normal and wine list was adequate, not huge but not overpriced either. Perfect for the restaurant and meal. Definitely recommend the Boilery, great addition the the UWS.
Staff is very prompt and nice. Food is delicious, it’s seafood so of course it will be pricey but the amount and size given is worth it. However, there are other items on the menu that are reasonable. Honestly! Definitely would recommend.
This place is what this area was missing, a seafood place! Raw bar options were good. The star of this place is definitely their seafood boil! A modern take on similar Louisiana low country boils I've enjoyed in the past. Simple, fresh and great!
The food was great. Went with my wife granted the lighting could've been a bit brighter but overall it was good. Their signature sauce was amazing and really really tasty. Grilled oysters which were really fantastic. Overall a great place to eat and would definitely recommend it!
This place is ridiculously good! Got the the fish tacos starter and they were perfectly tender and battered. The fisherman's combo with their signature sauce was perfect. This special combination of cajun spices and buttery garlic flavors really hit the spot. It really didn't over-power the freshness of the seafood, to my surprise. So if you're craving seafood, this place will satisfy that craving! Tip: go while their happy hour specials are available! Best around!
High quality, delicious fish.
Branzino is excellent. Nice selection of drinks.
Atmosphere and service was okay, not fabulous.
Will come again
Awesome dining experience. The food, service and ambience were incredible!
Come for the seafood! Stay for the drinks!
Can't wait to come back!
What a treat! So glad we found this gem. A perfect place to get together with bunch of friends on a rainy cold night. The seafood was fresh and delicious, drinks were well thought out and service was excellent! Can't wait to come back!
Fish was tasty but the highlight was a charming, helpful waitress.
Good grilled fish and string beans. Oysters weren't briny. Garlic bread was tasteless. Fries were just ok. Coleslaw had an off taste. Cod tacos were delicious. The place isn't very pretty. There are a couple of small rooms with no atmosphere. Service was quite good, though, as was my bourbon specialty cocktail.
I liked the grilled fish. The oysters were fresh but had little briny taste. The garlic bread was made from cheap store-bought Italian bread. The cod tacos were excellent. The fries just ok. The mixed fish and chips were tasty but got cold pretty quickly. I liked their bourbon special cocktail with banana liquor which gave me a nice buzz. The happy hour wine was fine. Service was very smily even though our waiter forgot my delicious string beans and coleslaw. But I only to wait a minute or two for them to come. I have mixed feelings about this place.
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Boilery. We were seated in the downstairs area which was quiet and pleasant. The decor is a bit like a upscaled new england sea shanty.
Cocktails were well thought out. The one Inordered with mezcal was excellent and I appreciated our server checking in about the smokiness of it as I imagine many people order it having not had mezcal before and are a bit taken aback.
Our server was able to help us us navigate the rather large menu which was helpful. The shishito pepper appetizer was very good and large enough to split between two people. My husband ordered the steamed fisherman's combo which was a very large plate of crab and shrimp which we enjoyed very much (and he appreciated the accompanying bib and gloves!) I ordered the lobster rill which was a bit of a disappointment. The roll was rather small and the bread was incredibly stale - so much so that the roll completely fell apart when I picked it up. I just ended up eating the lobster itself which was tasty but not something I'd order again. The waffle fries were great though.
Overall we would definately return. Service was excellent throughout, the noise level downstairs was very low so we were able to talk throughout, and the food was very good - next time I will stick to the steamed items though.
Some of the most delicious food around. Great service, easy to get in and out of, wonderful happy hour. One of our favorite neighborhood spots.
Might work for some people but not us. The sign on the front- bright red neon look was the first clue; just doesn't say "seafood restaurant". Inside had the feel of a sports bar/chain restaurant. The chairs were hard and uncomfortable. The menu on the other hand had the prices of an expensive mediterranean restaurant. The menu was confusing; you had to pick a seafood, pay by the pound, choose a sauce and choose a spice level. I chose shrimp. Our food arrived in plastic bags, the shrimp was swimming in a pool of tasteless sauce at the bottom of the bag. We were given plastic gloves to eat with. We had to pick our food out of the sauce pool, peel it, dunk it back in the sauce for flavor, then eat it. If you like the feeling of dumpster diving for your food - this is the place for you. The women next to us had a gigantic cocktail they were sharing, they were happy. The wait staff was extremely nice.
The seafood was delicious! I live nearby and am so excited to go back again soon!
After being seated for 15 min, we hadn’t been served any water or had any drink or food orders taken. We ended up leaving due to the lack of service.
