Boiler House Restaurant at The Hydro Majestic Blue Mountains
We had the two course meal for $49 mid week and found it to be great value. The menu was comprehensive and the meals delicious and generous servings. Highly recommend this restaurant with a view. Reasonably priced drinks as well. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Take the drive you won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic service and food as per usual! Could not flaw the staff or balance of flavours in each dish. Cannot wait to come back!
When arrived, I had to wait until two employees stop talking to each other. Then my name was not found on the system. I was asked were I want to sit, even so I had it requested online. The waiter (Philippine man) outstanding service. Drinks came within one minute. Ordered food (3 people, one fish and two pork cutlets) did not come together. Sea food was good. Crumbed pork cutlets were old, dry and one tasted off. We were asked if we ordered desert online? Why was I asked online for a special reason, visiting you? PS It was my birthday. Had a lovely family catch up, the only thing that spoilt the whole experience was the flys and blow flys, if you can get rid of them, it would have been wonderful.
Food was amazing , service and staff excellent and loved the view
Beautiful setting, great service. We asked for a table with a view and we had a great location over looking the valley.
Great foods and good service! Just that a little overpowering with the garlic in the foods. Even thought we are garlic lovers still think that is a bit too much!
The positive things to mention are the location, and the quality of the food, both very good.
Food quantity on each course more than sufficient, would have been happier with less. Two courses sufficient.
Only negetive was the backgroumd noise from the general conversation was a bit loud.
Overall though we enjoyed our experience eating at the Boiler House.
Great venue for a friendly catch up with old friends for Saturday lunch!
Friendly wait service and delicious food served in a warm and cosy environment with a scenic outlook.
Great position overlooking valley, menu choices ok, but nothing special. Difficult to communicate with service staff due to language issues, got wrong drink and had to point to meal choice on menu.
My wife and I visited the Boiler House for her birthday lunch with our 4 y/o son. The atmosphere and venue is wondeful (amazing views), but the atmosphere/volume in the venue was too loud for our 4 y/o who became a bit overwhelmed. Fortunately, the venue allowed us to eat outside (at our request) and brought all our food/drinks and cutlery outside for us.
The food was wonderful with meal sizes quite a degree larger than expected (a pizza could safely feed 2). meal prices were not cheap but appropriate for the quality and portion size.
I would happily return to the venue due to the food, views/atmosphere and service.
Most definitely recommend the Boiler House...excellent food and service. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Great service great food great location 10/10
Look forward to returning
Great place. Lovely views. Food was amazing. Worth the money that you paid for. Fantastic service.
Fantastic food and service. A beautifull view, we’ll be back again.
Great place for a relaxed long lunch overlooking the fabulous valley.
Just an outstanding place. Absolutely worth the visit. Food was fantastic.
Lovely service and meal even though it was super busy. Would go back again for sure.
Excellent two-course lunch with generous portions. Very good service and amazing views across the
valley. Very cosy and warm.
Lovely views, food was really well done, worth the money for a special occasion, the only down point might be that the chairs are not the most comfortable, relaxed atmosphere
We had a lovely girls lunch at the boiler house, food and service was good. The only thing was it was so noisy it was a bit hard to chat. Also it was a lovely day and when the sun came around it was very hot coming through the glass. Perhaps an awning on the outside of the building would help.
Great staff and service .
The food was outstanding, the view spectacular. We particularly enjoyed not being rushed through our meal.
Amazing service, wonderful view and the best food we have had for a very long time. We’ll be back for sure.
Excellent food, great service. Highly recommended
We were very pleased that our request for a window seat was granted. The wait staff and service was very friendly and attentive. The salads were delicious, however both the pizzas we ordered had extremely soggy (almost wet) bases and were disappointing. The Aperol Spritz was the best we'd ever had.
We were lucky enough to have a window table that added to our experience. We had a lovely 2 course lunch, the food having lovely flavour. The wait staff were very friendly. It was a really nice way to spend one of our days holidaying in the Blue Mountains, with our best food experience here.
A bit too noisy, chairs not comfortable especially with the table adjustment knob that hits you in the knees.
Food is subpar, especially for the price. Layout of restaurant does not take advantage of the locations views instead it was over packed. Booked because of the reputation of the Hydro Majestic but it was a disappointing experience.
The food was sub-standard and the service wasn’t great (admittedly, it was very busy on the day we were there but the staff didn’t seem to know the layout of the restaurant or which tables had ordered etc.). The location and the view are incredible, but I fear that the food quality and service suffers because this is the sole reason people visit and there aren’t any other fine dining options close by.
My wife and I had a wonderful lunch at the Hydro Majestic Boiler House. The staff were very friendly and food was very good. We would definitely revisit there again.
The venue is quite good and the food is very good with a good choice of plates. The staff are helpful and friendly BUT the service is excruciatingly slow. We went to the cafe next door for the final coffee as we could not wait for one here. The final order came in after 1 hour, even though I asked the waitress to please bring our desserts in as quickly as possible. I realize that people like to wait and talk for a while but watching other people served before us even though they had arrived after us was not appreciated.
I would recommend this place IF you have a lot of time on your hands.
Customers should be asked if they want quick/slow service according to their needs!!!
Lovely view with nice ambience. The food was generally quite good. The service was prompt.
Food and service was outstanding, throughly recommended
View was panoramic overlooking the Megalong Valley that was the best part and the exceptional customer service the food however was very poor the Gnocchi was bland and the pumpkin watery the tiramisu was still frozen and you could tell it was a slab cake cut up extremely disappointing especially when we were looking forward to it.
Great food wines and service. A little noisy but amazing views.
We enjoyed the view, the staff and the meals and we love the building atmosphere. Thank you
Beautiful views, meals superb, staff fantastic. Would highly recommend dining here when in the Blue Mountains
Views are amazing.
One of the main Entrees on the set menu wasn’t even available 1/2 hr after opening ?
Side dish was forgotten then turned up over cooked and not edible
Aranchini balls are great
Food was not as good as we thought it would be given the location
The view was amazing. The beef cheeks melted in my mouth. Very generous servings. Friendly staff but we did have to seek them out for drinks (in three occasions). They were preparing for a wedding that afternoon which seemed to be the reason for lack in attention . Would definitely return
The staff were lovely attentive but not overly so, just right. The food was beautiful but serve was more than I could eat. We were seated by the window which was lovely. I would go back again.
