A bit overpriced but wonderful food. I know the young folk like it noisy, but I don't. Go early if you want less noise. The chocolate flan
Excellent food and wait staff. All elements from presentation to service to the finely cooked meal (butternut squash pasta, Yum!) were exemplary. This was my 2nd time for dinner and I highly recommend for friends and comfortable conversation.
waitress darling! food delish! love the decor and wishing my kitchen looked like that
Great Sunday brunch. Love the breakfast platter!
I had mentioned that I was bringing a friend to celebrate her birthday. Got a special response from Stella telling me that they would help me celebrate with some bubbles. Manager/staff were very friendly accomodating and gracious. Will definitely go back.
Another great meal at BOHO - tried items hadn't had before - all were excellent, imaginative, so delicious - tuna tartare, special turkey/duck appetizer offered that night. For entrees we had the pappardelle, port chop and the special of the night - shortrib with an amazing mushroom something that was way too good !! Going to have to try the steak - it went by and looked amazing .. then again I can barely control myself from wanting to order the Branzino (whole fish) every time. Looking forward to our next dining experience at BOHO. This time we brought out own bottle of wine - the $20 corkage fee is so appreciated and reasonable.
I ate at BoHo's three months ago and absolutely loved the intimacy of the place and what was even better was the great service, friendly staff, and outstanding food. I was in town again this weekend for a meeting and I want to go back. In face I had the Branzino again because it was outstanding. It was grilled, cooked with the head on it like it should be done for flavor and again I was very happy. Others in my party had the pork chops and one had red meat and they were also extremely happy. The ice cream at the end was a perfect way to end a meal, and I should add that the wine list, although not large, was well chosen.
Out second time there and it was excellent again! We had the seacutery platter and the other dishes were very good too. It is quickly turning into a favorite place of ours!
From start to finish the food was stellar. Not overly fussy. Ingredients that were odd friends that made magic together. Dessert was a huge surprise. To have great dinner food AND fine desserts under on roof. Kind of show stopping. Environmental was warm unstated and welcoming. Perfect place, people and food.
Visited Boho for a rainy Sunday brunch with my husband, and were very pleased with all aspects of the experience. The restaurant is cozy but not too casual and with elegant decorating touches. The Hubster had the house omelet, which he liked very much. I had the duck confit crepe, which was crazy delicious and I would have a difficult time ordering anything else on the menu when I return. The side salad was more creative than the usual side salad, and the potatoes were nicely done--crispy and soft in equal measure. The wine list was also well-curated. I definitely recommend Boho for brunch, and am looking forward to returning for dinner sometime soon.
Food was excellent. $48 was good value for five-course price-fixed menu. service was a bit spotty -- long wait between courses -- but it was Thanksgiving and the restaurant was packed, so they get a pass on that. would love to go back on a night when the entire menu is available. a warm and inviting neighborhood joint, with friendly staff and comfy, low-key elegance.
Fantastic Thanksgiving dinner! Great service and charming atmosphere!
Enjoyed this restaurant except the noise level. It was a full house at Sunday brunch and I could not comfortably talk with my dining companions. They need to add some sound buffering on the ceiling.
A really good, creative and extensive brunch menu - so appreciative of the chef's eye for plating and menu -- really great crepes (savory & sweet), many eggs benedict options (we had the pork belly and salmon-YUM) and wonderful coffee! Lori had been our server at dinner service a few weeks back - really appreciate how attentive, yet discreet she is. Another excellent dining experience! We'll be back soon.
Great food: interesting, tasty and well-presented. Appetitizers were great. Could make a dinner of them. Service was incedible! Always there when you need them, but nor intrusive. Informative, and informed.
We went to Cafe Boho because I bought a Groupon. I use Groupons to try new restaurants and most I don't return to. Yet Cafe Boho was different. The savory crepes were outstanding. The service friendly and efficient. I will definitely be returning. I can't wait to try other items on the menu!
Wonderful food and very quiet, intimate dining experience. I look forward to returning! Service was slow, so come with someone you don’t mind having a leisurely meal with.
Food very nice. Service could be better.
This was our 3rd time at BoHo's and we really do love everything about it. The food is wonderfully flavored and prepared beautifully, the service is so attentive and warm, and the price is very reasonable for what is offered. We look forward to returning, and are lucky to be able to do so.
One of my favorite restaurants in SF. Wonderful high quality food, great service, and the best owners. Make sure you try the seacuterie board and everything on the brunch menu! I have loved everything I’ve tried.
We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner we had at BoHo. It was not at all what we expected. It was BETTER!! The preparations of every dish was unique. The beef tartare was exquisite. The mussels were plump, juicy and in probably the best sauce we have had in a long time! Lori our server was outstanding. Such a nice change to go to a new place and have such wonderful experience. We intend to try many of their other dishes. Try it!
Beautifully designed little restaurant just off of busy Chestnut street. They have creative cocktails made with wine variants to make up for lack of a liquor license. We enjoyed the food. However, we were really, really disappointed by the service. While we waited for our table, then bartender took our order and (one cocktail, three beers) and then didn't bother making the drinks. We were the *only* ones at the bar. He then dismissively told us to just reorder from our server. The server must have been having an off night. We had to flag her down anytime we needed something. As a former waiter, I'm generally pretty patient and understanding, but this was brutal from start to finish. Hope they can turn this around because the restaurant has a ton of potential, but we won't be going back.
Brunch and coffee was on point!!
We were so happy with our meal here. Between 2 of us we ordered 3 starters (the persimmon salad, beet salad and tuna tartare) and an entree (steak bavette) and split everything. The steak was incredibly tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The salads were delicious. The wine was great. I highly recommend this as a date spot or a place for a group of 4. It's a cozy space, so it gets a little loud, but with a small enough group it wouldn't be an issue.
Finally - a restaurant where everything comes together perfectly - atmosphere, staff (thanks Lori), menu, wine list (thanks George for your suggestions - each perfectly paired to our meal) and an inspired chef driving the kitchen! The floor is gorgeous, the bathrooms spacious and tastefully decorated, the lighting throughout complimentary. And the CHEF :-) .... this was my 2nd time at BOHO - the whole Branzino fish is worth the visit alone, the pork chops were amazing, share lots of appetizers and finish with the housemade desserts - napoleons, gelato and sorbets - treat yourself soon!
Fantastic food and service. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and kind. Great food and a cool, eclectic wine list. We tried wine from some regions I never had before.
The staff was very warm and welcoming. Being vegetarian, I had the papperdelle and definitely recommend it! Best pasta dish I’ve had in awhile. The cocktails were nice but a bit on the sweet side, although I would still go back and order the same drinks: rosary (pictured) and negronito
Best octopus I’ve ever had, even better than numerous octopus meals in Barcelona. Service was impeccable. Overall a fantastic experience.
We will be back to try the entrees. The compressed salad and appetizers we had for dinner were very tasty. We were full after the foie gras. Even though we were full, we enjoyed the seacuterie board that followed. They have a interesting wine menu. George, who was in charge of the drinks menu, introduced us to wines that we didn’t expect to go so well with the seacuterie board. Who knew that wines from Mexico would be so nice and go so well with the food. It was a fun and tasty experience.
I found Boho after searching for new and interesting restaurants in the marina/Fillmore area on Yelp and I am so glad I did.
The food was unique and delicious. The service was first rate. It’s definitely worth a visit.
I tried their Branzino and it was wonderful.
My only issue was one of ambient noise. Lots of hard surfaces have the acoustics bouncing sound around the room. The server commented on it and mentioned they are working on solutions.
Went for brunch. Very good food and loved the warm interior. Felt the brunch prices were very reasonable for the city. Definitely worth a return trip.
Cozy place. Staff was nice and helpful in making decisions. Food came out fast on a busy Saturday evening.
Excellent food and service but the noise level was unbearable.
Great service! Delicious food! Will be back.
We came here for dinner without too much excitement and we very pleasantly surprised. The service was a little slow in the beginning but the made up for it pretty quickly. The food was very delicate and delicious. There was hint of Japanese fusion influence, a hint of molecular gastronomy and whole lot of flavor. Very impressed. Napoleon for desert was a totally surprise - a good way!
Very nice place, sophisticated high quality food( too many to list), great ambiance, good prices.
Dessert - Savory Napoleon -is Amazing!
This place was perfect in my book.
1. Phenomenal food at decent-sized portions
2. A really charming, authentic French atmosphere
3. It’s just slightly out of the way, so at brunch time on Sunday the place was pleasantly quiet.
Fantastic restaurant, can’t recommend it more.
Excellent friendly service. In the reservation I put that we were celebrating our anniversary, so they surprised us with free champagne and wished us a happy anniversary! Food was outstanding
Great healthy menu, unique dishes!
The worst dining experience I have ever had. Ended up leaving and took my burger home with me. It was completely raw.
