BOGNERS OF PENTICTON
The dedicated Staff operates a private farm in the mornings making them near self-sufficient in the Summer and Fall months.
We've been in Penticton for 14 years and never made it to Bogners, silly us!! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented and we are looking forward to our next visit!
This was a very pleasant surprise in a lovely restored house, a menu that changes every 10 days or so, delicious locally sourced food and friendly helpful service. We will be back.
Make sure to go on a night when no large groups are scheduled to attend
Bogner's does everything they can to accomodate people with food allergies. The Pinot Noir was great too. I want to try the strawberry daiquiri.
Excellent in all ways. The food, the service, the ambiance. It was a delicious experience, and we are looking forward to our next visit.
A wonderful experience!
New to the community and was surprised to find this hidden gem. Quiet, elegant and the food was fabulous. Definitely will go back!
Fabulous date night dinner, flavors were amazing
Great food many layers of taste in every bite! Portions are a good size. One of the best restaurants in Penticton!
Our first time at Bogners and we would definitely return. We tried the 5 course meal with the suggested wine pairings. Food was lovely and the service was excellent.
Amazing meal that was thoughtfully prepared. I brought my parents from out of town - mom has an allergy to shellfish so I called the restaurant ahead of time to see if there was the possibility of a 5-course meal that would suit her diet. They were able to make adjustments and delivered a very special meal. We were lucky enough to be served by the chef owner who took the time to tell us about the production, history of the restaurant and source of many of the ingredients in the meal. It was a truly special meal that my folks and I will remember and be chatting about for some time. Thank you Bogners!
Food was great, very nice, unique dining experience! The people were amazing! Getting caught up visiting with a friend we didn’t notice how late it was, they didn’t make us feel like we were creating an inconvenience even though I know we were! Thank you for that, loved it!
BOGNERS is amazing in every category - always making for a wonderfully enjoyable dining experience. The owner and chef is truly talented at creating incredibly flavour-filled dishes. The service is first class and the ambiance beautiful. We always enjoy it.
Everything was wonderful and our visit made for a wonderful Valentines Day. Service was fantastic and will definitely return. Thank you
Food was fantastic!
Really enjoyed the 5 course family style dinner. Course progression was nicely thought out Best French Onion soup ever
Great service. All around a memorable meal experience
Can't think of anything negative. Professional all the way. Just know in advance; you have two choices and it's either a 4 course or 5 course meal with optional wine pairing. Not really a kids destination.
Delicious rack of lamb, creatively prepared. Excellent service - very knowledgeable about local wines and the wine scene. Attentive and caring service. High quality four course meal for a very reasonable fixed price. Highly recommend.
Our experience at Bogners was very nice. The food was excellent as was the service. Quiet and cozy atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner.
Limited menu choices.
Small menu variety, but tasty.
A bit pricey for portion size.
Unhurried meal lots of time to converse with friends.
Farm to table style restaurant using very fresh ingredients. I had the five course meal and this has been the most flavourful meal in Penticton to date. As this meal is several courses be prepared to be at the restaurant for a few hours. Service is not rushed and lets you enjoy the food.
This restaurant has been around for years. Hadn't been there for a long time and we were pleasantly surprised that everything was still excellent.
Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back.
Very pleasant and tasty presentation on 8 Aug 2018 ~ we were celebrating my daughters 'late '30's' birthday and wanted to do something different.
We decided on the 5 Course Meal (3 of 4 of us opted for the Wine Pairing as well). The presentation and explanation of the offerings was very well done.... one member is vegetarian and felt the quantity of veggies could be upped a wee bit, but did fine overall. The wine pairings were done well, and one will be worthy of a winery visit. I was sorry I had passed my Malbec off when the dessert of Black Forest Cake came at the end ~ there is just SOMETHING about 'chocolate and red' that makes both seem a little more decadent.
The Berry Mustard with the first course Charcuterie was delightful, as was the Rye bread (2 toast points per diner? Please? The bread was delicious on its own). The pairing was Red Sangria ~ chock full of berries, and just the right sweetness.
The Classic Okanagan Tomato Salad was a hit with the vegetarian, and the rest of the party understood the difference between a store tomato and a farm tomato. The pairing was Moraine Cliffhanger White that stood up perfectly to the vinaigrette.
The Asian Pork Belly was the highlight of the meal ~ and I would have paid extra for more crabapple croquettes! The grilled peaches in the glaze were sought out amid the yellow beans and mung bean sprout nest and devoured with gusto. Paired with Van Weston Vivacious, the food was the star... the wine the supporting actor.
The Flatbread with duck ham and duck confit was beautiful and most of it came home with us ~ on the heels of the Pork Belly, we couldn't attack the flatbread with the same interest. The pairing was the only red of the evening (fine with the party ~ we all prefer whites) this Riverstone Malbec 2015 - rich and pungent to the palette and the predictable satisfaction.
Dessert: Cherry Black Forest cake - take my money, and bring the rest of that Malbec.
It was great
Fantastic food everytime we go. Awesome staff. Romantic & warm atmosphere. We go as a couple, family or group and Bogners has never disappointed.
Eat here quite often. This time dinner wasn’t as great as in past. Overly salty was t overly thrilled with the food but our server and the restaurant were great.
Food was fantastic and lots of food in the 5 course tasting meal. Loved the look of the restaurant. Only downside was the service - seemed inexperienced...new tastings came way to fast and staff wanted to take wine glasses away when not even finished lol.
The Team at Bogner's never fails to deliver an outstanding meal and experience!
Thanks again, we always appreciate our evening!
Bogners is excellent. Darin the chef is outstanding and the food is a taste sensation. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Our go to restaurant. Always excellent!
Not as good as expected. With such a limited menu you should be able to nail the ones you are featuring. Ribs were dry and perhaps reheated. Soup was bland. Caesar salad was great and the canapés with small salad were awesome. I suspect when they get busier in the summer food will improve. Gorgeous setting and ambiance but the food was uneven.
Visiting Penticton for the 1st time and went on Open Table and found this gem...really the food here is well prepared and very fresh....after the 4 course meal I believe I experienced every tasting sense possible. Will be back for sure.
The best wiener or veal schnitzel I've ever tasted!
