   Stick with the sauerkraut dishes. For a famous Paris restaurant, the food and service were marginal. My husband did not receive what he ordered and the replacement onion tart was served cold. Our waiter did make it up to us with profiteroles on the house. Beautiful restaurant; not sure we will go back.

   Unfortunately, they had problems with OpenTable Reservation. You need to confirm by phone before to be sure you will get a table!

   This was my 5th visit to Bofinger when I visit Paris. Unfortunately, this time the service and food were not as good. It made me sad. It was my favorite restaurant in Paris.

   We arrived at Bofinger for an 8 PM booking made through Open Table. The host told us had no record of a booking, that his system does not communicate with Open Table, that the restaurant was booked for the evening, but we could go to the bottom of the waitlist. Two questions come to mind. Why doesn’t Bofinger remove itself from Open Table? Why does Open Table continue to confirm bookings for Bofinger on its site? The host made clear to me that this situation has happened before. After waiting forty five minutes for a table at Bofinger, we went around the corner to a lovely small restaurant that was very busy but more than happy to accommodate us with a wonderful meal and courteous service.

   Delicious food. Terrible experience and service. They dropped a bowl of hot snails in my lap as soon as we set down. They did nothing to help the situation. Not even offer a towel and water. AWFUL. My pants and cashmere sweater are ruined.

   First, they claimed that they were not connected to Open Table, and did not have our reservation. Second, the waiters constantly reminded us that they really didn’t care and would have preferred being someone else. This “iconic” Parisian” restaurant is no longer what it was a few years ago. We will not be returning.

   I have gone to Bofinger for 40 yrs and have watched it deteriorate over the years to now being just another brasserie with a pretty ceiling. The food is poor quality and the menu has become trite.

   The restaurant catered mostly to tourists. Our food arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes after we ordered. There was no AC in the restaurant so it was very uncomfortable on a warmer day in Paris. The food was actually good and we enjoyed the meal but there was just too many people, not enough service and extremely hot. I probably wouldn’t come here again.

    Perhaps it was the end of July that was the issue or that we were American and didn’t speak French well but the service was inattentive and the food was merely ok. It was disappointing as my husband and I dined here 22 years ago and fell in love with the restaurant. It was not a terrible experience but not as fine dining as I had anticipated

    The service and ambiance are fabulous. The staff is so professional and yet friendly and approachable. We are English speakers and they accommodated us very well. The food was of course top notch. My husband normally hates sauerkraut but Bofinger has converted him!

    We waited for service and asked for water 4 times and then asked every time we ran out. The support staff was much more helpful and pleasant. Food was great. The sauerkraut delicious

    Excellent food and service. Noise levels are a little high but that’s because the restaurant was full and people were enjoying themselves. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Paris

    I celebrated my boyfriend birthday here and it was nothing but amazing. The ambien uwas break taking and the food was delicious. It is highly recommended place to visit.

    Definitely our worst night out in Paris. It may have been open tables fault, as the restaurant did not have our reservation, despite me having the confirmation email. The restaurant sat us anyway, which was nice, but proceeded with the worst, rudest service we had in all of Paris. For fair food at a relatively high price, they acted like they were the best place in town.

    Starters arrived 40 minutes after our order was taken. Table near us who arrived 10 mins after we did had finished their mains at this point. Our waiter seemed confused, twice brought us food that we didn’t order. When our starters did appear, on 2 were brought to us. We had to prompt for the 3rd which they found on top of the flambé shelf just next to us. No idea who put it there. Mains also took a bit of time but they were great, the coq was truly fantastic, best I’ve had in Paris. Had to order just one dessert before we finished our mains as we were had a train to catch and simply ran out of time due to the long wait for food. We spent 1 hr 45 mins there which should have been enough time to enjoy a 3 course meal if service was a bit more brisk like you would expect in a brasserie. Would we go back? Yes. As the food was great. But next time we will allow ourselves 3 hours.

    We visited for lunch on a Monday. The place was full and the buzz was brilliant. There's a lot to choose from on the menu. We were made to feel very welcome and the service was fantastic. A very lovely Parisian experience.

    Der Restaurant Bescuh bleibt leider deutlich hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Der Service war unfreundlich und unaufmerksam. Von Rest. Bofinger darf man deutlich mehr erwarten. Das Essen war in Ordnung, jedoch kein kulinarisches Erlebnis. Es blieb hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Einen weiteren Besuch im Bofinger plane ich nicht.
