Boeuf is Medway’s first Steak Frites House, a restaurant serving the ultimate steak frites experience. Brought to you by the same team at The Dead Pigeon Pub & The Greedy Banker Pub, Boeuf is a unique experience that elevates this popular French/Belgian dish.

Through heavy research and years of knowledge working with beef we bring to you quite possibly the best cut of steak; Sirloin Pavé. This is a rare, premium cut of beef which has the same juicy tenderness of a fillet steak with the rich beefy flavour of a sirloin.

Our menu is precise and to the point but there is no need to do more when we have the best of everything all on one plate.

What makes our steak frites experience unique is we serve you the steak frites twice. Yes that’s right double steak frites!

Please note due to the size of the restaurant we are unable to accommodate pushchairs or high chairs. There is also no children's menu.

    The dining experience was second to none, we arrived about twenty minutes early to be shown our table straight away, drinks were ordered and arrived within five minutes, they only serve steak and chips with two sauces, bread and boeuf butter are served first, then the steak and frites, which are cooked to absolute perfection melt in the mouth steak and crunchy frites, then when nearly finished another serving is brought to your table. All in all a very good experience with the best steak I have ever eaten.

    I always tend to visit new restaurants when they open in the Rochester area so I was excited to check out Boeuf. My partner and I visited at a very quiet time so we were able to take our time and speak to the staff who were working that day (they were both lovely company and very fun to chat with). The menu is deliberately simple and, as well as the main event (steak and chips served twice) you could order light starters and desserts. There was also a drinks list with various wines, cocktails and beers on offer. Personally, I thought the dishes were a little too salty for my taste but the chips were really delicious and the steak was lovely. The sauce was too heavy on the rosemary but it was still a nice dipping sauce and the mayo was a good addition. It would be a sin not to mention the bread with beef butter, which comes as part of the main; it was utterly incredible and I need the team to sell it to takeaway so that I can have it on everything! My partner, conversely, thoroughly enjoyed the meal (he likes lots of salt) and had no notes. I would definitely return and would recommend this as a good value place to eat (we shared Padron Peppers for our starter, shared an Affogato for dessert and had two Stubbies, plus shared a bottle of wine, in addition to our mains and it came to £60.00 each, including service).

    I went for my birthday with a friend, loved the fact it’s a small restaurant, seating very comfortable, cocktails were fabulous but if you go in think of ordering normal cocktails you will not find any you recognise so you need to work out what you might like by the ingredients, luckily for us we chose amazing ones to the point that we had 3 each . The olives were tasty but not so keen on the peppers starter . Steak melted in your mouth and the dips very tasty, we had pudding which was nice . The bill for 2 was £192 which we did nearly fall off our chairs . If I went back I would not have starters , 2 cocktails as very nice but no pudding then the bill would not cause a heart attack 😂

    Absolutely stunning, the vibe, the staff, the food all brilliant. I would say hands down one of our best dining experiences in Kent! The staff were amazing, really knowledgeable about their food, drinks were really good. A really special place!

    Fantastic concept and well delivered, a couple of minor points that didn’t detract from our evening. Still a 5* experience for us and we will be going back and recommending it to others.

    We arrived and was seated straight away, the place is cosy and decor is lovely too. The Staff were very friendly and welcoming, The steak frites experience was absolutely amazing , the steak melts like butter in your mouth and you get two helpings which is amazing!

    The restaurant serves about 20 covers, sitting was comfortable, dark woods & leather seats. Staff were attentive, friendly & explained the breakdown of the menu. Drinks were taken a very good selection too. Didn’t have to wait long for our food & it was delicious 😋 Will definitely return & recommend Boeuf.

    Just delicious. I could smother myself in their boeuf steak sauce. Their Pavé and sirloin steaks are melt in the mouth. Ten star all round. Very attentive service as well

    Arrived at the time for our table, only to be told the table wasn't ready. Was sent to the Dead Pigeon for a drink, without any support e.g. a voucher to cover the unexpected cost. Finally sat down at 19:25 (table at 19:00) where our waiter immediately complained about not wanting to be there after a day at college. This set the tone of the meal thereafter. The waiter had trouble remembering details of the menu and struggled taking drinks orders. We were dubious as to whether the drinks would arrive correct. The bread and butter was fine, underseasoned and the butter was solid and hard to spread, but fine otherwise. The steak was great, but the chips left a lot to be desired, given how good the Dead Pigeon's chips are. Additionally, the sauces were just fine. After less than an hour of sitting (around 8:15), the party that were next due to be seated on our table arrived. They were also suggested to go to the Dead Pigeon but refused and staunchly waited in the restaurant. We were approached by another member of the waitstaff apologetically and asked to move. We did, having drinks removed from the bill in compensation, but I'm unsure as to why the restaurant was back-to-back booked rather than leaving space between covers to account for delays. Overall a disappointing experience for a much-awaited table.
